Barnaby's POV

I sighed watching as Karina threw her towel at the tv. They were interviewing Miss Chic and talking about how she managed to steal another 500 points in yesterday's show. "Who does she think she is?" She growled making me laugh. I think someone might be a bit jealous. "She's stealing the limelight."

"Oh honey lighten up," Nathan laughed.

"Yeah she's just doing her job," Pao Lin defended. "Besides I think she's pretty cool."

Karina growled walking away from the conversation. "What you think handsome?" Nathan asked taking a seat next to me on the bench.

I took a moment before sighing. "She's okay," I shrugged. It was the truth. She was okay, as we didn't know her personally I couldn't say whether I liked her or not. Oh, I felt the usual buzzing on my pocket, sliding the bar I smiled as I answered. "Evening Emilia."

"So have your had your results back?" I knew what she meant. After my time from work I was still not 100% so we've moved onto blood tests.

"I'm going this afternoon," I replied. "Kotetsu has offered to go with me."

"That's okay then," I heard her sigh in relief. "Once you have the results please contact me so we can met up."

"Will do." I hung up, not bothering with a real goodbye. Emilia has been sweet to me since she started working with us, I'm not sure if it's her nature or just her job. Although something is bothering me about her. Why does she look so familiar? Lately I've been having a dream, a person, whose face I can't see laughing with me and Samantha on a winter night. Who is she? Is this something Maverick planted into my mind? "Bunny?" I looked up, being snapped out of my thoughts with a hand waving at me. Ah there he is. "Come on we've got to go."

I grabbed Kotetsu's hand with a small smile. "Yeah we best huh?"

"See you later handsome," I heard Nathan giggle as me and Kotetsu leave the room.

"I'm sorry to drop this on you but we'll..." Kotetsu stopped mid sentence as we entered the car. "I can't come in with you."

"What?" I yelled. The only thing I've asked of him and he can't do it!

"I promise I'll make it up," he pleaded. "I forgot that I have something to do today. It won't take me long, I'll pick you up! I promise."

I growled under my breath, deciding to remain quiet while he drive. Ignorant old man! Sighing as we pulled up outside the hospital, Kotetsu grabbed my hand as I went to unbuckle the seat belt. "I promise I'll make it up," he said one last time as I walked into the building. I reported to the reception and went to the private room booked out for my appointment. The doctor I'm seeing is a NEXT specialist who believes I could just be expiring some issues with my power, it's not uncommon but rare at my age. "Morning Barnaby," The doctor smiled as he walked in.

"Morning Doctor Turner," I said taking his hand.

"So, we have the results of your tests and I need to ask a few personal questions," dr.Turner explained. I nodded with a slight blush. "Are you in a relationship?" I nodded. "Is this relationship with a man?" I nodded again. These are getting personal. "Okay my brooks, this is a slightly strange question but have you ever used your power during intercourse?" I gulped where was this conversation going exactly? I felt myself struggling to breathe and grabbed my chest. My vision started to blur as I felt myself fall from the chair. Where? Where's Kotetsu when I need him most?

Whose there? I asked. The images in front of me, looked almost like a movie, there was a young girl in front of me, her hair in twin tales, "Come on brig brother," she cried holding her hand out to me. Big brother? Me? "Come Bunny. Bunny?"

I slowly started to open my eyes as I heard voices above me. "No-Kotetsu," I moaned. I flinched grabbing hold of my head. "What's going on?"

Kotetsu helped me sit up, looking down I noticed I was in a hospital gown. "Barnaby, in regards to what I'm about to tell you next, I ask that you remain calm."

I looked over to see the panic in Kotetsu's face. Just what's wrong with me? What's going to happen to me? To me and Kotetsu? Our relationship?
