Y/N'S (POV)

As I wake up to another day on the Safe Haven I think back to what Jaden said to me the previous night "(Y/N) I love you."

Thinking about it makes my heart flutter yet again.. he said he loves me..

I get up and notice Tommy isn't in the hut.. thinking he's again probably with Newt or Minho or one of the other gladers I'm not worried..

I quickly get up and get dressed in a Purple shirt, blue jeans, and tennis shoes and I also put on my Hydro Warrior Bandana.

Then as I exit the hut I hear a noise coming from the woods.. curious it sounds just like the same time I found Asher back in the maze..

I walk into the woods without letting anyone know.. "What could possible go wrong?" I think to myself..

As I'm walking through the woods getting further from the Safe Haven then Tommy would ever want me to go.. I see it..

A white German shepherd with blue eyes..

I carefully approach the dog..

"Hey. It's ok. I'm not going to hurt you. You look so pretty. Like Snow." I say to the dog..

I watch as the dog wags it's tail when I mention Snow.. then I say "Oh you like that name?" The dog responds with a bark..

As I'm looking at Snow and seeing she has NO injuries.. I don't realize that the woods I'm in have somehow caught FIRE!!

I decide after what feels like a long while of playing with Snow in the woods to finally say "Come on Snow let's go back to the Safe Haven. You can meet everyone." As I'm making my way back to the Safe Haven with Snow by my side I'm suddenly paralyzed with Fear as I see the wall of FIRE in front of me trapping me from getting back to my family, to my friends, and to Jaden.. I'm trapped with NO way out!!

I watch as Snow barks at the flames as they start to come closer.. I crouch down terrified that this is the end..

                  Jaden's (POV)

It's been a few hours since (Y/N) left to go explore the woods yet again..

I leave my hut and as soon as I look toward the woods I see smoke.. my heart races as I take off running through the woods knowing (Y/N) is trapped somewhere in these woods and worse yet they are on FIRE..

I promised Thomas I would protect her.. and I feel like I've broken that promise with her being in danger yet again..

                Thomas's (POV)

I feel my chest starting to tighten my lungs burn.. I fall to my knees as I'm trying to catch my breath.. this is our special connection.. "(Y/N'S) in danger!" I barely say..

My friends look at me then Minho comes in and my fears are confirmed his words make my heart stop then start with panic.. "Thomas the woods are on FIRE!"

All I can think of is "(Y/N) she's in the woods trapped, scared, and I can't save her because I'm still healing from my injury. It's then that I realize I'm possibly gonna lose my LITTLE HYDRO LIGHT."

                       Y/N'S(POV)

As I try to fight to make my way back to the Safe Haven I feel myself getting weaker and weaker my lungs tighten it feels like it's getting harder to breath..

I look at the dog and tell her "Snow go save yourself." But she doesn't listen I feel her lay down next to me..

Then I hear footsteps approach unsure who they are I don't fight but I listen..

I then feel myself being lifted up..

I recognize the hands because of their gentle touch.. it's Jaden that's rescuing me from the FIRE but why is he rescuing me?

I don't realize it but I pass out in his arms on the way back to the Safe Haven..

                   Jaden's (POV)

On the way back to the Safe Haven I realize (Y/N) has passed out in my arms.. I look down and see a dog following me close behind..

When I reach the Safe Haven both Hope and Thomas rush to me..

Thomas almost yelling the question "What happened?!"

I look at him and say "There was a FIRE in the woods. (Y/N) somehow got caught in it."

Terrified Thomas rushes into the medjack hut and looks at (Y/N) on the cot..she has smoke inhalation.. Hope won't tell Thomas any other injuries because she still has to do an exam..

Later Hope tells both Jaden and Thomas that (Y/N) is weak, needs her rest, and she is suffering from smoke inhalation (Y/N).

Hope also tells Jaden that he can stay with (Y/N) because Thomas still has to rest since he's recovering still from his injury..

Jaden thanks her and walks into see
(Y/N) covered with a blanket and an IV in her arm.. He looked to see
(Y/N'S) bandana laying on the ground next to her.. Jaden gently picked it up noticing it wasn't damaged at all..

He gently placed it on (Y/N'S) head and then Jaden falls to his knees and says to (Y/N) "I'm sorry you got hurt again.. It's all my fault. You got hurt in the FIRE! I should've never let go alone. I'm so sorry."

As (Y/N) lays there she listens to Jaden blaming himself for her getting hurt..

                   Y/N'S (POV)

I wake up in the medjack hut yet again.. remembering the FIRE and getting trapped in the woods.. I suddenly feel a tightness of panic in my chest.. my heart races and I feel like I can't breathe.. I look around when I feel a gentle hand on my own I look and see Jaden..

He looks at me and helps me to calm down..

"Jaden why are you blaming yourself for me being trapped in the woods with a raging FIRE?" I ask him..

I look at Jaden and say "Your just like Thomas you're both always blaming yourselves when I get hurt. But face it Jaden I'm just like Tommy I'm curious so I'm going to get into danger but I know my family and you will be there for me each step."

Jaden nods.. then in his usual way he sings a song..

Jaden then looks at me and responds "(Y/N) I'm in this relationship with you NO matter if you are broken or whole.. and if you're in pain I'll take the pain away from you anyway I can. I'M NOT LEAVING YOU!

We are in this Hydrocephalus JOURNEY together!" He tells me a serious look on his face.. I've only seen a look like that from one other person Tommy.. I laugh and think mostly to myself "Oh Yeah Jaden and Tommy are so much alike."

I look at Jaden and smile as he leans forward and kisses me "I Love You." I tell him..

Knowing I have someone else on this crazy HYDRO journey by my side makes me smile!
