Chapter 7
I'm finally back with another chapter. Exams went pretty good and thankfully is over for now. Not wasting much time, thank you so much kiaravinidatta
HAPPY READING...
TRIS POV
I sit up in bed on Friday morning, glancing at the clock on the bedside table, 10:45! I have never woke up this late in the past few years. I guess the extra work and late-night shifts have taken a toll on my body. I grab my inhalers from my bedside table and take a whiff. Rubbing the sleep out of my eyes, I threw the covers off my body and step into the washroom.
I take a quick shower, Letting the warm water soothe me. Today is the day of the bonfire. Christina will come over at 6 to help me get ready. Stepping out of the shower, I dry my hair, pulling it into a bun. Wrapping a towel around myself, I step out of the washroom. Rummaging through my clothes, I grab a red top and faded black pants.
I brush my hair and pull it back into a ponytail. Grabbing my inhalers and stuffing them into my pen pocket, I head towards the kitchen. Walking in, icy Tory placing muffins on two plates. I sneak up behind her and wrap my arms tightly around her.
"Morning Tori," I say. She turns around.
"Morning Tris," she says smiling at me.
"The bonfire is today right?" she asks, placing the plates on the table.
"Yes. Christina will be here at 6 to get ready," I say, sitting down, grabbing a plate.
"Good. Go have some fun. You deserve a break after your hectic schedule," she says joining me at the table. I smiled, happy to have such an incredible person like Tori in my life. The morning goes by in casual talk.
After we finish breakfast, I take the place to the sink and start to do the dishes. As I finish up in the kitchen, Tori comes up to me.
"Tris, I am going out to do some shopping. Do you need anything?" she asks.
"Nope, I'm good. Thanks," I say, smiling at her.
"I'll just finish up here and maybe go for a walk," I say.
"Okay. Take care. Love you," she says, giving me a hug before grabbing her purse and heading out.
"Love you too," I say. I dry the dishes and head back to my room. I decide to practice some dance choreographies for my class with Chris this Saturday, instead of going for a walk. After a long and tiring two hours, I have learned a new dance and a few new steps.
Glancing at the clock, I realize that it's already 5. Knowing that Christina will go insane if she sees me sweating like this before her make up session, I head into the washroom and take a quick shower. I get out, wrap the towel around me, and head to the closet. Taking out the golden dress I brought, I lay it out on the bed. I decided to let my hair loose and take out the curler. As I plug it in, the doorbell rings. Realizing that I am still dressed in nothing but a towel, I pray that it's Chris and not someone else.
Looking out through the peephole, I sigh as I see Chris bouncing on her feet. I laugh as I open the door and let her in. She looks gorgeous, wearing a white top with a jacket and a black miniskirt, that hugs her body in all the right places.
"You haven't even dressed yet!" she yells grabbing my arm and dragging me
towards my room. I rolled my eyes, trailing behind her. Sitting me in front of the mirror, Chris starts poking and tapping at my face. I said still, well aware not to disturb her when she is in a hurry. She grabs the curler and curls the tips of my hair. After 15-20 minutes, she steps back, a proud smile illuminating her face.
The person I see in the mirror is not the girl that woke up in this room today morning. My hair is pinned up one side in a french braid with the other end hanging loosely. My eyes have a smokey texture and my lips are glossy with a light pink color, almost similar to my actual lip color. The dress also compliments my look perfectly. I smile, staring at myself in the mirror.
"I look pretty good," I say, turning to Chris.
"Nope, you look gorgeous babes," she squeals.
"All thanks to you," I laugh.
"Wrong. You are already beautiful. I just made you even more noticeable," she says winking at me. I chuckle as I grab my purse, taking one last glance at myself.
"I'm sure all the boys will be drooling over you tonight. They won't be able to take their eyes off you. Who knows, maybe you will even meet the man of your dreams," she says, wiggling her eyebrows.
"Okay there. Let's go now, you don't want to be late," I roll my eyes, grabbing her hand and heading towards her car. Getting into the driver's seat, I put on my seatbelt. Christina plays a random song and puts it to full volume. Driving away, I laugh as she attempts to sing along. Soon we are both singing along, laughing at each other's mistakes, and trying to decipher the meaning of the lyrics. I keep on driving, watching the sun start to slowly set...

And there it is. Another chapter is up. It's been a week but I tried my best to update. Exams are thankfully over 'for now', so I'll try to update more often. I have made this chapter a bit long to make up for my absence. Hope you all like it. Do let me know what you think and also suggest ideas that you want me to add. I will seriously do consider your ideas as well (unless it is completely out of my storyline 🙃). Next chapter will be 1K words, I promise.
BE BRAVE ♥️♥️
