Episode 1: Runaway Robot

This isn't my first Telltale story, you can read my Telltale Steven Universe Season 1 & 2 if you want to see my experience with this type of storytelling, or you could read the rewrite edition, which is more sophisticated than the original seasons. This is also a headcanon story. If you don't know what a headcanon story is, it's where it's a story that can be considered canon to the real show/movie.

In other words, you can consider this canon to the show after season 3. Now, I know that My Life as a Teenage Robot Reboot is also taking place after season 3, so what does that mean? It means you can consider them both AUs, since they aren't official titles, but you can consider the reboot canon, since there's a lot of story ideas in this that are going to contradict what the Reboot has in mind, unless you really like this.

All the characters that weren't in the show belong to me. The rest belong to Nickelodeon (I'm too lazy to Google the creator, sorry).

A lot of inspiration was taken from the 'lost' episode called, "Jenny's Depression," an episode where Jenny had enough and she just explodes with rage, minus the massacre at the school. I also want to explain that Jenny's 'inhibitor' is removed in this story. What's Jenny's inhibitor?

According to sources, and the creator, Jenny has an inhibitor that stops her from harming human beings (unless they're criminal or evil). So, to make this story not contradict the canon storyline, Jenny will lose her inhibitor to make this more juicy. Last thing I want to make clear before starting is that I'm making a Telltale Universe, where any Telltale story I make will be in the same universe as the others.

Which means that the Telltale Steven Universe (rewritten, not the original) is in the same universe as this story. Don't worry, this contains little to no spoilers in that story (mild spoilers, so nothing big or plot-important). Enjoy this new Telltale story.

3rd Person P.O.V.

Jenny Wakeman just received another bad day at school, in spite of how much she's done for the citizens of Tremorton. What happened? The usual, Jenny not truly understanding human culture and being a victim of pranks or 'jokes' that end with her being humiliated; usually at the hands of the Crust Cousins, Brit and Tiff.

This usually happens every once and a while, but with the bad days piling up, becoming more consistent and intolerable, she's bound to snap. Her mother isn't helping much. Jenny loves her mother, don't get her wrong, but she can be too much for her to handle.

Nora often tries lecturing Jenny about how to overcome her issues, but Nora's problem is she doesn't completely understand the new generation, and is confusing it to be similar to Nora's generation in her adolescence. Nora usually ends up telling Jenny a story that is sort of relevant to Jenny's issue, but the defining difference is that Nora wasn't a robot in her youth, despite having the vocabulary of one.

Jenny flew home today, not bothering to even chat with Brad or Sheldon after school. Jenny's circuits were fried, figuratively speaking. Jenny is hardly angry, at least, not angry in public.

But when she is, she often destroys or breaks something. She roughly landed down the street, putting several cracks in the road that the road workers just fixed several days ago. Jenny usually is a bit careless when it comes to collateral damage she inflicts when in combat against hostiles, but today, she is too angry to care.

She stomped her way home on the sidewalk, making the whole neighborhood feel a slight mild earthquake with each step she took. She had a feeling in the back of her metal head that her mother knew Jenny was upset with how loud she was, along with the slight mild earthquake. But alas, Jenny still did not care, she was simply too enraged to care, as it was mentioned previously.

Was Jenny's home life the same as before? Not really, not since Nora allowed Jenny's sisters to roam the house. When did this happen? Just last year.

Each sister is allowed free-roam around the house, front yard and backyard. However, they aren't allowed to roam beyond the Wakeman property without being supervised by Jenny or Dr. Wakeman, for safety reasons. This was certainly better than being shelved in the basement.

XJ1 resides in a crib for most of the day, only allowed to roll around inside and watch cartoons for toddlers on TV. XJ2 had her laser shooting ability fixed, she can now control her ability to fire a laser without hiccuping. XJ3 finally got her disassembling issue resolved and she is still clumsy, but she's working on it.

XJ4 is doing the housework, dusting the living room and kitchen, then sweeping and mopping to keep the house clean, nothing new for her. XJ5 is practicing to be a comedian, putting her excessive chatting to a productive use, for when she is allowed to leave the Wakeman property. XJ6 is trying to learn how to be more humble, despite her being unfinished, but Dr. Wakeman is currently trying to build her another arm so she isn't physically disabled.

