Amaya's POV

Ah! I can’t believe how busy I am! Why did I ever think this was a good idea? It’s Thanksgiving Day and I still haven’t been able to finish the preparations for our party!

This all started yesterday…

~*Flashback*~

“Oh my gosh I just remember something!” I yelled while playing videogames with Naruto and the guys. “What’s wrong Amaya?” asked Naruto while pausing the game we were currently playing.

I stood up and ran to my room looking for my phone, while I was looking in my room the guys decided to come to my room to see what I was doing.

“What are you looking for?” Asked Kiba while entering my room along with everyone else, I finally found it under my covers and fished it out.

I looked at the calendar and my suspicion was confirmed, tomorrow was going to be Thanksgiving. “Holy shit how could I forget such an important day!!”

“What’s wrong?” asked Naruto besides me giving me a curious look, I sighed and responded. “I totally forgot that tomorrow’s Thanksgiving!”

“But we don’t celebrate that in japan.” Sasuke said giving me a dull look, I rolled my eyes and turned to face Naruto.

“This means a lot to me, it will be the first thanksgiving spending with my family, my real family, I loved my other parents but it means a lot more to me that I’m with you.”

He gave me a caring look then his usual grin broke out. “Then let’s celebrate! I’ll get the cook to-” “NO!” I yelled interrupting him he looked at me baffled.

“I thought you said you wanted to celebrate?” I turned and faced the others now. “Yes I do want to celebrate, but it’s not right if someone else does most of the work a family is supposed to do together, don’t you agree?”

They seemed to understand and nodded their heads, I smiled and raised my fist into the air. “Alright operation Thanksgiving is a go!”

I then pointed to all the guys. “Alright tell the rest of our friends to invite their families and to come help if they want to.”

I then pointed towards Choji. “You will help me in getting the food I need for the dinner since your family runs a world class restaurants, also find any other of our friend who are willing to help me cook.”

He nodded and gave me a salute, I then pointed to Kiba. “You will be in charge of entertainment, I want you to gather anything that will be fun to do when we have the party.”

He to saluted me, I then pointed to Sai. “You will be in charge of taking pictures of this event, make sure to find someone else so they can assist you.”

He gave me an awkward salute, I then moved on to everyone else giving them tasks to do for me. “All right people! We have around twenty four hours to get this thing ready don’t disappoint me!”

They all responded by yelling ‘yes mam!’ and scurried off to do as they were told, well most of them did Shikamaru kept complaining about how much of a drag it was and that I was so troublesome.

Now only Naruto, Sasuke, and I were left in my room I turned and faced. “Alright Naruto our family will be doing the cooking and the hosting of this party, you got it?”

He nodded and gave me a thumbs up. “Got it.” I then faced Sasuke. “And since your father is head of the police, be a dear and ask if he can get us some security for the party you know how some people like to come uninvited.”

“Who died and made you queen?” he said in his monotone voice I had a smile on my face but I had an anger mark.

“Please Sasuke as a favor?” “No.” ok now I was done I dropped my smile and gave him a evil look. “Listen you piece of shit, I want to celebrate a day of family and friends and you better not be difficult or I am going to seriously hurt you Sasuke Uchiha.”

He raised his hands up in surrender. “Just kidding, shesh no need to be cruel.” He then walked out to do   as I instructed.

“Oh! And can you tell TenTen if she could please get her family to make some invitations by the end of the day? Thank you!”

He just waved without looking back and exited my room, I faced Naruto and smiled. “Ok let’s get started.”  

He nodded and we both walked out of my room.

~*End of Flashback*~

Ugh it seemed so much easier yesterday than it did today, currently we were in the Uzumaki ball room making sure everything was ready.

I had a clip board and had a long list of things to do I had already spent a few hours on it and I was still not finished.

Auntie Kushina and Uncle Minato were also helping they also had clip boards, Kushina was checking on decorations with Ino and Minato was checking on the music with Kiba. 

“Alright how’s the music guys?” they gave me thumbs up from where they were, we were going to have a DJ, and band.

“Okay that’s a check, Kiba what are we having for entertainment?” “I was able to set up a gaming area near the snack bar, we also have paintball, rock climbing, zip line, football, soccer, and a bouncy house for the kids.”

He said counting off what it was that he had I gave him a nod and moved on to the next thing on my list. “Ino have all the decorations arrived yet?”

“Yes everything is here and you’ll love the flowers my family brought in.” I have her a nod and looked to see if everything was in order, it seemed ok so I checked my watch. 

It showed that it was six thirty, yes we had pulled and all nighter I made sure we did so we can have time to have everything done and be able to take a nap, if needed, then get ready for the party.

I then hurried to our kitchen and looked for Choji, when I found him I asked if all the food and ingredients I requested were here.

“Yeah were all set, hey can I have I snack?” I have him a nod. “Yes you can but only one thing were not completely done so hop to it!”

I then checked to make sure our table was set, since we had so many people coming over I had to get Lee’s families shop get us very grand and long table that included matching chairs.

