Y/N'S (POV)

I woke because of the warmth I looked around and noticed I wasn't in the slammer.. and it was still dark outside.. panic began to fill my chest I pulled the blanket up to my head as if to hide then I smelled a familiar scent coming from the blanket.

"Tommy." It was Tommy's scent I was smelling then I noticed I was in his hammock.. I looked around the glade for him but it was too dark to see anyone.. the glade was eeriely quite.

Of course why wouldn't it be everyone was sleeping. Then feeling alone I got up suddenly and I threw the blanket off the hammock deciding to go look for Tommy.

Until I heard them the monsters.. my blood went cold my body felt like it didn't want to move.. but I knew I couldn't stay in the hammock.

So I ran toward the treehouse my safe place.. knowing that the boys would find me..

                Thomas's (POV)

The glade was calm one minute and the next minute Newt and Minho come running in saying "we need to get everyone into the council hall."

I look at them and I didn't need to hear the explanation I grab Mitch by the arm and tell him "you need to go to the council hall."

He looks at me stunned "what about you and (Y/N)?"

I tell Mitch that I'm going to get (Y/N) from my hammock. Not telling Mitch that I'm hoping she's still there fast asleep.

He nods and takes off toward the council hall with Newt and Minho following close behind.

I head back toward my hammock and my heart drops (Y/N) isn't in the hammock. "SHUCK" I whisper.. searching the glade for any sign of her.. but it's to dark to see anything..

I dash off towards the council hall the boys see when I enter  (Y/N) isn't with me. They then ask me "Where is she?"
I look at Newt, then Minho and Mitch and respond "I don't know."

We look outside the windows of the council hall and see there are fires set almost everywhere in the glade probably to get rid of the grievers.

I try look a little further out and that's when I see it. The treehouse (Y/N'S) safe place is on FIRE...

                   Y/N'S (POV)

I dashed up the treehouse dropping Sammy again just like I did the first day I arrived here.

Hoping I can be safe up here from the monsters.. but I was wrong.. there's a monster that's closer then the grievers.

I peek over the edge when I smell the familiar scent of smoke like when the glade has the welcome bonfire..

And that's when I see him.. Gally setting the treehouse on fire.. I'm terrified

I yell at him even as the smoke is becoming overwhelming "Gally what are you doing!"

He looks up eyes filled with rage "Sorry little Greenie but you have to go.. maybe if you're gone the glade will finally go back to normal." "Sure I'll have to get rid of Thomas as well but with you out of the way. That will be easy." His laugh is evil.

(Y/N) was terrified she wanted to scream for help but she was being overcome by the smoke from the fire.. she almost passed out when she heard fighting at the edge of the treehouse. She couldn't make out who it was.. then she heard footsteps climbing up the ladder fearing it was Gally (Y/N) kicked and thrashed until she heard a voice his voice "(Y/N) it's ok. Snowflake it's ok. I've got you.. You're safe now."

The nickname his voice.. Tommy saved her from the fire.

Just as Thomas was making his way down the ladder he felt it start to break.. then suddenly Thomas felt himself and (Y/N) falling he turned his body so he would take the impact of the hit and
(Y/N) wouldn't be injured..

Just like when they were little and she fell through the ice. Tommy saved her..

Despite being a little dizzy from taking in smoke (Y/N) felt the impact of the hit. She opened her eyes and saw Thomas was hurt..

She yelled "Newt help! Tommy's hurt!"

Newt rushed over with Clint and Jeff on his heels.

Gally was being held down by Mitch and Minho while all of this was happening.

As soon as they got to the medjack hut (Y/N) was put in a bed.. as she fought the medjacks and yelled at them and Newt as she asked about TOMMY..
"IS HE OKAY? I WANT TO SEE HIM.. NEWT I WANT TO SEE TOMMY!"

Newt was by (Y/N'S) side "Hey little greenie. Tommy's going to be ok. Let Clint and Jeff check on how you are and they will take care of Thomas too." 

(Y/N) let the medjacks check her injures she got one of Newt's gummies for the dizziness.. she also got her hand wrapped because she had slight burn marks from the fire..

Thomas had a fractured the same leg from the maze incident but other than that the only other thing Thomas had wrong with him was a little smoke inhalation but nothing serious..

Because of Thomas injuring his second injury to the same leg  that got hurt in the maze Minho decided to take  him off running the maze for a few days..

Thomas wanted to argue but he knew getting healed was the best thing..

It was then after everything had calmed down Newt decided that Thomas should be (Y/N'S) bodyguard. Both were happy with the idea this way Thomas could still protect her.. and (Y/N) could be with Tommy but she realized "what about Tommy being a runner?" (Y/N) asked she barely had a voice but him being a runner was her concern not her safety.

Minho was the one who spoke "Don't you worry Little greenbean Mitch and I have that covered plus with the special bracelets you made for us we will be sure to get back before the doors close."

(Y/N) smiled at the mention of the bracelets she made for them.

Knowing they would be safe running the maze (Y/N) stayed with Tommy.

She waited until Minho and Mitch were out of sight then she broke down crying her little figure shaking.

Thomas's (POV)

I was by her side instantly. "(Y/N) what's wrong?" I asked her.

She looked at me and said "Tommy Gally said he was going to get rid of you after he got rid of me. I was so scared."

I held her tight as the sun came up over the glade I told her "Don't worry (Y/N). Gally won't hurt you ever again. I promise."

(Y/N) looked at me in a questioning tone and said "Tommy?

"Yeah." I responded.

(Y/N) looked at me again with her brown eyes that matched mine so perfectly.. and said "Tommy I luv u."

I was taken aback by the words she had just told me.. then I looked at (Y/N) and said "I love you too. And I will always protect you."

She laughed "Not if I protect you first.. I'm brave.."

This time I laughed "Ok how about we protect each other Snowflake? Deal?"
I asked holding out my hand..

"Deal Tommy." (Y/N) responded

She ran into my arms. Being careful of my reinjured leg  I carefully carried
(Y/N) back to my hammock were we both feel asleep..
