Amaya’s POV

“NARUTO!”

In that instance I heard a cracking noise I dropped my head and started to bawl my eyes out. This cannot be happening.

By now Itachi had loosened his hold on me and I slowly fell to my knees and covered my face with my hands.

“This can’t be happening, this can’t be happening…” I wept in utter sorrow I didn’t even pay attention to my surrounding.

Nothing mattered anymore one of the persons I hold dear to me just… I can’t even say it.

 It wasn’t until I felt a hand on my shoulder that removed my hands from my face.

“Look it’s not over yet.” I heard Konan whisper in my ear I snapped my head up and focused on what was happening.

My eyes widened and my mouth dropped open Naruto was standing tall and Pein was now holding a bloody nose.

So Pein hadn’t broken Naruto’s neck, Naruto had broken Pein’s nose in a surprise attack. Naruto looked over at me gave me a thumbs up and grinned.

“D-Don’t cry Amaya, I-I’m n-never going to g-give up, t-that’s just my way.” I brought my hands to my mouth to stifle a cry.

I was still crying but for an entirely different reason, I was crying out of joy for Naruto being alive and well.

Naruto then looked back at Pein and gave him a scary face, “I-I’ll never give u-up on family.” Pein only looked at Naruto before wiping the blood away from his face.

“Even though I almost killed you your still standing.” Naruto’s grin then turned into a smirk. “Y-Yeah it’s going to take a lot more than that to get rid of me.”

“Naruto you idiot! Don’t egg him on like that!” I screamed whipping the tears from my face, Naruto glanced back at me and rubbed his neck and laughed.

“Hehe, sorry Amaya I couldn’t help it.” Pein moved his leg back and Naruto’s attention immediately snapped back to him.

All the amusement and cheeriness gone to be replaced by seriousness, Pein took on more step back Naruto took a stance ready for anything.

But just when we all thought Pein was going to start fighting again he turned around and started to walk away.

Naruto blinked a few times and stared at Pein’s retreating figure, “HEY! Where are you going?!” Pein didn’t even glance back but he did answer.

“I have lost all interest in this battle, be grateful I let you live.” Relief washed over me as he when he said he was going to let Naruto live.

I stood up from my place on the ground and ran past Pein to Naruto and wrapped him in my embrace giving him the biggest hug I’ve ever given anyone.

He flinched a bit and I let him go. “I’m sorry! I forgot that you were injured!” “Nah its okay, I’m fine as a fiddle.”

I sighed and looked up at Naruto tears in my eyes he started to freak out. “H-Hey! Why are you crying I’m fine see, see!”

Naruto said moving around to prove his point, I smiled and wiped away the tears and replied. “Hehe I’m just really glad that your okay is all.”

Naruto’s gaze softened and he put his hand on my head and messed up my pony tail. “Don’t you worry Amaya I’ll always be here for you.”

He then wrapped his arms around my waist and I did the same. “Always…” he whispered as I buried my face into his chest.

After our little moment I helped Naruto walk over to Itachi’s Lamborghini, surprisingly he waited for us, but Pein and Konan were nowhere to be found.

Itachi was leaning against the front of it and had his arms crossed once he saw me approach he came up to me.

“I see you both finally finished.” “Yeah, you got a problem with that?” he ignored my comment and kept talking.

“Now that you were able to get him here well be on our way.” “And were exactly is that?” Naruto asked giving Itachi a suspicious look.

Took the words right out of mouth, I thought to myself.

“You’ll find out when we get there.”

Ugh and again a vague answer from Itachi Uchiha ladies and gentlemen

I helped Naruto get into the vehicle before getting in myself and putting on my seat belt. “Oh and one more thing.”

Itachi said as he pulled off his tie and handed it to me. “Use this to cover his eyes he can’t see where we are going.”
 I gave him a look as if I was questioning his sanity. “Just do it.”  “Fine, fine I’m going.” I turned around and put the tie over his eyes and made sure there was no possible way he would be able to see anything.

When I finished with my task I looked at Itachi and remembered what I said to him.

“Just because you abandoned you family doesn’t mean id do the same!”

I felt terrible for saying that so I felt the need to apologize to him. “Um, so about what I said earlier…”Itachi glanced at me.

“What about it.” He said in his usual monotone voice that I’m used to, but this time it sent shivers down my spine.

“I-I ugh just wanted to apologize, I had no right to say what I did.” I stuttered feeling like a lamb under a lions gaze.

He looked back at the road and didn’t answer, I took this as a bad sign and looked away ashamed. “Hey! Are you going to forgive her or what?”