I made sure there was enough seats for everyone and that nothing was off, I gave a nod of approval and checked on other things.”

Half way through my list I decided to take a break I sat on the couch and sighed. Ooh I soo need this~. I thought to myself as I closed my eyes for a small nap.

I opened my eyes when felt a tap on my shoulder I turned and looked to see it was Sasuke, Gaara, and Naruto. “Oh I did I sleep to long? Sorry let’s get back to work.”

I got up and stretched and finally stood up straight, I grabbed my clipboard and faced the guys. “Ok so let’s go and make sure that there’s enough security Sasuke then Gaara and I wil-”

“Actually that’s not why we came to see you.” Gaara said in his usual deep voice, I gave them a puzzled look.

“What do you mean, we need to get those things done so we can be ready.” I said furrowing my eyebrows at them.

“Amaya we think you should take a break, everyone has but you, I think I should take over and you should go take a break.”

Naruto said giving me a look that said ‘you have no choice in this’ “But Naruto no offence but I don’t think you can handle doing this by yourself.”

“Then I’ll help him.” Sasuke finally decided to say, I frowned why they won’t just let me do this. “But-” “No buts you’re doing what we said, I mean look at yourself you have bags under your eyes.”

I quickly pulled out my phone and checked my eyes, it was true I had bags under my eyes. “Amaya everyone’s worried for you.”  Naruto said trying to comfort me.

“This cannot be happening.” I said while putting my face in my hands I felt arms wrap themselves around me and begin to carry me.

I lifted my head and saw it was Naruto I grabbed onto him and put my head on his chest and fell whispered.

“You better not mess up.” I heard a chuckle and then I fell into a deep sleep.

{Time Skip}

My eyes fluttered opened and I took in my surrounding’s, I was in my room on my bed and under the covers.

I looked at my watch and my eyes widened it was two in the afternoon, two! I quickly got off the covers and put on my shoes and rushed down stairs.

As soon as I reached the bottom of the stairs I noticed that everything thing seemed to be ready. Well it seemed as Naruto and the guys did a pretty good job making sure all that I wanted was done.

“Amaya your awake!” I turned but was immediately glomped by the person who yelled my name, I didn’t know who it was at moment but I hugged them back anyway.

When the person finally decided to let go I looked up and saw it was Auntie Kushina. “Oh my gosh, I just remembered! The dinner we have to get started right away Aunt Kushina!”

“I know, I know calm down we knew you would say that so we already started just a little while ago but considering that there will be a lot of people you will still get the chance to make dinner with us as a family.”

I breathed a sigh of relief, since it was two and they had already began and the dinner will start at around five, I’m  pretty sure we will  be able to finish in time.

“Ok let’s get going then.” I said she nodded and grabbed my hand and we rushed to the kitchen. When we got there I saw Uncle Minato, Naruto, Jiraiya, and a few of my friends cooking.

Well most of them were anyway, the boys were having trouble doing anything, I stifled a laugh and went up to them so I could help.

Naruto was having trouble chopping some vegetables I went next to him and took his knife, and like a pro, I chopped all the vegetables. (Like Tiana from the princess and frog if you’ve seen it)

He gave me a smoked look and I just winked at him and said. “Maybe you should just help with getting others things they need.” He nodded his head and went off to go help someone.

I then went up to uncle Minato who was struggling with making a few dessert, I gave him specific instructions on what to do and told him if he needed help he could ask me or one of the other girls.

When I went up to Jiaraiya he seemed to be a little with what the girls were doing and he kept whispering something about every man’s dream and research.

I just told him to lie down and just relax since he was old and didn’t have to force himself to help. I then asked Hinata, who was also helping in the kitchen, if there was anything I could do she immediately put me to work.

While doing my part I was able to see who was helping out Kushina, Hinata, TenTen, Temari, Naruto, Minato, Choji, Gaara, and Sasuke.

Wow I never deemed Sasuke and Gaara as the type to cook, and they seemed pretty good at it to. I smiled to myself as I was decorating some desserts Minato made, which turned out great, I was so happy this is what it should be like on thanks giving.

Family and friends gathering together to have fun and celebrating the holiday.  After God knows how long we were finally able to finish with the cooking.

“Good job ever one! Make sure to be careful when grabbing the dishes and set them on the table in the order we discussed we would.”

Auntie Kushina yelled so we would all be able to hear what we had to do, I grabbed some mashed potatoes and I set it next to the vegetables at the center of the table.

“Yes! We finally finished!” yelled Naruto fist pumping a few others followed his example and started cheering.

“Ah ah ah, were not done yet we have to get ready for the dinner!” Sakura yelled squealing over the fact of dressing up.

“Alright ladies to the west side and gents to the east side.” Minato said when we all were at the stairs that split into different directions.

“Okay this isn’t a formal even, but it’s not too casual either.” Sakura said while looking at every ones clothes, she gave all of them a nod of approval but when she got to me she didn’t.

“Amaya, where’s your outfit?” I gave her a sheepish look and rubbed the back of my head. “Um well you see I was kind of busy with the whole getting this ready stuff that ii um kinda forgot.”

