Kotetsu's POV

I stared in horror at the screen, myself Blue Rose and Origami all stood a bloke away from Hero Tower. As we rushed there we were ordered by Agnes to stay away from the area and wait for instructions. Now we know why, "those bastards." I growled as I saw the camera pan to Bunny, who had blood running down his chin from his mouth and a gagged Emilia, both sat tied to a chair. "What is he planning on doing with them?"

Just then the com went off again, Agnes again. "We've done some background checks on Meyer, turns out he's a convicted criminal known for Human/NEXT experimentations,"
She started to explain. "Seems he slipped the eye of the government and managed to worm his way into Sternbuilds top hospital. He's responsible for numerous deaths over a three year period."

"How does that go unnoticed for so
Many years?" blue rose queried.

"Ouroboros," I whispered looking back to the street screen. "And now he has Bunny and my baby!"

"Don't worry," origami spoke up. "We will save Barnaby at all costs."

I nodded. That's right, we have no choice and all those other people in there, they surely are in as much danger as Bunny. Agnes ordered everyone to stay put until further notice, apparently they were working out a safe way for us to enter the building without harming the innocent people inside in the meantime all we can do is watch.

Meyer smirked as he sat in front of the camera a white board coming into view. It looked like a bunch of random numbers and a family tree? "Now before you is the genetic make up of a person with NEXT ability, a person without and a person who carries the gene," Meyer began pointing to each section. "I've spent many years and many people's lives to find out this structure and at last my research concludes. However..."

"This guys nuts," Blue Rose spoke up. "So all those people over the years he was using to work out genetic make up."

I shuck my head there's more and I think we're about to find out. "However What I then wanted to know was how dominant the carrier gene was," Meyer continued. "I discovered that a person was more likely to be born with a NEXT ability if both parents were carriers, the percentage increasing to around 80 to 90 percent. It greatly decreased to 20 percent if only one person was a carrier. Should neither parent be a carrier then the chance of being born a NEXT was 1 in 1,000,000. As you can see it's taken me quite some time to come up with these findings."

Don't get me wrong many people have tried to work out the science of NEXT powers but this man managed it by taking peoples lives. But what's he want with Bunny? Wait a minute, Bunny has two powers! So maybe, "that's his next experience!" I growled.

"Tiger?" Blue Rose whispered concern in her voice.

"Bunny has two powers," I explained. "So what are the chances of that?"

"That's what he wants to find out," Origami explained.

We looked back up to the screen to see Meyer drawing on the family tree. "Another thing i wanted to look into is the likelihood of multiple children inheriting the gene of the carrier," he moved the white board out the way and present Bunny and Emilia. What? Multiple children? My mind races back to a couple of days ago. That's right I was looking at something but what was it. "Ah," I screamed. "How could I forget?"

"Tiger," Origami questioned. "What did you forgot?"

"Emilia and Bunny, they're brother and sister," I explained yearning a concerned look from both of them. "I'll explain later but right now they are both in danger."

Meyers voice began to ring in our heads again, "so to summarise following years of experiments I was left with many questions. One: what was the percentage of the gene being passed to multiple children, two the likelihood of being born with two abilities and three the expiration date of powers. Mr Tiger I know you are listening." I felt my heart sink, oh no. "You can help with the answers. Simply hand yourself over and I'll release Barnaby and your child back to you."

With a snap of his fingers, two thugs came into view holding Kaede. "No," I screamed.

"For every minute you waste a lowly human will die," he threatened. "Make your choice soon. Or they all die."

"It's a trap Kotetsu!" Blue Rose screamed at me tugging at my arm. "What good will it be if you hand yourself over? You can answer those questions for him, who knows what he'll do to you!"

"But Bunny-"

"No think about this carefully," Blue Rose continued, I could see tears forming in her eyes. "If you care about Barnaby and the Baby so much you wouldn't just give in! Now he has Kaede so you must think! How can we save them all?"

Truth is I don't know. How? How can I save Bunny, my daughter and my unborn child?
