Nightmare Moon started laughing evilly however her laugh was cut short when she was hit by tiny Ki blast as she looked at someone who hit her.

N. Moon: "You...! You dare attack your princess! Who are you!?"

Sonic: "Heh! The name's Sonic and you made a big mistake coming here, Nightmare Moon! Your little nighttime is coming to an end and I'll make sure of it!"

N. Moon: [cackles] "You fool! No one can escape Nightmare Moon. You will only suffer when I conquer all of Equestria!"

Sonic: "Not on my watch!"

Sonic goes to charge at Nightmare Moon, who began attacking him with her magic spears but Sonic easily dodges NM's while mocking her but doing stunts and tricks before appearing behind her and kick her right through the door outside, earning surprise looks from everyone especially the Mane Six whom watched in awe.

Mane Six's Mind: (That's my future: Husband/Sugarcube/Knight/Party-Speed King/Prince!)

Twilight's Mind: (Get a hold of yourself!)

Sonic dodged a magical blast from Nightmare Moon and was about to strike her again only to get blasted when NM fired another spear from her hand, much to the Mane Six's dismay and worried for their crush's well-being.

Mane Six: "SONIC!!!"

They rushed to check on Sonic, who groaned as he felt a familiar yet strange surge of power but he quickly ignored as he looked to see Nightmare Moon laughed evilly before she escaped by turning into mist and rushed into the unknown distance. Sonic wanted to rush Nightmare Moon but the Mane Six forbids him to do so.

Back at Golden Oak Library...

Spike was in bed unconscious since Nightmare Moon had made her debut and Twilight was searching for books on how to stop Nightmare Moon before she takes over all of Equestria with a help of Sonic.

Sonic: "Have you doing anything yet, Twilight?" [Twilight shook her head in no manner.]

Applejack: "Anything we can do to help, fellas?"

Sonic: "The more, the merrier. We can't let Nightmare Moon conquer all of Equestria."

R. Dash: "Wait, you knew about Nightmare Moon?"

Sonic: "Yeah."

Fluttershy: "H-How?"

Pinkie: "Did you dreamt about her?"

Sonic: "Wha...?! I mean, not quite. Yes I was dreaming but I was warned by an unknown princess about Nightmare Moon's return and Twilight confirmed it. I wanted to be ready when she appeared but I didn't know about her using dark magic to power up that much. So we need to find a way to stop her."

Twilight: "I believe I know a way. We need the Elements of Harmony. But I don't know where they are nor what they are."

Pinkie: "The Elements of Harmony: A Reference Guide." [Gets shoved aside by Twilight.]

Twilight: "How did you find it?"

Pinkie: "It was under E~"

Twilight: "Oh...well now I feel stupid."

Sonic: "Hey, don't say that! Stress can make us forget things. Plus, Pinkie is a strange observer which is both weird but funny at the same time."

When Sonic commented that, Pinkie blush whilst the rest of the girls grew jealous but realized about what they talked about earlier and calmed down as Twilight started explain the Elements of Harmony.

Twilight: "There are seven Elements of Harmony but only five are known: Kindness, Laughter, Generosity, Honest and Loyalty. The sixth and seventh are a complete mystery. It is said the last known location of the five elements was in the ancient castle of the royal princess sisters. It is located in what is now..."

The scene shifts to the Everfree Forest.

Mane Six: "The Everfree Forest."

Sonic's Mind: (Huh. What a coincidence. This is the same place the warp ring brought me here while my mom fought off those tribes in order to help me escape. [sighs] I really miss mom. I hope she's doing okay.)

Twilight wanted to go alone but Sonic and the other girls decide against it and tag along with her since they can't leave friends behind or face the dangers alone. Twilight was a little annoyed but was happy that Sonic was tagging along with her.

Twilight: "So, none of you have been in here before?"

Rarity: "Ugh, heavens no! Just look at it—it's dreadful."

Applejack: "And it ain't natural. Folks say it don't work the same as Equestria."

Twilight: "What's that supposed to mean?"

R. Dash: "Nopony knows. You know why?" [Walks creepily at Rarity, Pinkie and Fluttershy.]

Applejack: "Rainbow, quit it."

R. Dash: "'Cause everypony who's ever come in has never... come... out!"

As she finished, Sonic saw a purple mist breaking the ground. His eyes widened before he turned to the Mane Six.

Sonic: "Everyone move, the path's gonna-!"

He was cut off when the pathway broke with Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy hovered thanks to having wings but the rest slide down. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy rescued both Rarity and Pinkie Pie. Sonic managed to save himself but Twilight was about to fall off the cliff but Applejack managed to grab her just in time.

Twilight: "Applejack! What do I do?"

