It was the next day, and I was at school, putting stuff in my locker when I heard a familiar voice from behind me, "Hey, you".
I closed my locker and turned around, smiling. It was Dustin. "Hey,you", I said back, "What's up?" He shrugged and fiddled with his arm cast, "I don't know, I guess I just miss you" he said. I hugged him, but not too hard because he still had the cast and I didn't want to hurt him, "Aww! I miss you too, baby", I said. I loved it when we called each other cute nicknames like that. We kissed, but it was just for a split second on the lips.
"Well take a look at you two", Cleo said, walking over. "Hey Cleo, what's your next class?" I asked. "Health", she replied,"but you guys should come with me, you might want to talk to the 'love' doctor".
"Alright, alright that's enough Cleo",I said. "I can't help it! You two are just so cute together!", she squealed.
Suddenly, Nick came over and put his arm around Cleo. "Us too, aren't we babe?", Nick said, winking at her. Cleo rolled her eyes and pushed him away, then walked away. Nick looked confused, "What?" Then he followed her. "Good luck" I said, laughing.
"He's not giving up, is he?" Dustin asked. I shook my head, "He's Nick, he physically can't give up".
Suddenly the bell rang. Dustin and I looked at each other. "So I'll see you at the meeting?", he asked. "What meeting?" I questioned, puzzled."For my basketball practice and your cheerleading" he reminded me. "Oh, that, yeah, of course!",I said. I got lost in him. "See you then" he said, walking away. "Bye" I said. I watched him walk away. No wonder he was a basketball player, he was tall, but not too tall, and thin, but not overly thin. He was perfect, very perfect. Suddenly I saw Tabitha walk past me, and she smiled at me. Ever since last night, things have been great between us. She had taught me an important lesson, don't judge a book by it's cover, and don't judge me and my unwritten life.