Naruto yelled not happy that I was being ignored Itachi kept his gaze on the road as he answered. “There’s nothing to forgive it doesn’t matter to me what she says.”

“Still! I didn’t have the right to say that so I’m still apologizing!” I blurted out he looked at me this time and sighed.

“What you said was true so it doesn’t affect me.” I furrowed my eyebrows. “Are you sure about that.” He locked eyes with me as I said that.

I didn’t move my eyes, his onyx eyes boring into mine he might look emotionless but he’s still human and I could see it in his eyes he was hurting.

He was the first to break contact which was surprising and replied. “Like I said it didn’t affect me so don’t worry about apologizing.”

I sighed he’s just as stubborn as Sasuke, another reason there obviously related. Today was a long day and all I really wanted to do at the moment was fall asleep.

I leaned back against the leathery seat and closed my eyes, the movement of the Lamborghini helping to lull me to sleep.

The next thing I knew I was out cold.

~*Time Skip*~

I groaned as I opened my eyes and glanced around. I was in a very large black and white room with a bit of brown and grey.

 There was a fireplace close to the bed that was on and it had a plasma TV on it. The bed I was in was a king size and had plenty of covers.

On each side of the bed were large mirrors from the floor up and drawers as well. Hell the room even had its own living room!

 After looking around I got to stretch when I felt that there was something clutching to my waist.

I look down to see my energetic cousin all bandaged up and okay, I smiled and then looked at myself.

I was utterly disgusted.

I was wearing the same clothes I was wearing yesterday, gross. I slowly pulled the covers off of me making sure not to wake Naruto as I got out of his grasp.

 I needed to get cleaned up ASAP, I opened one of the doors and was happy to see a nice clean bathroom.

But first another pair of clothes were a major priority.

I started to look around the room and briskly found my bag that Itachi previously had laying on one of the couches in the living room place next to my backpack and gym bag.

I grabbed my necessities and uniform and walked to the bathroom. Hey it was Wednesday and I still had to go to school no exceptions.

 I was dead set on thoroughly washing my body so I decided to take a bath inside the shower and then the tub.  

I looked around inside and found some fluffy towels and robes I grabbed both and placed my clean clothes near the sink.

I looked up and saw my reflection in the mirror, and I had to say I’ve had better days. My usual silky and glossy hair was a mattered mess no shine in it at all.

My typical bright face had lost its wonderful glow and was replaced by a sickly looking skin and bags under my blood shot eyes.

I looked like I had been through hell and back, and I kinda had been through that. I mean seriously first I have to train with a bunch of lunatics.

Next I find out someone’s after me, Sasuke gets shot, I get shot, I’m ordered to live with the Akatsuki, and  Naruto almost…died under my leaders hand.

And on top of that I’m pretty sure I only got like what, two hours of sleep? I really just want to throw in the towel and just quit.

But I know I can’t really do that.

I chose it was better to take a shower first to clean myself and then take a bath to relax. I didn’t know show the shower heads worked but after a few errors I got it.

I took my hair out of its high pony tail and started to undress until I was in my birthday suit and got into the shower.

I took thirty minutes taking washing my hair and my body using the shampoo and body wash that was already there.

Once I was one hundred percent certain I was clean I got out and placed the robe over my naked body.

I then started to get the tub ready, I poured in some rose scented oils I found in a cabinet and some bubble soap so I could have a bubble bath.

I turned on the water and made sure the temperature was perfect, once it was full and bubbly I too of my robe and slowly started to get inside.

The warm feeling of the water and the rose scent in it started to relax me a bit. I just sat there in the water and started to think about yesterday’s events.

All the knots in my back started to ease away, I slide into the tub even more to the point that it was to my mouth.

It was then that I started to hear some racket going on in the room on the other side of the door. What the hell is going on?

I could make out two people arguing in the other room when suddenly it all stopped. I sat up a bit to hear what was going on when suddenly my door busted open.

I jumped up in surprise as Deidara and Naruto fell flat on the floor, they both glared at it each other and started to argue.

“See what you did hm!” Deidara yelled pushing Naruto off of him, Naruto in return yelled back even louder.

“It’s not my fault! I told you that you weren’t needed but you didn’t listen to me!” what the actual hell, I’m taking a bath here.

“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TWO IDIOTS DOING!?!?” I yelled catching both of their attention they both blushed and turned red.

I covered my chest and gave them the most terrifying look I could muster. “Get the hell out or both of you blonds will die by my hand.”

I snarled, they both realized that I wasn’t joking and ran out of the bathroom and closed the door behind them.

I huffed and got out of the tub and but on the robe I went up to the sink grabbed my clothes and started to put it on.

