Everyone was sitting in the living room. Some on the floor and some on chairs or couches. Eri was sleeping soundly in Bakugo's lap and he cradled her in his arms carefully so she wouldn't wake up. 

"So?" Dabi asked. "Mind explaining now?" Even though Dabi wasn't one to get too much in other's business, he couldn't help it here. "Yeah, I'd think we'd all like an explanation for why the hell you adopted a kid." Shigaraki said with a bit of annoyance in his voice. 

"Watch it shigaraki." Deku said in a threatening tone. The others who were about to speak, suddenly quickly quieted down not wanting to anger him. "But, really Midoryia, can we have an explanation?" Iida asked, not in a bad tone, but one that seemed genuinely curious and confused. 

"Fine. An explanation it is then." Bakugo started. "Basically in short, Eri's parents had it in their wills that if anything happened, she was to be put under our protection unless her grandparents were alive, which they weren't." There was a small pause before he continued to speak. "We were the ones in her dad's will to adopt her by our own choice, but if any grandparents were alive they'd take her. None were, so we did. All legal matters are taken care of already." 

The whole room was quiet. The only sounds heard were Eri's small snores and breathing as she slept. It was a peaceful sound that filled the room and relaxed the others making them able to take in the new information. Then the questions started to roll in. 

"Are you guys sure it's okay for her? Safe?" Toga asked, showing real worry for the small child that had already won her affection. "Don't worry Toga. It might not be the safest place, but it's better than not knowing what kind of home she could end up in." Deku replied in a kind tone. 

"What about the fact this is the Mafia? Does she know?" Momo asked wanting clear details. "Yes she knows, her parents didn't hide anything from her." Deku again replied. "Besides a few things..." Bakugo responded with an angry tone. His voice was quiet and low, but the others still heard it. "What? Did they hide something from her?" Momo asked again, worry for the little bean. "Some stuff...but that's not important right now." Deku said closing any question about it down. 

"You said all legal matters were taken care of? Wouldn't records show who adopted her? People could find us." Todoroki said with a straight face as usual. "She was born in America , but raised in Japan. All records there hold no meaning here, they wouldn't think to check that let alone that we have a kid." Bakugo answered that one. He seemed tired and it wasn't unnoticed by Deku. 

"Love, Kacchan get some sleep. I'll answer the rest, okay?" Deku said moving his hand to Bakugo's knee to calm him down a  bit.  In response, too tired to talk Bakugo gave a small nod before turning a bit and laying on the couch. He gently put Eri next to him and pulled her closer as she subconsciously pulled closer to him too. 

Deku reached over and grabbed a blanket to cover the two. He stood up and tucked the two on the couch. "I'll wake you up when I go to bed. Love you Kacchan." Deku said. "Love you too nerd." Bakugo replied in a quiet voice. Bakugo let out a small yawn and closed his eyes, starting to fall asleep. Deku kissed the top of his head gently before pulling away and sitting back in his original spot next to him.

The group of friends continued to ask Deku questions about Eri's safety, how things would play out, and other such questions. They talking about Eri's school plans when a phone rang. 

•Katy Perry song Roar starts playing from someone's phone• 

"Who the fuck-" "Oh that's Bakubro's." Denki answered Shigaraki's question before he could even finish the sentence, as he reached over and grabbed the phone. "Of course it is..." Deku chuckled a bit, but became worried as he saw Denki's face. "Kami, who is it?" He asked seeing the look of anger, and pure confusion on his face. After a few more rings Denki answered it.

"Sero? Who gave you Bakugo's number?" Denki asked in a coldish tone. He really didn't like Sero since he had a few times tried to hit on him even when he said no. The voice on the other side wasn't super clear so Tsu waved over for Denki to put it on speaker for the others. 

"Hey Kaminari. I guess I still have it from awhile ago. Actually, why do you have Bakubro's phone?" Sero asked. His voice perked a bit hearing Denki's voice instead of Bakugo's which he didn't expect.

"He's staying at my place for a while. Now why'd you call?" Kaminari didn't feel much of a need to explain himself or Bakugo to Sero. He simply gave vague answers. 

"Damn dude, didn't mean to press any button there~ anyways, Kirishima is here and he wanted to talk to him. Mind passing the phone?" Sero was horrible at flirting. Especially through the phone, he sounded weird and it made almost everyone in the room cringe. Deku's face soured at the mention of that redhead's name. Denki of course noticed this and gave an answer.

"No can do. He's asleep, but I can pass a message for him." Denki said trying to put a mask of friendliness on his voice. The others held back giggles and laughs as they heard Denki's voice become friendly, but his face showing nothing more than him being annoyed and frustrated.

There were a few muffled sounds of someone talking and sounds of movement until a different voice reached the phone. "Hey Kamibro! Sero said you'd pass a message for me?" Kirishima asked, clearly already knowing. It annoyed everyone who was awake in the room, making them wish they were asleep like Bakugo and Eri.

"Yeah. What is it?" Denki said. He continued to keep his cheerful and friendly voice up even though it was tiring and he didn't like it. 

" I was wondering if we could meet up? I wanted to ask him for coffee maybe. Just catch up, ya get me?" The last few words sent spikes of hate down almost everyone's spines, but especially Deku and Denki. Deku felt pissed at this comment being Bakugo's boyfriend and adoptive dad to their new kid, and Denki felt nothing but hate and resentment to Kirishima for the words. He was Bakugo's best friend even if Katsuki wouldn't admit it, and he hated seeing his BFF getting talked about like that.

