#1. Prologue
Life is a game, and all of us are pawns in it. Everyone has their own struggles, and it's our outlook that determines how we overcome them. One such family is the Malhotra family. The head of the family, Anoop Malhotra, has overcome his struggles and made a good name for himself in the business fraternity. His family includes his wife, Naina Malhotra; his daughter, Ruhana; and his son, Rajeev Malhotra. They are a small family where there's only space for love.
Rajeev and Ruhana are one year apart, yet the former treats the latter as a baby. Ruhana also acts childish in front of her parents and brother. Life is good for the Malhotra family and all of them hope that life be good for them.

It's a fine day in the Malhotra House. It's 7 AM in the morning and Mr Anoop Malhotra is reading the morning newspaper and his wife is sitting beside him. They are having their morning tea and there's light music playing in the background. Anoop hears his wife humming the song and looks at her.
"Dono bache kahan reh gaye?" He asks, concerned about his children.
"Aap toh aise puch rahe hain jaise vo dono chote bachche ho. Aa jayenge. Aap jaante hain na dono ek sath walk pe jaate hain. Aur jab Raj nahi jaata toh aapki laadli bhi nahi jaati." Naina smiles at her husband.
"Dono mein itna pyar jo hain." Anoop says with a smile.
"Han, Anoop. Vo toh hain. Vo dono ladte bhi hain lekin ek dusre ko ache se sambhalte bhi hain. " Naina says and her smile widens.
"Sach Naina, abhi toh kal ki hi si baat lagti hain. Par tum jaanti ho sabse achi baat kya hai? Wo ye hain ki hum ek sath rehte hain, kabhi kabhi vo dono ladte hain, jhagadte hain! Lekin usse kahin zyada pyar karte hain. Har bhai ya behen ko aisa hona chahiye, lekin wo ho nahi pate." Anoop says softly.
"Kyunki har kisi ki soch ek si nahi hoti, Anoop. Humne apne bachon ko wahi diya, jo hume mila. Humne unhe pyar karna sikhaya, kisi se comparison karna nahi. Aur aap hi toh kehte hain, Anoop, pyar pe duniya kayam hain. Aur pyar toh har roop mein hi hota hain." Naina verbalises her point and Anoop can't deny it.
She's right. Love isn't limited to happening between a couple. It occurs between parents and child, siblings and even friends. Both Anoop and Naina have taught their children that they mustn't assume the other person weakly or should not behave obligatory towards them. Even though you may not like the thoughts of a person, you must respect their opinion. Rajeev and Ruhana are the same and very careful and considerate of the person whom they do not like or if they don't like their thoughts.
Life is good for this family. Anoop and Naina are glad of the upbringing they have given to their children. They also know these two will stick together in every citation that will come up in their life.
They are one happy family.

They are conversing when a girl in her mid-twenties enters the living room. She's wearing a black tracksuit. She beams at her parents and wishes them the day. She plops on the couch beside her father who embraces her with one arm. Her mom gets her a cup of coffee. The girl is Ruhana Malhotra. Naina looks at her daughter and asks about her brother, Rajeev.
"Tum akeli aayi ho? Bhai kahan hai tumhara?" Naina asks about her son.
"I don't know. Aapke laadle bete ko mere liye time kahan hai? I tell you, unhone girlfriend bana li hai, usi se baatein kar rahe honge." Ruhana says cheekily and chuckles loudly.
"Kya bolti hai tu? Wo bhai hain tera." Naina pretends to scold her daughter.
"Han toh sach bata rahi hoon na, Mumma. Mere bhai ne mere liye bhabhi dhundh li hai." Ruhana chuckles, shrugging her shoulder.
Meanwhile, Rajeev enters the house and shushes Ruhana. He has heard all that his sister is saying. He throws a cushion at his sister.
"Hey, what are you telling them? I mean tum kya ulta-seedha sikha rahi ho Maa aur Dad ko?" Rajeev glares at her.
"Wahi jo sach hai. Tumne mere liye bhabhi dhudh li hai na, wahi bata rahi thi Mumma ko. Ab mujhe bhi milva do na meri Bhabhi se." She chuckles at the moment.
"Hey, kuch bhi! Maa, aap iski baaton mein na aana." Rajeev says and looks at his mom.
Ruhana glares at Rajeev and clicks out her tongue at him while Rajeev does the same. These two are crazy, when they are together, they behave like they are 4 and 5-year-olds and fight like that. Ruhana teases her brother.
"Wo meri hi baat maanengi, bhaiya. Okay! Aur vaise bhi aapko bhi maanna padega. Kyunki baad mein bhi tum mujhe hi yaad karoge." Ruhana says teasingly.
"Oh yeah! Tum toh sasural chali jaogi. Rishta bhi aaya tumhare liye. " he takes the chance and says teasingly while Ruhana makes a face.
"Main nahi, tum karo shadi pehle. Aap bade ho mujhse. Pehle meri bhabhi ko le aao. Main kyu karun?" Ruhana replies in the same teasing tone.
"Kyunki tum choti ho na. Aur rishta bhi aaya tumhare liye." Rajeev replies teasingly and messes her hair.
Ruhana throws a cushion at him and runs behind him. The chase game continues for a few minutes and later, the two siblings sit on the couch, dead tired. Ruhana looks a little disturbed when Anoop tells them that they have actually got an alliance for Ruhana and the family wants to meet her. The girl gets annoyed and moves to her room. Her parents sigh deeply.
Ruhana is not interested in marriage in any way. She wants to work, gain experience and open a business of her own. She doesn't want to fall in love or marry just for the sake of society. She understands that her parents must have chosen the right groom for her but she needs time, honestly.
On the other hand, Rajeev convinces his parents that he will talk to Ruhana and will ask her to meet the prospected groom. There's no bad in meeting a guy. If you don't like it, you have the option to deny it. Anoop and Naina agree to their son. A big day has begun for the Malhotra Family.