Applejack: [Sees Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy ready to catch her.] "Let go."

Twilight: "Are you crazy?"

Applejack: "No I ain't. I promise you'll be safe."

Twilight: "That's not true!"

Sonic: "Twilight, listen to her! She's telling the truth. You're going to be okay. Just - let go."

Twilight listened and then she nodded before letting go and screamed as she fell only to be saved by Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy as they flew down and landed back onto the surface while Sonic was carrying AJ in his arms in a bridal style until they reached down the mountain.

Mane Five's Mind: (Lucky bitch!)

Applejack's Mind: (Oh Sugarcube~! You're so strong and hot when you carrying me like I'm your princess. I can't wait for us to be in bed soon  so I will show you how a cowgirl such as myself a wild ride~!)

Once they landed, Sonic explained to Twilight that Applejack is a honest girl ever since he met her and that made Twilight think.

Sonic: "I think Nightmare Moon's already on to us. That pathway was no accident. We better hustle and be extra careful along the way."

The Mane Six agreed with him as they nodded and they continued their way to the castle.

Twilight was surprised at Fluttershy's kindness as she quickly followed the rest of the group but the thorn that was lying on the ground spun all over before turning into purple mist as it quickly followed the group. As they kept going, it got darker as they were starting to get worried before the tree became seeable as they had scary faces almost like they were demons as the rest of girls were scared. Sonic wasn't impressed but Pinkie Pie started to laugh and making silly faces.

While all of them were laughing, they escaped the demon trees. Once they were done, they continue their quest with smiles on their faces but stopped when they come across a river going downstream but the water was going crazy. That made Sonic shivered in fear as the Mane Six saw this and Twilight comes over to him.

Twilight: "Sonic, are you ok?"

Sonic: "Um, did I forgot to tell you both that I really, REALLY hate water?"

Everyone then heard crying close by as they followed the sounds of it and saw what's causing the waves of the river.

Once they made it past the river, Sonic comments Rarity's shortened tail.

Sonic: "Even with your tail shortened, you're still beautiful as ever, Rarity."

That made Rarity blush red deep as she fainted from joy and was about to fall but Sonic caught her in time as the other girls grow jealous as they wished they passed out and get caught by Sonic instead. Anyway, Sonic and the Mane Six are almost close to the old castle as all they got to do is to ready the bridge. That's the job for Rainbow Dash as she flew over to the bridge and managed to get the walkway open. She then heard a whisper calling her name as she prepared to fight but she see's three Shadowbolts are here.

Shadowbolt: "Hello, Rainbow Dash. We've been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the best aerial in Equestria. We wish for you to join us."

R. Dash: "Really?! I mean... Oh yeah, me. Well, I am extremely talented."

Twilight and the others are growing worried before the fog started to clear out allowing Sonic to see Rainbow Dash interacting with the three Shadowbolts and tries to talk her out of it.

Sonic: "Rainbow Dash! Whatever they're telling or offering, don't listen to them and accept! They must be one of Nightmare Moon's tricks!"

The Shadowbolt Leader had enough as she used her power to create a fog barrier that blocked out noise and sight for Sonic and the rest of the girls. Rainbow Dash heard what Sonic said and snapped out of it.

Shadowbolt: "Forget about that stupid rat! He'll only drag you down and-"

R. Dash: "Let me stop you right there. You may think my friends aren't as great as me but it doesn't mean anything to me. They're my friends and I'm not leaving them. And another thing! No one, I repeat, NO ONE calls my Speed King a rat! His name is Sonic the Hedgyian and I love him! So get lost cause I ain't joining you. Not now, or ever."

After that, the three Shadowbolts turned into purple mist as Rainbow Dash shorten the bridge before flying back to the group as they cheered for her whilst Sonic gives her a thumbs up.

Sonic: "That's what makes you a very cool aerial to ever come out of Cloudsdale. You're loyal to your pride, your beliefs and most importantly, to your friends. That's what makes you awesome!"

That made Rainbow Dash smiled genuinely at Sonic as she felt her heart pumped as she begin to fantasize herself getting married to Sonic and do some inappropriate things with each other.

Shortly after that, the group made it to the old castle and once they enter, Sonic saw something and its heading toward Twilight but Sonic soon picked her up and got of the way of the magic blast, which got the rest of the groups' attention. Sonic landed with Twilight a purple mist appeared before revealing itself to be Nightmare Moon.

N. Moon: "This is as far as you go, weaklings! This is where your story ends!"

The Mane Six were scared but not for Sonic as he gets in front of the girls and gets ready for a fight.

Sonic: "Twilight, you and the girls go and find the elements! I'll handle Nightmare Moon!"

