I stood in the crowd as the headmaster walked up on stage

"Hello students, I'm Ozpin. . . The headmaster at this school, il make this quick. . . Be fast, don't hesitate to take down anything in your path, Glynda will inform you on the rest"
"You will stay in the ballroom until initiation is complete and you have your dorms. . . Dismissed"

And with that everyone started towards the ballroom, mostly likely to get set up for the night and what not

"Y/N" a voice called out
"Huh" I turned to see Velvet walking towards me
"Y/N" she called out again
"Velvet, hey"
"So what are you doing?"
"Oh I'm just going to the ballroom, to set up for the night and everything"
"Cool, c-can I ask about something"
"Sure, what's up"
"Do you like Faunuses or are you just being nice"
"Well, I never held a grudge or anything on Faunuses so I guess the first one"
"Oh, why"
"To be honest, it's pretty cool to be half animal"
"Ah, I'm going to get set up, see you later Y/N"
"Okay, bye Velvet"

She smiled and walked off, I finished putting my sleeping bag and sat down on it

'I wonder what's going to happen this year' i thought as I sat on my sleeping bag, I saw several kids walk by one caught my attention, it was a fairly tall guy, he had white and black hair with a white shirt which had rolled-up sleeves. He also had black cargo shorts and white shoes. He had one black and one white glove, and had a axe on his back. He noticed me and walked over

"Hello" he said
"Hey"

He sat down next to me

"I'm Ryan"
"Y/N"

We shook hands and he smiled

"So how's beacon so far?"
"It's good for me, how about you?"
"It's good, my friend couldn't make it through"
"Why?"
"He's still at signal, he's only 14"
"Oh"
"Yeah, so have any family?"
"Yeah, my Mom... And deadbeat"
"Who's deadbeat?"
"My dad"
"Oh man, sorry I didn't know"
"It's fine"
"Well, it's getting pretty late, I should get to bed. Nice meeting you Y/N"
"You too Ryan"

He waved and walked off

'Should probably get some sleep too'

I yawned and changed into my sleepwear and laid down in my sleeping bag. It took a few minutes but I finally managed to fall asleep

I slowly opened my eyes, yawning and stretching I stood up and made my way to the bathroom to change and do my morning routine. It took some time but I was finally finished. Leaving the bathroom I saw Velvet waking up, I smiled and sat down on my bag again waiting till it was time for initiation. I waited for a hour or so but then it finally came

"Now students" Ozpin started as he looked at us
"Don't hesitate to take down anything in your path, we will not intervene. . . Find the relics and return here, any questions?"

No one asked anything, then the kids started to get launched one by one, I got launched and used Flamer to push myself forward, landing next to a tree I grabbed it and slid down to the ground

"Teammate, Relic, Cliff. . . Sounds easy enough" I said as I started towards the relic sight.

While i was walking I heard a scream, I rushed towards the sound, once I was there I saw Ryan on the ground and a Ursa standing up about to hit him, I jumped in. Shooting it with the fire that came out of Flamer, it Roared and backed up before charging me and trying to slash me, I dodged and took out W/N hitting it in the back. It roared again and turned towards me, running towards it I jumped on top of it and started to shoot fire all around its head and body. It finally roared and almost fell to the ground, seeing my chance I stabbed my sword in its neck and jumped down cutting the left side of his neck, with the sword still in the Grimm I ran towards the other-side and jumped over it decapitating it in the process

"Need any help" I asked
"Haha"

I held out my hand and he took it, I pulled him up and he dusted himself off

"So now we're partners"
"Yup, let's go get those relics"

We then started in the direction of the relics

So. Shorter then normal but I wanted to do something special... Wait for it