She gave me a look of terror. “How could you forget? Alright ladies we need to get her and outfit stat!” All the girls nodded their head and rushed to my closets.

Temari and Hinata called dibs on doing my make up, and Sakura and Ino were going my hair. TenTen pulled out all the clothes that fit Sakura’s description and laid them out, and Auntie Kushina just sat there supervising.  

After a while of nit picking the girls finally found something for me to wear, then they did my hair and makeup. (The picture is obviously what she’s wearing, hair, and makeup.) It was finally time to let the guests in.

After we were all ready we all walked out of my room towards the stairs but before we got there Auntie Kushina pulled me back.

“What’s wrong Aunt Kushina?” “Well while you were Sleeping on your bed we decided it would be nice if the boys would escort us down stairs to meet the guests.”

I blinked at her and then asked. “Who’s my partner?” She just patted my back and kept walking ahead of me I then walked after her when I was almost left behind.

When we finally reached were the stairs were at I was able to see who was going to be paired up with who.

Uncle Minato with Auntie Kushina, Naruto with Hinata, Neji with TenTen, Sai with Ino, Lee with Sakura, much to her displeasure, and Shikamaru with Temari ok so that being said it left me with a bunch of other guys Sasuke, Gaara, Kiba, Konkuro,  and Shino.

What kind of arrangement was this! Why would they do this, couldn’t they find other girls to even this out a bit!

I huffed when we all had to walkdown the stairs together. “How is it possible that you guys didn’t have other girls come to be your partners and left me with one of you!”

I whispered harshly to them as a Hyuuga family member walked away. “We forgot.” Was Sasuke’s simple answer I glared at him and then plastered on a smile as another guest came to greet us.

This is so stupid I thought to myself. It took an hour and a half to greet all the guests, and most of it was because they all had to show their invitations to sectary to prove that they were invited.

“Alright can everyone please go to the other room so we can began our dinner please.” Uncle Minato’s voice said into his microphone.

Everyone then started walking to the next room I decided to stay back. “Amaya aren’t you coming?” Asked Gaara while looking back at me.

“I will I just think it will be easier if we just wait until there not a crowd to push threw to get to the room.”

He nodded his head and stayed with me along with the rest of the guys. “It’s not as crowded now.” Shino said speaking for the first time.

I nodded my head and we all walked into the dining room. We all had seats in the front near our family and friends.

All the guys went to pull my chair they bumped into each other at the same time I giggled at that. Gaara was finally able to pull out my chair and I sat down.

I was sitting in between Naruto and Sasuke Gaara sat in front of me, after we gave our thanks we started eating.

After not eating in twenty four hours I was famished I pilled my plate high and stuffed my face. After I finally finished I leaned back, closed my eyes, and patted my stomach.

“Ah that was good, and that chocolate fondue really hit the spot.” When I opened my eyes I looked at my friends and most of them busted out laughing.

“O-Oh m-my go-god hahaha, that w-was so funny!” Temari yelled going into another fit of laughter, my face went pink and I pouted.

“Hm! What’s so funny!” I asked looking around, Naruto answered my question. “You ate all of that so fast it was surprising, not only that but you have some food on your face.”

I blushed even harder and grabbed a napkin and wiped my face as quickly as possible. “You earned my respect.” I heard Choji whisper, that started another course of laughter, and this time I joined in.

I whipped a tear from my eyes and looked around, I loved the feeling of this moment I heard a herd a snap and saw Sai took a picture of this moment.

I gave him a thumbs up and he gave me a small smile, around an hour later we were all dancing our asses off, rock climbing and everything else Kiba had for entertainment.

The last thing we did for the night was a final dance the DJ was playing Paradise from Coldplay and a lot of people started to slow dance together.(You can play the song now)

I was against the wall just savoring the moment I had drank a bit of alcohol earlier, a dare, and I was a bit tipsy and couldn’t see anything but shapes.

I was tapped on the shoulder and a squinted my eyes to see who it was, and the fact that it was dark didn’t help.

I could only notice it was a person and a male and the voice sounded familiar so I must have known him. “Do you want to dance?”

“Sure.” He grabbed my hand and took me out to the dance floor along with the other couples. He then wrapped one of his hands around my waist and I put mine on his shoulder.

“I love this Soong.” I slurred leaning against his chest I felt a vibration and guessed he gave a chuckle. “So who are you?”

I asked trying to look at him again, and again I couldn’t see who it was I gave a pout. “Tell me!” I demanded.

He just chuckled and spun me around. “Well your defiantly not Naruto, he can’t dance this well.” I said while trying to keep up without falling on my face.

“I’m defiantly not him.” He said in such a familiar voice that it clicked and I realized who it was, I gasped. “You’re…”

Cliffhanger! Kid of I think, I know yesterday was thanksgiving but I did most of this yesterday so it still counts! Anyways I hope you had a nice time with your families! And if you didn’t or didn’t celebrate its ok! Oh one more thing, whoever can guess who the mystery man is will get a chapter in there honor!