Once I was fully clothed I put the towel over my head so it would dry, I then started to rub the towel so it could dry faster.

After about two minutes I put the towel over my dirty clothes from before and left it there. Next I started to brush all the knots out of my hair.

I choose to leave it down and put it back later I walked over to the bathroom door and opened it ready to scold the two idiots.

They were both sitting on the couch in the living room area my belongings the only thing between them glaring at each other.

I crossed my arms and put on an annoyed look a dark aura surrounding me. “Ahem.” In a second they both looked my way.

Naruto lost a bit of color from his face while Deidara’s turned a bit pink. “A-Amaya! Uh um Good morning!”

Naruto stammered not quite sure what to say to me at the moment, Deidara didn’t say anything the only thing he was doing was avoiding eye contact.

“It’s not that good of a morning considering both of you walked in on me taking a bath.” I said emphasizing the word bath.

Both of them jumped of the couch in front of me and got on their hands and knees bowing. “Were very sorry!”

The yelled simultaneously I just started to tap my finger against my arm and glared at them as they rose their heads.

“Now tell me, why exactly where you two arguing that caused you to break the lock on the bathroom door?”

I asked my voice cold as ice they both quivered from my gaze and word before answering. “I just wanted to see if you were okay before this idoit attacked me hm!”

Deidara shouted while pointing at Naruto. “Huh?! It’s because of you guys that she’s having a hard time!”

Naruto countered glaring at Deidara. “Whatever you were the one that was stupid enough to challenge leader un!”

I felt a tick mark form on my head as they argued. “SILENCE! I see the only reason this happened is because you’re both bone heads.”

I snapped putting my hands on my hips staring them down, they immediately stopped and looked back at me.

“Now Deidara answer one question.” “Yes?” “Where exactly we?” he smirked a before answering. “Were at the Akatsuki hideout hm 

That was a shock Pein actually decided to allow Naruto to come here, now that explains why Itachi wanted me to blindfold Naruto.  

He didn’t want Naruto figuring out where the hideout was and be able to tell others were it was. That’s when another popped into my head.

“If this is indeed the hideout how did I get here? I fell asleep and I don’t remember getting here.” Naruto answered that one.

“After we got here I wanted to carry you since you were asleep but I obviously couldn’t so Itachi did.” oh, so I was carried.

“Oh, well um what time is it?” I asked not wanting to stay on that topic Deidara pulled out his phone and checked it.

“Its seven twenty.”  My eyes widened we only had forty minutes to get to school! “We need to get going!”

I yelled rushing back to the bathroom to properly fix my hair, I felt that putting it up in its usual high pony tail was to much of a hassle.

So I decided that today my hair would be down with two pieces from each side of my hair braided and tied back bend my head.

I rushed back out to the room and started to gather my material for today I saw that Naruto and Deidara were both just sitting there not doing anything.

“Why aren’t you guys getting ready? Hurry up!” Deidara came up to me and put his hand on my shoulders.

“Relax un, were the Akatsuki we can get away with anything.” I put my hands on my hips and replied. “That may be the case with you guys but I for one don’t like to be late!”

“Just my thoughts exactly.” I heard a smooth voice say from across the room I looked back and saw it was the red headed Akatsuki member Sasori.

 He started to walk from his spot at the door and came over, “The reason I set you here was to tell them to get ready, not socialize you brat.” 

Sasori said giving Deidara a small glare. “I wasn’t trying to! And it doesn’t matter if were late you and I both know that hm.”

“Even so you know I hate to be kept waiting brat.” Deidara huffed before turning away from Sasori’s piercing gaze.

His gaze shifted over to me and looked me over and did the same to Naruto. “You should get ready, it’s bad enough you have to stay with us so do not keep us waiting.”

That was obviously directed to Naruto since he was only wearing his boxers and a white T-shirt. With those last words Sasori turned around and walked out of the room.

I turned around and faced Naruto pointing my finger at him, “Naruto you have two minutes to get ready, if you can’t in that amount of time we will leave you.”

His eyes widened and he started to get frantic. “Ugh, uh what do I do, what do I do!  I didn’t bring any clothes!”

Deidara snickered at him when I moved my finger to him. “And you will help him! Or else I’m never speaking to you again!”

 “You can’t be serious!”   “A as a heart attack.” I grinned at him he just pouted and dragged Naruto out of the room.

I grabbed my backpack and slung it over my shoulder going over a check list mentally to make sure I had everything.

I realized that I had everything but my phone and went over to my suit case to check if it happened to be there.