"Sorry man, don't think he's interested. Especially after-" Denki somehow managed to keep himself calm, but almost slipped at the end. Deku however, was fuming with anger. His knuckles were turning white from how tightly he was holding his fists trying to hold himself back. 

"Huh? After what?" Kirishima asked. His voice sounded actually confused, like he had no memory of what had happened. This made Denki lose his cool, and he blurted the words out before he could think.

"Especially after last year. Why the hell would he go out with you after what you said to him?" Denki's tone was now matching his face a bit, but not completely. If it matched completely, he would already be driving to wherever the two were with a gun in hand.

"Bro chill. It wasn't that deep, and I thought you were on my side about it? He rejected me like that, and didn't even give me a chance. Even when I tried again." Those simple yet powerful words made pure hate in everyone's eyes. They all knew who Kirishima was, what he did to Bakugo, and they all completely hated him. 

"Are you stupid? Why the hell would he give you a chance ever? You literally told him you wished he'd die on that mission. Do you not hear how fucked up that is? Fuck you, and fuck you too Sero. Learn to take a hint when someone says no jackass." The whole room was stunned. Kaminari wasn't one to talk like that almost ever. The others on the phone were  completely speechless. No words were said before Denki spoke again.

"Call either one of us again and see what happens. And that goes for you too Mina. I know you're there." There was a slight pause when he talked and a small gasp on the other line. 

"I've made this clear. Don't call or text us unless for school purposes. And don't think of trying to bring someone from class into this." Denki's voice was firm and powerful as he talked. 

"Kamibabe chill! What's the problem? Just go on a simple date with Sero and Bakugo can go on a date with Kirishima! I don't see the problem." Mina had finally spoke up since it was already clear she was there. "Honestly, Kirishima was just joking around before, not his problem Bakugo can't handle a joke. And what's the problem with you going out with Sero?" Mina asked. Her voice sounded a bit shaky as she spoke, but admittedly, she hid it well. 

"We're not interested." With those words, Denki hung up the phone and threw it a bit away. The others were partly shocked at how he spoke and partly proud of their friend. He stood up for himself and for Bakugo. 

"Good job Kami! I'm so proud of you!!" Uraraka Was the first to speak. She practically bounced in the air as she walked over to where he was sitting and hugged him. Soon the other girls gave him a hug and a few praises for his action. 

"Really, good job baby." Shinso said as he leaned down and hugged Denki. No one really noticed, but all the noises had woken up Bakugo. "What's going on? Quiet down or you'll wake up Eri." Bakugo said, gaining everyone's attention. They quieted down a bit, but did explain everything to Bakugo. 

When they finished, Bakugo looked over at Denki. "Ah.. thanks Pika." Bakugo didn't really know what to say but said what he could think of.  "Relax man. It's fine, plus I got to hopefully knock some sense into those three.Honestly, they're dumber than dumb." Denki said. He rolled his eyes at the last part. 

"Says you." Dabi mumbled. Without missing a beat, multiple pillows were thrown at him. "Shush Toya." Todoroki said. Everyone knew they were brothers and related to one of the biggest police officers in Japan, but no one really cared. "Jesus. Yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever dorks." Again, without a beat, multiple pillows hit him.

"Where the fuck are y'all getting those pillows?!" He was confused and looked around, his head spinning at a manic speed to find the source. Seeing this made others start to laugh. Somehow, the air had lost the angry and bitter tension from just a few moments ago. It now had a feeling of safety, joy, and sense of home to it.

After about an hour, everyone started walking to bed, as it was late and most were tired. It was now just Bakugo, Deku, Eri who was sleeping, Shinso, and Toga. The other two were helping clean up the pillows that had been thrown around before. 

"Kacchan, let's go to bed now. I'm-" Deku's talking was interrupted by a small and cute yawn, telling them Eri woke up. "Hey sweetie, you awake?" Deku asked. He was partially worried they wouldn't get some sleep since Eri had slept before and wouldn't sleep again, but this time he was lucky. 

"Mhmmm... but I wanna sleep more..." her voice was quiet and sounded tired. It melted the hearts of who were there and they looked at her with care. "Alright kiddo, let's get you to bed then." Bakugo said softly as he picked her up in his arms. She leaned forward on him, resting her head on his shoulders and closing her eyes. 

After the three changed into JPs they climbed into bed again together. "Hey Eri-Chan?" Deku asked to see if she was still awake. "Yes daddy?" Her voice was loud enough for the others to hear but still quiet. "Just wanted to ask if you'd like to go shopping for room things tomorrow?" Deku said. "Sure! Can we all go?" Her voice perked a bit hearing the words meaning going shopping. "Of course munchkin. Now get some sleep, love you sweetie." Deku replied giving a small kiss on her forehead. "Night, love you too papa and daddy..." her voice slowed down as she started drifting to sleep.

"Night Kacchan, love you." "Yeah, love you too nerd. Night or whatever." Bakugo replied to Deku. He was tired and just wanted to sleep. He cuddled more with Eri and Deku moved a bit. He moved a hand to Bakugo's hip and moved his hand on a small dip between his hip and rib cage area. It was a comforting touch that helped Bakugo fall asleep, as well as Deku. 

Now everyone was sound asleep, resting peacefully and waiting for the next day.

DONE~ it's 12AM rn and my sleep deprived ass can't sleep🥲 Hope this was good, I kinda liked the idea of Denki being the one to tell the others off so I did that.