XJ7 is square dancing a lot more in the basement, because it's one of the few things that makes her happy. She and XJ6 are both attending virtual therapy to help overcome their issues and insecurities, being funded by Dr. Wakeman. XJ8 is reading books.

It does seem odd that someone like her is reading books. You would expect to do something else, like being the go-to robot for heavy-lifting tasks to complete whenever Jenny isn't around, she is, but her passion is reading, at the moment. It gives her this soothing solace when she reads, though, she reads aloud for herself mostly, which can be weird for some, but she really likes reading aloud.

Jenny is relatively the same as ever, going through excruciating humiliation at school and occasionally fighting foes from outer space or monsters that walk the Earth. Jenny wishes to be fighting Cluster Prime and monsters regularly again, because its one of the moments where she's distracted by the cruel society she resides in and allows her to put her anger and rage to a productive use. However, Jenny's collateral damage doesn't go unnoticed, because her mother still gets calls from Skyway Patrol about the amount of money that is put into the repairs and that someone has to pay for it.

Dr. Wakeman doesn't have the sufficient funds to pay for all of the damage, she already has trouble trying to handle the lawsuits. Skyway Patrol also gets lawsuits from people, not just the Wakeman residence. Why?

Because the governor of the state of Illinois has raised taxes up to pay for the damage in Tremorton, which results in people who are in the lower and middle class to be outrageous by these taxations. Jenny already felt hated by her town by looking different, now she's being hated by pretty much everyone in the state who has been affected by the taxes. Jenny still wishes that she accepted her offer to stay in the new Cluster Prime after the disgraced Queen Vexus has been overthrown by her subjects and her own daughter, Vega.

At least then, the inhabitants there would be grateful for her services and she would actually fit in with a society like that. And Jenny hates to admit that Vexus was right, to an extent, about how Jenny's actions will always go unnoticed and unappreciated. Jenny may be programmed to always save and value human lives, but she sometimes wants to modify her programming to make her value more deserving humans to save and put those who are mean to her on a lower scale.

She's not going to just let them die, she would just save them last, if they're still alive after a life or death situation. But we've been digressing for too long, Jenny just got home, almost breaking down the door by forcefully opening it and throwing it shut.

"XJ9!" Dr. Wakeman exclaimed when she saw her daughter enter the house. "I heard you coming, it sounds like something is troubling you."

You have four choices below to decide what Jenny says. Your choice of words will have a impact one way or another, based on your decisions. Silence is a valid option. Warning: Some characters will hold you responsible from your choices, choose wisely.

1: I'm fine.
2: I need space.
3: Now isn't a good time.
4:
...

---

1: I'm fine.

"I'm fine." Jenny quickly said as she went upstairs. "Leave me alone."

"XJ9, I'm worried." Nora replied, knowing that Jenny isn't 'fine.' "What happened today?"

2: I need space.

"I need space, Mom." Jenny replied quickly, making her way upstairs. "Don't follow me."

"Are you sure?" Nora asked. "You looked enkindled with rage."

3: Now isn't a good time.

"Mon, this is not a good time..." Jenny said with a low voice. "Leave me be."

"But, honey, you're angry." Nora replied.

4: ...

Jenny doesn't say a word as she went upstairs with her mother being concerned over her daughter.

---

Nora tried following Jenny. "XJ9--"

"I said, LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" Jenny shouted, being loud enough that all of her sisters heard her, regardless of what they were doing.

"Don't raise your tone with me, young lady!" Nora replied, trying to discipline her creation, despite the obvious fact that Jenny could easily break her and fold her up like paper.

Jenny growled. "I'VE HAD IT! I'VE HAD IT YOU SCHOOL! I'VE HAD IT WITH PEOPLE! I'VE HAD IT WITH EVERYTHING!"

Jenny's pigtails turned into rockets and she blasted off, out of a window, breaking it. Shattered glass rained inside and XJ4 quickly began sweeping it up while Nora cried out for her daughter, extremely worried. Jenny ignored it, she ignored everything around her as she flew up sky high.

She just wanted to go to her room and cry, like she normally does, but she knew her mother and most likely her sisters will not give her the decency to sob and sulk in private. She needed to get away from everyone, even those she considers family. Was it right? Probably not, to some.