The Mane Six gasped and grew fearful for Sonic's safety.

R. Dash: "Not happening, Blue Boy!"

Applejack: "Sugarcube, you already fought her once and you're still recovering! You can't beat her all alone!"

Fluttershy: "Yes, we can still help."

Pinkie: "Yeah, she's just a big meanie!"

Rarity: "Darling, you've been helping us ever since you arrived in Ponyville. Now it's our turn to help you."

Twilight: "They're right, Sonic. You can't beat her on your own. But together, with the Elements of Harmony, we can beat her."

Sonic: "Twilight... everyone..."

He was cut off when Sonic gets surrounded by Nightmare Moon's leviathan magic and gets shoved against the wall, earning a few shock and fearful looks from the Mane Six.

N. Moon: "You only delay the inevitable! Now you'll be the first to suffer before I conquer all of Equestria." [She cackles as she disappears with Sonic.]

R. Dash: "Sonic! Where she'd taken him!?"

Twilight: "I don't know but we better find him and the elements before Nightmare Moon before she really does hurt him!"

Rarity: "Twilight, my dear, while I don't mean to be rude but I rather not have our precious friend Sonic get killed by that evil monster!"

Applejack: "She knows that, Rarity! But this takes time. Sugarcube knows it. That's why he's protecting us and giving us time. Let's just hope he can hold out a little longer."

Fluttershy: "I agree. Please be ok, Sonic-senpai."

Pinkie: "Please hang in there my Party King. We got a lot of parties to throw after this!"

R. Dash: "You better stay alive, Sonic. You still owe me another race tonight. In the meantime, show that monster what a Speed King can do!"

Twilight was amazed about the amount of faith the five had in Sonic as she starts to understand as well as saw the elements glowing bright light and her eyes sparkled. Then, she and the Mane Six go upstairs to see Sonic holding his own against Nightmare Moon looking a bit hurt but still fighting the pain. Nightmare Moon sees the elements are glowing and looked fearful only to replace it with an evil smirk as the glowing stopped. Their hope was lost as Nightmare Moon laughed and smashed them into pieces.

However, they weren't backing down, all of them stood up and face Nightmare Moon head on as Twilight was surprised before smiling.

Sonic: "You think you can destroy the Elements of Harmony just like that? Well, you're wrong, 'cause the spirits of the Elements are right here!"

Pieces of the Elements of Harmony started to glow and shake before floating upwards, shocking Nightmare Moon.

N. Moon: "What?"

Twilight: "Applejack, who reassured me when I was in doubt, represents the spirit of... Honesty! Fluttershy, who tamed the manticore with her compassion, represents the spirit of... Kindness! Pinkie Pie, who banished fear by giggling in the face of danger, represents the spirit of... Laughter! Rarity, who calmed a sorrowful serpent with a meaningful gift represents the spirit of... Generosity! And Rainbow Dash, who could not abandon her friends for her own heart's desire represents the spirit of... Loyalty! [Each piece of the different elements floated over the girls with a faint glow.] The spirits of these five ponies got us through every challenge you threw at us."

N. Moon: "You still don't have the sixth and seventh Elements! The spark didn't work!"

Twilight: "But it did! A different kind of spark. I felt it the very moment I realized how happy I was to hear you, to see you, how much I cared about you. The spark ignited inside me when I realized that you all... are my friends!"

The Elements floated above and around the Mane Six but that was all as nothing else seemed to be happening, making Nightmare Moon laugh and the Mane Six confused.

N. Moon: "It would seem that the Elements are useless as I thought! Face it. Your little adventure is over!"

Sonic: [Steps in with a smirk.] "Hate to break it to ya, bitch! But this adventure is just beginning!"

Everyone looked to see Sonic on his feet, injured but not giving up as Twilight realized something as she turned to Nightmare Moon.

Twilight: "You see, Nightmare Moon, when those Elements are ignited by the... the spark that resides in the heart of us all, it creates the sixth element: the element of... Magic!"

Sonic: "But when the seventh element comes, then it's the strongest than the other elements: the element of... Heroism!"

And with that, the two orbs broke apart before all shards reformed and attached to our heroes before the five appeared as a necklace on the Mane Five but for Sonic and Twilight went above their heads. As the pair's eyes opened up, their shining pure white eyes appear before a beam of rainbow was fired upward then at Nightmare Moon.

N. Moon: [scared] "Nooo! [Gets hit by a beam of rainbow.] Nooo!"

As Nightmare Moon was engulfed by the rainbow beam, the group floated around for minutes before Sonic and Twilight opened their eyes once more as the screen fades to white.

Once it was done, Sonic and the Mane Six were on the floor with Twilight lying on top of Sonic which she was really surprised but enjoyed it before quickly getting off of him and everyone was getting up.

