Chapter 5

I'm back with another chapter. I know I'm very late but I've been really busy. I'll make up for all the delay. Anyway, moving on, thank you for all the support. On with the story,
HAPPY READING...

TRIS POV

The week goes by in a blur. After the incident with that stranger, Eric chewed me out and made me work extra shifts. I couldn't afford to lose this job, so I had to suck it up. I came early in the mornings and left late in the evening. By the time I reach back home, I will be drained out. Tori has been even more helpful during the past week, dinner and breakfast is always prepared and ready before I leave for work and she doesn't let me help her out. I am thankful for her help but at the same time, I can't help feeling guilty. She has done so much for me and I know that she'll never allow me to pay her back, although I don't know if I'll ever be able to repay her.

On Wednesday night, Christina called me over to her house to have a girl's night. I really needed a break from work, so I agreed. After spending a whole night relaxing with Chris, Mar and Lynn, I felt a lot better. They informed me that there was a bonfire held this weekend and that we should go shopping, and unfortunately for me, that is today.

After hours and hours of roaming around the mall, checking out various shops and trying on a thousand dresses, selected mostly by Christina, I was exhausted.

"We have still not found a dress for you, " Christina whines. I roll my eyes.

"I don't want a new dress Chris, I can just wear one from my closet, " I huff.

"Nice joke, " she snorts. Realizing I was serious, she grabs my hand.

"Over my dead body. Let's go here, " she says pointing to a shop towards her right.

"I'm sure we'll find you something just perfect. I'll make you look dashing for the bonfire, " she says dragging me towards the store. Browsing through the racks, I come across a golden top that goes almost up to my knees. I quickly go to the changing room and try it on. Reviewing myself in the mirror, I smile (Picture above).

I step out of the room to a squealing Christina.

"OMG!! Tris, you look absolutely gorgeous, " she screams twirling me around to get a better look.

"I'm sure all the boys will be drooling over you, " she says wiggling her eyebrows. I roll my eyest, going back and changing out of the dress.

"Now we have to find you matching accessories, " Chris says as I come out of the changing room. I groan, silently debating with myself on whether I should just take the risk and run. Before I have a chance to execute my plan, Christina drags me away to an accessory store. Having no choice, I follow her reluctantly.

After about 4 hours of wandering around the mall, we finally leave. As we drive out of the mall, I let out a sigh. Resting my tired legs, I lean back against the seat and drift off, with the sun hitting on my face...

"All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die in one life before we can enter another."

This is just a filler chapter. I am really sorry for the delay. But, I have exams going on and since this is my last year of school, a lot of work is eating up my time. I will try to update whenever I get time. Hope you'll continue to support me even if my updates take some time. Love you all

BE BRAVE ♥️♥️
