Saturday finally came, and I was out most of the day calming my nerves. Flying did that. I enjoyed being able to leave the ground and move above the city, where there was nobody to bother me. I landed on a high roof, and checked the time.

11:54AM

I sighed, and flew up, flying back to the alleyway I had left, and landed. I took off the mask and the contacts out, flipped my hoodie inside out, and started walking back to the house.

"There you are!" Pearl exclaimed, opening the door, I took note of her blue necklace that held a water pendant, "Come on, everyone else is here," she whispered to me, "Flare and Grounder showed up in costume, if you want to change quickly."

I nodded, and quickly flipped my hoodie around again, pulling the mask and hood on. Pearl led me downstairs to the basement, and I made sure my bracelet was visible before taking the last step.

Isabelle was leaning against the wall, her wings weren't showing, but her scythe was leaning next to her. She had a choker around her neck, the left side white, and the right side black. A pendant was centered on it, with a picture of an angel holding a scythe. She wore the same outfit as before.

Flare was on the armchair, wearing a long sleeved red shirt and jeans instead of his jumpsuit, but he wore his mask. Grounder was on the floor sitting cross legged next to him, in shorts and a t-shirt. An anklet with a brown earth pendant and a forest green chain was around his ankle. Flare had his crimson ring showing, with a flame pattern.

"Streak," Isabelle nodded at me. Something about how she addressed me made me think that she knew who I was. I guessed Pearl told her.

"Told you she wouldn't show up out of costume," Flare grumbled.

"I did actually, but after I was informed neither of you had, I changed." I retorted, glaring at him and Grounder. Grounder looked down, as if he was ashamed.

"I'm so glad Aunty and Uncle are out..." Pearl muttered, sighing as she sat on the couch. I sat down next to her, shifting into a cross legged position. Isabelle shifted closer, but stayed against the wall.

"Since the three of you didn't show up out of costume like you said you would, I think it's only fair you take off your masks now." Isabelle stated, crossing her arms.

"You can't tell me what to do," Flare retorted, crossing his arms. I sighed, pulling my head back, and flicking my hand at Flare. A gust of wind pushed him off the chair.

"Maybe she can't, but I can make it fly off if you prefer, same goes for you Grounder," I glared at them both.

"OW! WHAT THE HELL WOMAN?!" Flare exclaimed loudly, standing up and glaring at me. I stood up as well.

"You heard me Flame Boy!"

"Flare, I don't think now is the time for us..." Grounder muttered.

"Streak, calm down," Pearl sighed.

"Force this mask off, and I'll burn you and your precious hoodie to ashes Windy!" Flare growled.

"I'd like to see you try," I snarled, drawing a knife from my pocket. His hand erupted into flames, and wind swirled around me.

"Flare!"

"Streak!"

"You want to fight me?"

"Let's go, right here, right now."

"ASHTON!"

"ELLIE!"

"WHAT?!" I turned to face Pearl, and Flare turned to face Grounder.

Isabelle sighed, and face palmed. I blinked, turning around. I faced Flare again, staring in shock. We both spoke at once.

"Did you just-"

"Answer to Ashton/Ellie?..."

I pulled my black doctor mask off, and he took off the one around his eyes. Grounder stood up and did the same.

I think I stopped working for a full minute, trying to comprehend what the hell was going on. Finally, I lashed out.

"WHAT THE F-"

"Don't you dare start yelling Ellianna, or I swear to the deities I will kick you out of this house!" Pearl grabbed my hood, pulling me back. I yelped, pulling it away.

"But- he- they-" I failed to speak properly, and she sighed.

"I have to admit, I'm not surprised." Isabelle sighed finally, "Pearl told me about Ellie, and it wasn't hard to figure out you two."

I stared at everyone for a full minute, before groaning loudly.

"My head hurts..." I sighed, flopping back onto the couch, "What the hell..."

Hunter and Ashton were silent. Pearl glanced at them, then at me. I could tell she was worried.

Hunter coughed, "This is... awkward."

"So... you're Streak..." Ashton muttered, staring at me.

"And... you're Flare, and you're Grounder..." I glanced up at him, then at my cousin. I stood up quietly, staring at them both.

I ran towards them, everyone flinched like I was going to attack.

I hugged Ashton, and grabbed Hunter so I could hug him too. They both squeaked, obviously surprised.

"I'm sorry..." I mumbled, "I can't believe... all this time, I was fighting my friend and my cousin."

Hunter hugged me back quickly, but it took Ashton a moment before he hugged back.

"I'm sorry too," Hunter mumbled.

"Yeah... me too..." Ashton muttered. I finally pulled away, feeling a little uncomfortable. Ashton was blushing.

I sighed, flopping back onto the couch, "So, what now?"

"Well, the good thing is that now we can search together out of costume, so we won't raise much suspicion." Hunter stated.

"The bad thing is that we still have to fight you," Ashton sighed, "unless you decide to stop murdering people."

"I can't promise that, not any time soon." I replied.

"Let's make a plan of action," Pearl said, "What information do we have?" She pulled out her notebook and placed it on the table, taking out a pencil. I hummed in thought for a moment.

"Well, we know that Seishin was seen being taken by a black slime monster thing by Billy," Grounder said, Pearl scribbled that down.

"There was a similar slime monster that attacked us that one time," I said, "it wasn't affected by anyone's attacks though, except for Isabelle's."

Pearl wrote that down too.

"I've encountered those slime monsters before," Isabelle stated, "As Seishin's blessed, I visit his homeworld often to help out. The slime monsters are called Datichies, Datichi singular. They're creatures that when aren't controlled, cause mass destruction and chaos. Seishin keeps them as guards around the underworld, but with him gone, there's nobody to control them. They are immune to normal physical attacks, and most elemental attacks, but they strongly dislike water."

"But you killed one with your scythe." Flare replied.

"My scythe is magic," she responded, "it's part of my blessing, so it's not a normal weapon, and it's physical attacks aren't normal."

"Alright," Pearl nodded, and wrote that all down, drawing a small picture to add to the notes.

"What about that article you saw?" Ashton asked, "The one about someone coming back to life?"

"That's a direct result of Seishin's disappearance," Isabelle stated, "the balance between life and death is shifting, which means strange things are going to start happening."

"Alright, so with all that, what's our plan?" Pearl asked.

"I believe whoever kidnapped Seishin is trying to kill us," Isabelle replied, "I know they have information, but I don't know how. I think our best course of action right now, is to lay low."

"I think we should investigate the school," Ashton stated, "I don't know if you've felt it, but there's something there that gives off a strong, but dangerous, feeling. I think it's part of the reason people in our class have been so antsy..."

"I actually think Ashton's right," I said, "I haven't been feeling anything, but our classmates aren't normally so... battle crazed. If something's affecting it, that would make sense."

"I don't know... like Isabelle said, using our blessings will attract unwanted attention." Pearl stated.

"We don't have to use our blessings," Hunter replied, "We could search after school, once the students are gone."

"What about the teachers?" Isabelle asked.

"You won't like my suggestion to that issue..." I grumbled.

"Well, if there's something irking the school, it won't be in plain sight," Pearl muttered, "so there's no way we would find it on the main floors..."

"The top floor of the school is abandoned I think," I said, "and there's a basement, but I think they're locked. The janitor probably has the keys."

"Steal from the janitors and explore them?" Hunter suggested.

"How do we do that?" Ashton asked. I smiled.

"I can take care of it."