Applejack: "Everybody ok?"

Rarity: [gasps] "Oh my goodness!"

Everyone looked to see Rarity's necklace.

Fluttershy: "Wow Rarity, it's so lovely."

Rarity: "So do yours."

As everyone looked down at theirs with Pinkie jumping around happily and Rainbow Dash being proud of hers. Twilight was amazed by the crown over her head before turning and seeing the crown on Sonic's head as she also noticed that Sonic has a cape on as well.

Applejack: "Gee, Twilight! I thought you were just spoutin' a lot of hooey but I reckon we really do represent the Elements of Friendship."

Twilight: "I suppose we do. But that is nothing compared to Sonic."

As everyone looked at Sonic, they blushed from what they saw.

Sonic: "Hm, I never thought a cape would be added when I wore the crown. But eh, I can dig it."

Mane Six's Mind: (So can we~!)

Twilight: "I never thought you would bring out the seventh element! That is amazing!"

Rarity: "Why darling, you look like a real Prince Charming." [Thought] (My Prince Charming~!)

Sonic: "Thanks, Rarity. This is really a good look for me, too."

???: "Well done, everyone."

They all turned to see the moon was setting and the sun is coming up as a bright light appeared in the room from the sun before revealing the Sun Princess of Equestria: Princess Celestia.

Twilight: [As the five girls bowed to Celestia, she gasped and walked to her.] "Princess Celestia!" [They both hugged.]

Celestia: "Twilight Sparkle, my faithful student. I knew you could do it."

Twilight: "But... you told me it was all an old phony tale."

Celestia: "I told you that you needed to make friends, nothing more. I saw the signs of Nightmare Moon's return, and I knew it was who had the magic inside to defeat her, but you could not unleash it until you let your true friendship into your heart."

Twilight smiled as she turned to the Mane Six as they smiled back, then she looked at Sonic, who smiled too, making her blushed.

Celestia: "Now if only another will as well. Princess Luna."

Everyone turned and saw an Arias lying on the floor confused but Sonic knew who it is.

Sonic's Mind: (So that's her name? Princess Luna. She's as beautiful as Princess Celestia.)

As Luna opened her eyes and saw her big sister marching up towards her, she gasped as her eyes widened in fearful.

Celestia: "It has been a thousands years since I have seen like this. Time to put out differences behind us. We were meant to rule together, my little sister."

Mane Six: "Sister?!"

Sonic's Mind: (I can already see the resemblance now that I have a better look at her.)

Celestia: "Will you accept my friendship?"

As everyone watches and waiting for an answer as Pinkie leaned forward too much and was about to hit the floor but Sonic quickly caught her just in time, earning a smile from the party girl. Luna then closes her eyes with tears streaming down her face and rushes towards Celestia, hugging her and crying in her arms.

Luna: "I'm so sorry! I've missed you so much, big sister!"

Celestia: "I've missed you too, little sister."

As the two hugged, Luna opened her eyes to see Sonic was there and her eyes widened as she broke the hug which shocked Celestia a little and rushed to Sonic so she can hug him as well much to the Mane Six's shocked especially Celestia as she looked at Sonic and quickly gained a blush on her face.

Luna: "You kept your promise. You saved me. Thank you. You're my hero."

Sonic: "I told you I kept my promise. It was no problem at all."

Celestia: "Sister, who is this young man you're hugging? And why are you saying thank you and a promise he kept?"

Luna: "This is the one who appeared in my dream where I was in chains and he was able to see and talk to me. He gave me hope and he kept his promise to rescue me from Nightmare Moon. [Turns to Sonic] If you don't mind me asking, what is your name again? I want to know a hero who saved me."

Sonic: "It's Sonic, Sonic the Hedgyian. It's nice to meet you at last, Princess Luna. [Turns to Celestia] And you as well, Princess Celestia."

Both Luna and Celestia now had hearts in their eyes which made the Mane Six jealous but put it aside as a light appeared above Pinkie.

Everyone cheered as Sonic clapped at Twilight who smiled and used her magic to pull Sonic into a friendship hug as well and they bring it in.

Celestia's Mind: (For someone who is so young, has learned so many lessons from his single mother, the wisdom he shows towards others is truly spectacular. I can see why Luna has fallen for him and to be honest as have I, he would be a great prince and lover for me~.)

Luna's Mind: (Sonic, you are so kind and caring towards others. You showed mercy and compassionate to anyone. You believe in second chances. That is why you're my hero. Cause you care and keep your promise. I love you. I truly love you, Sonic. And I will give you a greatest reward for saving me, my Prince Charming~.)

And with that, the episode concludes.
