Hana had been chatting with Bernice and some of her classmates from  last year when the music sounded. It was the usual music which indicated that it was time to go up to the hall from morning assembly. Hana, together with her classmates, picked up their bags and joined the increasing crowd of students that were moving up to the second floor, where the school hall is. 

After entering the hall, Hana spotted a student holding up the placard '301' and motioned for Bernice and a few of her previous classmates, Keane,Han and Teng, who had been allocated to the same class as her, to follow her. As Hana approached the line of students sitting in front of the student holding the placard. She once again began to feel the dread that she felt this morning. 

She sat down beside Bernice and waited for the morning assembly to start. The two girls sitting in front of them had turned around to see who else was joining the class. Apparently, Bernice knew them both because they were in the same club. Hana took out her phone and pretended to immerse herself in the games on her phone. She didnt feel like joining in the conversation, if they even asked to join them anyways. She was awkward around people she didn't know. Plus, she didn't like people judging her because of her looks. She knew she was ugly but she didn't like people judging her for it. She didn't know whether she was being paranoid or not but sometimes she just felt people judging her just because she was ugly. Hana kept her head down and avoided any contact with the two girls, Michelle and Andrea, until morning assembly started.
