"That was a lovely dinner." Holly said, "Damn you fine." a man said as he and his friends passed by us, "Honey I wanna go back to the hotel." Holly said as she clung to my arm, "What's wrong?" I asked, "I-It's nothing. Please let's just go back to the hotel." she said, "What did they do?" I asked, "Look it's not a big deal. They're just a bunch of kids messing around." she said, "What did they do." I said, "They groped my butt, it's not a big deal honey. Let's just go." she said, "We will once they apologize." I said as I walked over to the men, "Excuse me, but I believe you owe the lady an apology for your wandering hands." I said, "What you her pimp or somethen?" one of the men said, "Ok I let the first idiotic comment slide, now I'm gonna ask you to stop talking about my wife like that and stop undressing her with your eyes. Do I make myself clear?" I said, "Oh look at this we got ourselves a tough guy here. Let's show him why he shouldn't mess with us!" the man said as he drew a knife and stabbed at me, but I caught his knife and slammed the pommel into his forehead before throwing him headfirst into a nearby trashcan, "Now are you all going to repeat his mistake and learn the meaning of Darwinism or are you going to apologize to my wife and walk away." I said, "HE KILLED TOMMY!" one of the men said as he pulled a gun on me, "Darwinism it is." I said as I took the gun and dismantled it, "Look I can do this all night and not break a sweat but I'd much rather go back to my hotel room with my wife. So I'll make you a deal, apologize and walk away or I'll break your fingers and a kneecap or two and make you apologize." I said, "W-We're sorry!" the men said as Holly and I left, "You didn't have to do that. You didn't have to go that far." Holly said, "Yeah I did. You knew that I'd protect you from anything and everything when you married me, I mean it was in my vows." I said, "I know but they were just kids." She said, "Kids who attacked me first. I didn't like having to do that, but I don't regret it either." I said, "Well I'm glad you see my point. And I want to implement a new rule in our marriage." she said, "And what would that be?" I asked, "From now on we don't go to bed angry and we never end the day fighting. I mean just look at where fighting got my birth parents. At each other's throats constantly and eventually they end up with a baby girl they never wanted." she said, "Holly you never told me." I said, "I never told anyone. Look I'll tell you the rest when we over back to the room." she said.

"It's no secret my aunt and I have a...unique relationship. She's my mom and I'm her daughter. But only because my parents were completely insane! Mom couldn't have kids and her kid sister, my birth mother, just had and I quote a "spite baby" that she didn't want. Mom offered to take me, but for whatever reason she refused. A week later both my parents were dead. Things got so bad that they literally tore each other apart. I was two weeks old when that happened. Mom took me in and raised me as her own." Holly said, "I don't want that to be us. We cannot do that to Cinder." She said, "Don't worry, that's not us. Luciel and I have our differences, but I respect her nonetheless, plus if it weren't for her taking you in we wouldn't be where we are today. Hell, I'd probably still be with Ember fighting about one thing or another." I said, "You're probably right." She said as she kissed me.

Lily POV

"NOW!" Luciel said, "Nope." I said as Ruby filled her diaper, "You're about five seconds off. This is easy mode Luciel." I said, "Mom can I have my daughter back now? She needs changed." Summer said as she took Ruby from us. "Whelp time for plan B. You're up pup." I said as I looked at Summer's new puppy, "NO!" Yang said as she grabbed the puppy and ran off, "Yang be careful with Zwei! He's fragile!" Summer said as she changed Ruby, "Mom why are the two of you here? I told you I could watch Cinder until (y/n) and Holly get here." She asked, "I'm training Luciel to develop her own poo-dar." I said, "Wait Luciel why do you wanna be bootylangual?" Summer said, "Honey, leave the puns to Tai, it's one of the few things he has going for him." I said, "Why don't you like Tai? He seems nice." Luciel asked, "Oh I like him just fine. I'm still bitter about him marrying my daughter and not inviting me to the wedding...and for not having a real wedding." I said, "We're home." (y/n) said as he and Holly entered the house, "Mom what are you and Lily doing here?" Holly asked, "Wait let me guess, poo-dar training?" (y/n) said, "You got it. This is why I always said you were the smart one." I said, "Mama." Cinder said as she crawled to Holly, "There's my big girl." Holly said as she picked Cinder up, "Mama missed you so much! And we brought you some presents!" She said before she kissed Cinder's cheek. "I'll go get Cinder's things." I said.
