Jealousy

I hate this. Kotetsu is ogling over me ever since I was realised from the hospital. "Would you stop it I'm fine?" I yelled from the sofa as I heard the clanging of plates. CRASH! And there goes a cup. I growled and stood up going to the kitchen, finding Kotetsu picking up the broken pieces of China from the floor. I sighed grabbing his hand and placing it under the tap, running the water so I could wash the blood off. "I have a dust pan and brush you know?"

"I'm just trying to help," I heard him mutter. "I just wanted to be useful to you."

"You are," I smiled kissing his cheek. "Let's get you bandaged and get to work."

Kotetsu nodded with a small pout. My smile grew, he's so adorable when he wants to be. Ever since the last mission, he's been around my place every day to look after me. Maybe I'm not giving him enough credit. I thought all we had was a fling but maybe he truly does love me.

Once we reached the office we were ordered into a meeting. Mr Lloyd sat opposite while next to him was a small mousey girl. "Following the recent incident with Barnaby, Emilia Casewell has been brought in to help with personal matters and assist with medical matters also," he explained.

Emilia leaned forward holding out her hand. "It's a pleasure Barnaby," she smiled, before turning to Kotetsu. "It's a good
to see you again Tiger."  Wait, she knew Kotetsu? My grip on her hand fell as the two began talking.

"You've certainly matured haven't you?" Kotetsu grinned. Hey, that's the grin you're only meant to show me.

"Well, I've had to following my degree in NEXT physiology," she laughed. "Barnaby how about you and I talk privately?"

Emilia and I walked side by side down the corridor to the private meeting rooms. How does this young girl know Kotetsu, not that I'm jealous or anything. She is cute but she's very small. About 5 foot I'd say. She opened the door with her key card and ushered me in. "Take a seat, I'll grab us some water," she sighed going to the water fountain. After a few short minutes she was sat opposite me with some water. She pulled out a note book and pen before giving me an assuring smile. "This is a precaution meeting, nothing scary," she giggled. "I know you've been ill so I want to know where we can help you. The notes I have state that your blood tests were normal so I think maybe your illness is stress related."

"Sure but what can I do to help that?" I asked confused.

"Well a day off for one," she laughed directing me to the page in her book. Ah, my last holiday was nearly 4 months ago. That does explain things. I blushed in embarrassment. "I think you could do with a few days away from the office, we can then see how you feel from there."

"Okay sure, but my hero duties..."

"Aren't as important as your health," this girl is good. "Any questions?"

I took a deep breath wanting to ask how she knew Kotetsu but stopped myself and shook my head. We ended the meeting promptly and I went to meet Kotetsu again. He smirked taking me by my waist and taking me out the building so we could grab lunch. "Isn't Emilia great?" He grinned. I felt my blood boil and gritted my teeth. "She's come a long way, she didn't have an easy childhood."

My ears perked up. "What you mean?"

"Well, you see I met her when I saved her from a house fire caused by her step father," my heart sank. "She was so young and we were due to have Kaeda I couldn't help but grow attached. Poor thing lost her older brother a few years before too." I hung my head in shame. Of course that makes sense why Kotetsu looked out for her. Being a new father and saving a young girl. "Why are you so quiet?" I blushed turning my head away. "Were you jealous?" I heard him laugh at me, making me blush deeper. We stopped in the pathway and the old man forced me to look at him. "Silly bunny," he smiled. "You're my bunny and I'm your old man."

I couldn't help but grin myself. I'm Kotetsu's? I like the sound of that.