Jenny used to be fine with the occasional interruptions from her mother popping out of her chest cavity to communicate with her, but it gotten too annoying, so Jenny discovered how to disable her mother's communication by taking out the radar part in her chest cavity to cease Nora's communications. She can restore communication with Nora by returning her part in the correct place. Jenny could tell that Nora was racing to her control panel to try to contact Jenny while she was flying, so she crudely opened her chest cavity and tore out the radar piece.

It is worth noting that Jenny usually carefully removes the radar, so she doesn't damage it or anything else in her system. But, Jenny doesn't care or realizes how hard she tore off the radar, because she assumed that she would probably, at most, tear off a wire or two. She knew that tearing off a wire would hurt, but she felt more than just a torn wire when she yanked the radar out.

She felt serious pain, so she looked at her hand, only to find that not only did she rip the radar out and a few wires, she tore out a lot of wires and a few parts. She gasped, because she pretty much disemboweled herself halfway. She then started to fall, because she tore a wire that controlled her rockets built-in inside her pigtails.

Jenny let out a scream of terror, because this was the first time in a long time where Jenny was in fear of her own mortality. It's very rare when Jenny is concerned for her own safety, since she's near invincible to almost anything. Gravity is one of the more dangerous things Jenny should never underestimate, because all it takes is one nasty fall from thousands of feet high to damage her beyond repair.

Jenny hardly cared about gravity, since all it takes for her to save her own life is to activate her rocket-pigtails to stop her from hitting the surface too hard. Jenny desperately tried failing her arms around like a bird's wings to slow her fall. But it hardly slowed her fall to where it makes no significance.

She saw herself falling down to the ground too quickly for her to even scream and brace herself in anticipation of hitting the ground, she hit the ground, creating a large boom in an open field. Jenny was still functional... but on the brink of permanent deactivation. Her eyes were fluttering, her system's battery depleting quickly because of her damage chest cavity.

Something was heavily damaged inside of Jenny's chest cavity, the fall must've slipped or even broken something inside of her. Jenny couldn't tell where she was. She couldn't be outside of state, she hadn't flown that far.

But she does appear to be in the countryside. It's weird to be in this part of Tremorton, or possibly a town/city near Tremorton because she's used of being inside the Tremorton town and occasionally leaving the United States to go to the United Kingdom and Japan. But she couldn't stay conscious much longer, because she needed to save her system's battery and she couldn't bear the pain she was in right now.

Hopefully, her solar and lunar panel chargers still work. She needed them to help recharge her battery in the morning before she was awoken. Fortunately, they still do.

Good, she needed them. Jenny could hope to have enough charge in the morning to be able to limp back home, assuming she even knows where home is. But if she returned home, Nora would ground her, or even worse, make sure Jenny wouldn't be able to fly out of town like that again.

But she and Jenny know well enough that Nora wouldn't deactivate Jenny or take away her ability to fly, but Jenny knew Nora would somehow find or create a way to restrict Jenny from leaving Tremorton unless there's a threat outside Tremorton that requires Jenny's assistance. Jenny stopped worrying about it, and began to let her system rest and her lunar and solar panels were ready to obtain energy from the moon and sun.

Tomorrow:

Jenny felt something or someone poking her. This sounds weird, considering that there was a time where she couldn't physically feel the touch of someone's hand, like when Brad and Tuck tried tickling her, but she can feel if something is touching her, but not something she could identify by sense. Here's a very weird analogy to describe it.

If someone were to put their palm on Jenny's shoulder and then someone where to put a piece of wood on Jenny's other shoulder, Jenny would not feel the difference between warm flesh on one shoulder and a block of wood on the other, it would feel relatively the same, an object touching her, that's as far as it goes. But back to reality, Jenny felt something poking her. She assumes it's a person, because there would be no other explanation as to how she's being poking repetitively without a person or animal interfering with it.

Jenny's eyes opened and she saw a man with a mustache staring down at her, trying to figure out what she is. This man is wearing an orange trucker hat with his thick mustache looking as if it was one from a cartoon, the overly-exaggerated mustache that lets the audience know that man is evil in some way. Except those mustaches are always straight with curly ends.

