Epilogue

"... An abandoned child and two my 'parents are terrible'. Well, long live to the 'family problems' trio!" Suki exclaimed making an exaggerated upward movement with her arms.

Gus exclaimed pretending to be offended, "And what about us? I thought we were a team!"

Suki smirked maliciously, "Shush! You don't count!"

I couldn't stop myself from laughing like an idiot.

Sometimes I couldn't understand how Suki was capable of joking with those type of topics- that were supposed to be delicate.

Although, it was probably only a part of her charm.

I smiled.

I ran away from home little after I fixed everything, I had started to stay with Luz and Suki at the owl house.

It's incredible how everything has changed in less than two months...

Now I had friends, real friends. They are the closest thing I've had to a real family.

We all laughed at something Luz said.

At her side, Amity was looking at her smiling and with eyes filled with love.

Even before joining the team, I suspected about the feelings the Blight had for Luz; but when I joined, then it was obvious.

One of two, Luz deserved a price for the blindest person for not noticing that not one, but two girls in her friend group liked her, or the best actress for pretending not to notice.

Part of me felt insecure because of that, why would Luz choose me when she could choose Amity "Little Miss Perfect" Blight?

But it didn't matter if Luz stayed with Amity or me, I just wanted to see her happy.

Because she was my light...