In the other part of the city, there resides another family, the Singhania Family. This family includes 4 members and they love each other immensely. The head of the family is Gautami Singhania. She loves her sons immensely and her life resides in her grandson. They are one happy family, but there's one sorrow that resides in the family — in the life of the elder son of the house, Vineet Singhania.
Vineet has been happily married to his wife, Mahika and they're blessed with a son, named Veer. An unfortunate accident took this happiness from Vineet, as Mahika died in an unfortunate accident leaving Veer and Vineet alone. They've been in 2 years of marriage and 3 years have passed since Mahika's death. Little Veer is now 4 years old. While Vineet has pushed himself into a silent zone.
Vineet's mother, Gautami and younger brother, Sachin Singhania are trying their best to bring him out but he misses his late wife a lot and has turned arrogant and rude. He has started being rude to his mom as well. Her mother wants him to get remarried for Veer's sake. But Vineet is against her decision.
It's a fine day in the Singhania Mansion. Gautami is setting the breakfast table and Veer is roaming behind her. The lady smiles at her grandson.
"Kya hua, Veer? Kyun ghum raha hai aise? Bhook lagi hai?" Gautami asks him.
"Main gussa hoon, Dadi." Little Veer folds his hand around his chest.
"Arey, dadi ne kya kiya? Mujhse kyun gussa ho?" Gautami makes a sad face.
"Aapne nahi, papa ne kiya. Aapko pata hai, maine Papa ko bola ki wo ek game khele mere sath, par unhone mana kardiya. Aur chachu bhi pata nahi kidhar busy hai! Main bahut gussa hoon." Veer makes a face complaining about his father and father figure.
"Aww, aise gussa nahi karte, bache. Main un dono ki class lungi, abhi chalo, table pe baitho aur doodh piyo." Gautami says lovingly.
"Okay Dadi, aap keh rahi ho isliye. Lekin aap papa ko dant lagana. Wo hamesha mujhpe gussa karte rehte hain." Veer makes a cute and sad face.
Gautami shakes her head and makes him sit on the table and gives him a glass of milk. Meanwhile, Sachin also joins him at the table but Veer ignores him leaving him surprised.
"Good morning, champ! Kya hua? Jawab kyun nahi de rahe?" Sachin asks softly.
"Main aapse gussa hoon, chachu." He glares at his chachu.
""Arey, maine kya kiya?" he asks innocently.
"Huh, aap aur papa yahi kyun puchte ho? Maine kitni baar bulaya aapko, par aap toh kaam kar rahe they. Aap mere sath nahi khelte ab. Main aapse baat nahi karunga." Veer turns away his face.
"Betu, zaroori kaam tha na. Acha, aaj sham ko hum dono garden mein jayenge, okay?" Sachin asks looking at his nephew.
"Pakka na? Aap papa ki tarah bhoologe toh nahi na?" Veer looks at him intently.
"Nahi beta! Aap sham ko mujhe phone kardena. Phir hum dono jayenge. Aur aapki Dadi ko bhi le chalenge." Sachin says as he finds his mum approaching him.
"Okay Chachu. Dadi kehti hain koi mistake karta hai toh usko chance dena chahiye. Ye aapka last chance hain. Agar aap bhul gaye toh main sach mein aapse naraaz ho jaunga." He says.
Sachin laughs at his innocent words and then continues to sip his coffee. Gautami serves breakfast to Sachin and Veer while at the same time, her elder son, Vineet comes out of his room, talking on the phone. He disconnected the call and takes his seat at the table beside his son. Veer doesn't say anything but continues eating breakfast.
Gautami looks at both her sons and says something that leaves Vineet angry and Sachin sighs deeply. Gautami is disappointed but Sachin convinces her that he will talk to Vineet. He knows it's gonna be hard in convincing his brother.
To Be Continued..