This man's mustache looks like a black, furry upside U. Jenny could see that the man is wearing two shirts at once, with a white long-sleeve shirt underneath a black t-shirt, making him look like he's wearing a homemade jersey for his local high school football team. Obviously, this wasn't made for fashion purposes, as it was made to protect the man from the chilly weather and eventually for the harsh upcoming winter, but Jenny doubts that two shirts would keep him warm from the snow.

Down to his legs, he's wearing jeans with brown boots as footwear.

"Hey." The man said in a southern accent, startling Jenny who was deep in thought about what to do next. "Are you hostile?"

Jenny didn't realize until now that this man is armed with a hunting rifle, the gun not pointing at her directly, but looks as if he's ready to shoot her if she were to try anything.

"No..." Jenny said, trembling.

Jenny never saw a gun before. Or, at least, never saw one in person. She's used to seeing blasters that shoot out lasers, but not something mechanical that's made of iron and wood.

Despite guns not being able to seriously harm Jenny, they can dent her and even damage her if she's been shot enough. With her exoskeleton being frail to rough collisions and fast-piercing objects after her near-fatal crash, a gun might be the most deadly thing she's seen at the moment, let alone a rifle. This man could end her with one shot to her core or right through her eyes and damaging her endoskeleton's mainframe at the head.

The man replied with a, "hmm..."

He stood up, keeping his rifle in his arms, not as an act of aggression, but as a safety precaution. His rifle makes a cling sound when it moves.

"Can you walk?" The man asked, his southern accent shining through the more his talks.

Jenny made an effort to get up while she put her solar panels away. "Yeah..."

"Good. Follow me." The man said before turning around, his rifle making another cling noise as he marched forward to two structures ahead.

Jenny hurried her way to the man after she forced herself to stand up. She could see that they were approaching a two-story house and a huge red barn. Jenny made the presumption that this man is a farmer or a rancher.

"I almost called the authorities to check you out, because I thought you were a UFO." The man broke the silence when he noticed that Jenny was by his side during their walk.

This man must have not been to Tremorton before, or watched the news on television about Tremorton, because Jenny often makes the news whenever she saves the day. But since he confirmed to her that he didn't go that far implies he does know who Jenny is, maybe to some extent, since everyone in Tremorton knew Jenny like she was a neighbor, meanwhile this man could be someone that only knows her from the news, assuming he even knows her at all.

"My name's Kenny." The man introduced himself to her. "And you are?"

1: XJ9.
2: Jenny.

---

1: XJ9

"I'm XJ9, but my friends call me Jenny." Jenny explains her actual name, but explicitly tells him about her preferred name.

(?) You told him your real name.

"Figured it was you. You match the one I see in the news." Kenny replied, implying that he knew she was the XJ9 all along.

2: Jenny.

"My name's Jenny." Jenny said in a friendly tone the best she could conjure, despite the circumstances.

"That's not what the news calls you." Kenny said.

(?) You told him your preferred name.

"They always refer to you as 'the XJ9.'" Kenny elaborated.

---

"You know who I am?" Jenny questioned, trying to find Kenny's alter motives, if he has any.

Jenny is rightfully paranoid to meet new faces with her line of work as a crime-fighting robot. She never thought humans would be something else until she met Melody, the robot that looks more human than Jenny ever will be, created by Dr. Locus, one of her enemies. Last time Jenny met her, she accused Melody of being evil, when she was actually trying to make amends with Brad and to Jenny as well.

But Jenny pushed Melody away, causing a temporary wedge between her and Brad's friendship. Kenny doesn't strike Jenny as the type with a secret agenda against her, given that his actions are very clear that he's protective of his property and was ready to shoot her if she tried to attack him and with his reluctance to contact the authorities, most likely Skyway Patrol, about Jenny crashing in his field. Regardless, Jenny still has her guard up, just in case Kenny is going to be her new enemy.

"I watch the news a lot. You're quite a topic to talk about in this state." Kenny explains,  finally looking her in the eyes. "Not really a positive one."

1: Great...
2: What do they say about me?
3: What's your opinion?
4:
...

---

1: Great...

"Great..." Jenny sulked.

2: What do they say about me?

"What do they say about me?" Jenny asked.

"Well, they say you're a terror to their money. Because all the things that break are coming out of our pockets." Kenny answers honestly.

3: What's your opinion?

"What's your opinion?" Jenny asked.

Kenny looked like he was going to tell her anyway.