My hunch was correct because in one of the small pockets was my phone, I grabbed it and pocketed it before walking out the room.

Since I had no idea where I was going I decided I was going wonder around until I bumped into someone.

I felt I vibration and checked my phone, I had gotten a message from an unknown number.

Unknown number:

Where are you two idiots?

Well hello to you too random stranger.

Me:

And with whom would I be speaking to?

Even though they were rude didn’t mean I had to be I mean, they could be very important them for all I know.

Unknown number:

Its Sasuke baka, what’s with the formality?

I glared at my phone before saving his contact number and responding.

Me:

What the hell do you want duck butt.

I kept walking still no one in sight when I finally got his message.

Sasgay:

Like I said before if you were even paying attention I was asking were you two idiots were, I drove by your house to pick you up and the maid told me that you guys weren’t home. Now you guys aren’t even at school and there’s thirty minutes until the bell rings.

“Thirty minutes?!” I yelled checking the time, and indeed we did only have thirty minutes till eight. I quickly swiped my reply and started to run.

Me:

That information is classified duck butt, and we’ll be there! L8tr!

I pocketed my phone in my blazer again and increased my speed, I desperately needed to find someone! I was not about to be late to school!

Considering we were far from the city it would take around fifteen minutes for us to get there ten more for traffic, and then five to actually getting there. So yeah I was worried. 

As if answering my prayer I did end up bumping into someone, literally. I let out an “Oof!” as I hit the person on hard on the chest.

I felt there pair of hands on my shoulder and move me off of them. “You need to watch were you’re going next time.”

Well hell it’s the other Uchiha.

“Sorry, I just really needed to find someone we only have like ten, or less, minutes to get to class and I for one cannot stand for tardiness!”

I let out in all one breathe catching my breathe afterword he let out a hm and started to walk to the next to us.

“Are you coming?” I nodded and followed right after him when we went through the door I saw that we were at the entrance of the mansion and mostly everyone was there, with the exception of Pein, Konan, and ugh Ayame.

Catching sight of me Naruto waved me over. “Amaya! Look I was able to get ready see!” he was indeed ready.

He was wearing the school uniform and also had his backpack on him as well. “Great, can we get going now?”

I asked irritated that we were taking too long, “How much time do we have until the bell anyway?” I asked checking my phone.

“Twenty five…” I breathed out, there’s no way in hell wed make it to school now I thought to myself as a dark cloud formed above my head.

“Who do you think we are?” Deidara asked grinning at me no worried in the world, well of course not he doesn’t care about punctuality.

A bunch of psychopaths

He didn’t give me a chance to answer he just continued talking. “Were the Akatsuki and we can make the impossible possible.”

He walked up to me and grabbed my hand and began to drag me outside. “And how exactly are we going to get there in twenty minutes?”

“It takes up to fifteen just getting to the city and around now there has to be traffic! There’s no way well make it!”

We were now outside and walking towards the parking lot he stopped dragging me when we got to Itachi’s Lamborghini.

Before I got the chance to say anything else he opened the passengers set door and threw me in it. “That’s what you think hm.”

 Those were his last words before he slammed the door and walked over to another fancy car a jaguar.  I was about to get out when the other Akatsuki members started to get into their own fast vehicles.

Itachi also got inside his with Naruto trailing behind. “What? Are you guys serious, you’re not really going to try there no wa-”

“Just put your seat belt on, and you but on the blind fold.” Was Itachi’s response I glared at him and did as I was told, Naruto did too and when we finished putting our seat belts on Itachi took off followed by the others.

My body was pushed back against the seat because of how fast he was going, every time he would make a sharp turn my body would jerk in that direction.

“W-What the hell are you doing?! Are you trying to kill us!?” Itachi just ignored me and continued to drive.

 I looked at the speedometer in the vehicle and saw we were going really fast I was surprised that we haven’t crashed when we make the turns.

When I looked up I saw we were getting closer and closer to the city. “Y-you’re going to slow down when we get to the city? Right?”

He just gave me an hm and answered my question my speeding up I could hear the other members of the Akatsuki also speed up behind us.

I was able to catch a glance at the speedometer and my eyes almost popped out of their sockets, we were going 250 miles an hour!

As soon as we entered the city all I could feel was Itachi making sharp turns and my head hitting the window or seat.

We were almost at the school we just needed to get past one more stop light and go through the schools gates.

Itachi was weeding is way through the other cars in front of us when I saw the light turn red, but that didn’t stop Itachi.

He just kept driving, I saw a trailer truck ahead of us so if we did stop wed crash into it, “Are you crazy?!” I yelled just as Itachi stepped on the gas.

