I began walking along the road to Professor Birch's lab. Along the way a see a girl with long blonde hair, icy blue eyes, a dark purple scarf and shirt, a pink skirt, hat, and boots, black knee socks, and a light brown tote bag. She seemed like the type of trainer would would have all the cute Pokémon, but never use them for battles, just dress up. But she also seemed like a popular person by showing off either Pokémon or just clothing. I continued pondering the thought, but then I realized I was daydreaming then I accidentally bumped into her.

"Hey! What were your going! Can't you see I'm trying to get the Professor Birch's lab to get a cute Pokémon?!" The girl rudely shouted in my face. I examined the girl closely until I saw someone who I thought I'd never see anymore...Sabrina. "Hey wait a second...Luna? Is that you?"

I nodded. "Yes and you're Sabrina right?"

"Yes."

At that moment we both smiled and hugged each other like two best friends who haven't seen each other for a long time, which was true in this case. Sabrina and I met at a young age due to our parents knowing each other very well. We always used to play with are Pokédolls and other toys when we hung out. But one day her mother got a new job, which required her whole family having to move to the Johto region. And we haven't seen each other since until now.

"Wow I didn't recognize you at first, sorry for yelling." Sabrina apologized.

"No no it's alright. I wasn't paying attention. Anyways, what are you doing here? I thought you moved to the Johto region?"

"I did, until my family moved back here. Sadly, we couldn't come to Littleroot Town, so I currently live in Rustboro City. It isn't very far, so I guess we can visit each other. Well, whenever I'm not on my journey to become the next champion."

What? But that's my dream? Wait did she forget that I was going to be on a journey too? I mean it had been like 6 years when I last told her that, but I think she knows I'm the champion's daughter. Well I'll just have to play stupid with her for now.

"Really? You're becoming a Pokémon champion too?" I said surprising, even though it was sarcasm.

"What your going on a journey too? That's fantastic!" Sabrina cheered. "I'm guessing your gonna go to Birch's lab to get a starter, right?" I nodded in return. "Which one are you getting? I haven't decided yet."

"I haven't decided either." I replied back.

"Oh, well why don't we get going! Race ya there!" At that moment Sabrina began running at a fast speed towards Professor Birch's Lab. After a few seconds I caught up to her speed and we both ran in sync to Littleroot Town's Pokémon Laboratory to get our first ever Pokémon.

"We made it." I said as I gasped for air.

"Yes we did it," added Sabrina. Sabrina pushed open the door and we both walked inside nervously.

"Good morning girls!" a voice called from a distance. I looked straight down and I saw Professor Birch waving to us. Sabrina and I exchanged looks, then we waved back. I began walking to Professor Birch, followed by Sabrina, who seemed a bit nervous.

"Good morning Professor Birch," I greeted as I approached him. As much as I didn't like starting a conversation first, I had too since Sabrina doesn't seem to have the guts to do it at the moment.

"I'm sure that you two are excited to become Pokémon trainers. Follow me, I'll show you the starters." Professor Birch then led us to another room  filled with different types of Pokémon. Suddenly, three cute Pokémon came running towards Birch. "Now which one would you girls like?"

"You pick first." Sabrina said. I stepped forward and looked at the three Pokémon. In front of me stood, the water type, Mudkip, the fire type, Torchic, and the grass type, Treeko. Ugh they're all so cute! But I need a Pokémon that will always be by my side and help me throughout my journey. Well I always had a liking for grass type Pokémon so I'll pick Treeko.

I crouched down to each Pokémon's height and looked over to Treeko. "I choose you."
