Chapter Fourteen
Chapter fifteen:
TW: Hospital, throw up-ish
Scar pov:
I wake up to Stress and beeping.
Am I in her makeshift hospital?
I think so. She says something, but my brain is so foggy I can't understand what it is she's saying.
I think she notices since she hands me a potion. I drink it willingly, although it is hard.
A couple seconds after swallowing the pink potion I can think clearly and make out what is happening.
"What happened?" I ask her, only remembering Grian leaving then my weird dream.
"Grian said he found you unconscious on the floor and you had thrown up." She says then quiets her voice. ''I found some scratches on your arms, what happened?"
I panic. She can't know.
"I- er, I was farming wheat, you know how it is." I lie, but it's bad. She looks at me for a second.
"Is there anything else?" She asks and I shake my head. She continues to look at me as she grabs her communicator.
"I'm texting Xisuma, he'll check up on you every so often, okay?" She says.
What would they think if I need someone to check up on me? They would surely hate me.
"Okay." I mumble, going against my prior thoughts. I'll deal with it later.
She seems pleased by that and says she'll bring Grian in.
"Scar!" He says, running over with a big smile.
He wraps me in an unexpected hug. I think he also might've knocked over the empty potion bottle.
"Hi Grian." I say and wrap my good arm around him, my right one.
"Are you okay?" He looks up at me. I must sound and look pretty tired.
I smile at him and nod, feeling energised by his smile.
He buries his face into my chest and I hear him breath me in. I can't imagine how tired he must be from waiting for hours 'till I woke up.
Stress walks in a few moments later, looks at us then leaves again.
Eventually she walks back in again and tells me I'm all good to go home and that X will come and check up to see how I'm doing three times every day.
"Grian." I whisper, gently shaking him.
The short man nearly rolls off the bed, but I catch him with my left hand.
Wincing, I shake him harder to fully awaken him.
He squints and looks at me.
"I wanna go home." He grumbles and I smile.
"Well, it's a long walk there, so we better get going." I say, laughing.
"Walk?" He asks, moving his hand to cover the sun shining in through the window.
"Well, you're too tired to fly the both of us, and I don't have an elytra, so I'd assumed we'd have to walk, yeah." I say and it takes him a minute to process.
"I can fly." He grumbles and stands up, his hair all rumpled and cute.
"You sure, you seem pretty tired. I'm fine walking." I say, but he grabs my hand and drags me out of Stress's 'hospital.'
"Fanks for coming!" Stress says with a smile.
Grian flies us back to his house with several bumps. He dropped me into the ocean, onto some vines, nearly dropped me on top of Iskalls base, etcetera.
But we made it back alive and in one piece.
Grian lands, placing me gently on the ground before collapsing on it himself.
I help him up and we walk into his house, which is oddly dusty for a couple hours.
"Why's it so dusty in here?" I ask, waving my hand in front of myself to stop from sneezing.
"I haven't been back since I found you." He explains, walking to the kitchen.
"But that was only a couple hours ago, right?" I ask him and he looks at me.
"Scar, that was nearly a week ago." He mumbles and I stare at him.
"Wow." I say, not too concerned for the time I've missed, but for making Grian stay with me.
"I'm sorry."
"You stayed with me for a week?" I ask him, trying not to think about what this could mean.
"Well, yeah. You're my friend." He says, his face pink.
"Oh." I say, disappointed. Why am I disappointed, we're friends, he said that. So then why did my stomach turn into a black hole?
Do I- no, I can't. Could I?
I smile at him and walk over to his kitchen, which consists of furnaces, a crafting table and several barrels.
I make us both a meal, since Grian probably hasn't had anything nutritious recently and the last thing I had recently was that potion.
I manage to eat half of it before someone knocks at the door.
"I'll get it." Grian says, getting up.
"Okay." I say, feeling nervous.
"Hello X!" I hear Grian say.
"Hi, I was told to check up on Scar, but he wasn't at his house. Is he here?" X says and the next thing I see is X, with his helmet and red eyes.
Oh god.
>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<
Hi! Sorry for the long chapter and yes I know he canonically has purple eyes, but there's a reason they're red. And Scar can see it, don't ask. Actually, please ask. Just kidding, go ahead and ask!