The truck was already past the stop sign and so had we I was sure we were going to crash and surly die, I’ve never been so glad to be wrong.

We drove right under it without a scratch and made it to the school, I was clutching the seat and breathing heavily.

“We… we could have died….” “If you don’t want to be late you better hurry up.” Itachi said not moving from his spot.

I turned to him and gave him a nod. “Even though you could have killed us with that crazy driving I glad you were able to get us here in time.”

“Thank you.” I turned around and opened the door and stepped out I grabbed my phone and checked the time.

Two minutes, we had two minutes to get to first period. “Hurry up Na-” I was picked up and slung over someone’s shoulder before I could finish my sentence.

I bushed and stuttered, “W-What the hell are you doing?!” it was Deidara who had slung me over his shoulder and was now running through the halls at my school.  

“You don’t want to be late right? Since you’re a girls you’ll probably be slow so I’m carrying you to class. You’re welcome un.”

I didn’t ask for you fucking help, and what’s all that about girls being slow you sexist bastard!

I choose not to voice my thought because it was the thought that counted, even though he said it in a very rude, asshole-ish way.

I looked up and saw Naruto was also being carried but he looked as uncomfortable as me. He was being carried piggy back style by Kisame and both looked irritated.

Deidara suddenly stopped and put be down on my own two feet. “And in you go hm!” I was pushed into class Naruto right behind me just as the bell rang and everyone started to seat down.

Both Naruto and I followed there example and took our seats, and when we did the interrogation began. “And were exactly where you two?”  

I sighed before answering, “We spent the night at the Akatsuki hideout.” I received a few gasp from friends.

“T-The A-Akatsuki?” Hinata stuttered looking a little pale, “what happened?” Sakura asked giving both me and Naruto a look.

We looked at each other before explaining the whole scenario that happened the other night. “A-Are you o-okay N-Naruto?”

Hinata asked a little concerned Naruto gave her a grin, “Yup I’m all better!” Hinata blushed a bit and looked down.

Aw her crush on his was Soooo adorable, “I’m just glad we got here in time.” I said leaning down against my seat.

“I don’t know why you would be, Kakashi sensei is always late so if you did come late he still would have counted you present.”

Kiba said looking at me I kept a blank look on my face and then planted my face on my desk. “I almost died again from and Uchiha’s driving for no reason, I give up on life…”  

Everyone chuckled except for Sasuke because of the Uchiha remark around me and I kept my face on the desk, I don’t know why there laughing I was serious.

My phone vibrated in my blazers pocket I moved my face so that my cheek was against it and looked at the message.

Deidara:

Are you happy now that you were able to make it to class on time Amy-chan?

I had half the mind to text no, but then I remembered all the trouble he went through to get me here and I responded.

Me:

Yeah, thanks for doing that for me, why did you do it you didn’t have to anyway? I’m pretty sure everyone else didn’t want to rush to get me here.

He quickly replied.

Deidara:

Ha-ha, that’s what you think it doesn’t matter to them trust me. J

What? They didn’t care? I’m pretty sure Kakazu would be mad about wasting all that gas, and Hidan would be mad because he’s a dick, and everyone else is probably mad that they had to do it for me when they barely knew me.  

Me:

You’re crazy I’m sure everyone probably thought it was a tedious task to bring me to school since they barely know me and all.

Deidara:

Your wrong, but you’ll find out eventually, anyway did you get a chance to eat break feast?

Now that I think about it I haven’t eaten anything since yesterday.

Me:

No I didn’t, why?

He didn’t reply for a while and I thought he probably didn’t get it I was about to resend it when there was a knock at the door.

The whole class looked at the door being the closets to the door I stood up and opened it, I was thrown back to see Deidara there a container I his hands.

“What are you doing here? Don’t you have classes as well?” he grinned and handed it to me “You said you didn’t get a chance to eat so I got the chefs at the school to make you breakfast hm.”

I blinked a few times before replying. “Why would you do that?” the grin he had on his face was cleared off in an instant.

“What? Not even a ‘Thank you Dei’ or nothing? What the hell un?!” I smiled, “Fine, thank you Dei, how can I ever repay you.”

I said sincerity in my words he did go through all that trouble so I felt I owed him whatever it is he wanted.

“Go on a date with me hm.”’

Authors note: I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter! I know I didn’t update yesterday but it’s because I wanted to post it today on Valentine’s Day! It’s not like I procrastinated or anything!  Anyway please comment because I feel that I really need to know how I’m doing, anyway the picture is of a mad Naruto when he talked to Pein, A crying Amaya, the room and bathroom Amaya was in.
