Beep! Beep! Beep!

I forcefully grasped my alarm clock and threw it across the room and it hit the ground, causing it to smash into a million pieces.

"That's the last time I here from you, you stupid alarm clock!" I enthusiastically said, then jumped out of bed to get ready.

Hi! My name is Luna, and today I finally turned ten. What? You think it isn't a big deal for me to turn ten? You think it's another ordinary day? Well, not for me. Commonly throughout the Pokémon world starting at the age of ten you can receive a Pokémon from a Professor. Each region has three main Pokémon, and since I live in the Hoenn Region, I can choose for any of these three Pokémon: Torchic, Mudkip, and Treeko. Sadly, I haven't decided, though it will be very difficult due to the fact that all three of them are so cute!

"Luna, what was that noise?" The mother walked into my room and saw my brand new alarm clock in tiny pieces on the floor. I gave her a big grin so she wouldn't be mad. "Was it that necessary to break another one of these?"

"Of course it was. I'm not gonna be needing it anymore so what else could I have done with it?" My mother gave me a serious look, but then smiled.

"Well make sure you pick up the mess before you leave. Oh and have you decided on what Pokémon you want to receive from Professor Birch yet?" My mother asked.

I shook my head. "No."

"Okay, but make up your mind fast before all the Pokémon are gone."

"I doubt there all gonna be gone." My mother rolled her eyes, then walked out. But before she closed the door, I called her name to ask her something very important that I know only she can answer. "Wait mom, I have a question." My mother looked over and walked back to where she was standing before. "I've been meaning to ask you this for awhile," I let out a big sigh before I spoke. "When do you think dad will come back?"

My mother looked down. "I don't know sweetie, he's the champion of the Hoenn Region. I'm very skeptical about him ever leaving the Pokémon League." She answered sadly. I felt something small and wet on the edge of my eye. Wait! Was I crying! No I can't be crying! As much as I miss him, I don't think I should be crying over such a small thing! "Anyways, I made breakfast for you so hurry up and get dressed so you can start your adventure, and I'm going to call your father and tell him to wish you good luck." I smiled at her last response, then she walked out of my room.

After I got ready, I went downstairs and sat at the table in the kitchen. I saw a bowl of cereal, milk, and a berry in front of me, then I began to eat. Halfway through my meal my mother stepped into the kitchen with the house phone in her hand. She handed me the phone and she said it was my 'father' so I quickly grabbed it and said hello.

"Hey sweetie! I wanted to wish you good luck for your Pokémon journey. I hope one day you can collect all of your badges and come challenge the Elite 4 and soon me. I'd like to see how your training is going throughout your journey so call me at anytime."

"Thanks dad and I will come to you for advice."

"Good. Anyways, I've got to go. I love you."

"I love you too, dad." I said then hung up. I continued eating my breakfast, then looked at the clock. It was now 8:23 am, I should be going soon.

Once I finished, I placed my bowl and glass in the sink, then I grabbed my light brown messager bag and my scarf. I then slid on my black boots, and said a final goodbye to my mother. She waved in return and said 'be safe' as I walked out the door. Soon I'll get my starter Pokémon and I'll start my journey!