4: ...

Jenny remained silent.

---

"Want to know what I think?" Kenny asked her.

"Sure." Jenny nodded.

"I think you're okay, a little bit. Just that you're doing a piss-poor job at being a hero." Kenny admits bluntly.

"You mean, I'm not being a proper hero?" Jenny asked, sounding offended that Kenny potentially refers to her as a poor-excuse of a superhero.

"Well, no. I think you got the hero part just right, it's that you aren't winning public opinion with all that collateral damage. Bad publicity makes heroes turn into vigilantes." Kenny elaborated on his view of Jenny as being a hero, just not publicly favored.

"Oh." Jenny's pigtails went down, being droopy, symbolizing that she's feeling down that her suspicion of being viewed negatively by the public outside of Tremorton is true. "But I'm okay to you?" She asks, desperate for some admiration from this redneck stranger.

"I guess." Kenny replied with a shrug. "I do know that without you, we'd be doomed to those robot aliens."

Jenny's self esteem rose, just by a small degree. At least Kenny is sensible about his thoughts on Jenny, instead of mislabeling her as a freak or menace to society. Aside from her self-confidence rising, Jenny was still hurting physically.

She limped next to Kenny.

"Kenny! Have you found out what was in the field?"

Jenny heard a feminine Canadian voice shout from the house.

"Yeah!" Kenny shouted back. "Don't worry about it!"

"Who was that?" Jenny asked.

"My wife." Kenny answered. "Her name's Juliette."

"Do you have any kids?" Jenny asked, taking an interest in Kenny's family.

"Two boys. Working on the farm while I do the common chores and stuff around here." Kenny replied.

"Oh, you're not a farmer?" Jenny asked softly, because she honestly expected him to be a farmer, he has the attire of one.

"No." Kenny shook his head. "This is Julie's farm."

They finally reached the house and farm. Kenny sets his rifle on the front porch, Jenny can only presume that Kenny was keeping it close by in case trouble were to occur. And that trouble could be Jenny.

Jenny doesn't blame Kenny for keeping his gun nearby, because despite all the goodness she's done, there's still the possibility of going rouge. This was proven during that one year where Jenny was controlled by a spoiled brat to ruin the holidays for everyone, and that lasted for one whole year. That was also the time where Jenny caught a glimpse of Nora drawing blueprints for an XJ10.

Jenny was glad she wasn't controlled long enough for Nora to construct another XJ model. Because that would've been an awkward introduction to a new sister when Jenny regained control again. But the thought of an XJ10 really makes Jenny wonder how would this XJ10 would be and what she would look like.

All of the XJ series have some similar relevance to Jenny and her look now. Since Jenny is the latest model of the XJ series and the most perfect one. If another XJ model was added to the series, this would have to be a major step-up from Jenny and be her successor.

Jenny doesn't think Nora would ever do that, unless Jenny is destroyed or has gone rogue for good. Hopefully, none of that happens. Jenny believes that if a XJ10 were to be created, it would be by someone else, not her mother, unless the first two reasons happen.

Jenny really wonders how Nora or anyone could ever outdo the XJ9. Aside from slight improvements, like making sure she doesn't rust in the rain and becoming water proof, there really isn't any other way to make the XJ10 better than the XJ9, at least, none that nobody knows of. Jenny watches Kenny opening his truck's hood to work on the engine.

1: What's wrong with the truck?
2: How's the farm life?
3: Where're you from?
4:
...

---

1: What's wrong with the truck?

"What happened to the truck?" Jenny asked, leaning close to watch Kenny grab his toolbox.

"Dunno yet. That's what I'm here to find out." Kenny replied, not bothering to look at her. "Probably the engine overheated or blew a gasket."

2: How's the farm life?

"What's it like to live on a farm? I know you aren't doing the actual farming, but I'm curious to know what it's like." Jenny asked, curious with all of this, because she's never been to the countryside before.

"Well, it just feels like growing up, but with a whole lot more chores to do, and that's just the outside stuff." Kenny replied and grabbed a wrench from his toolbox. "Since Julie is working on the farm and with the boys helping her, I'm the 'housewife' in the family."

3: Where're you from?

"Where are you from? Were you born in Illinois?" Jenny asked, putting her hands behind her back while she watched Kenny work.

"Naw, I'm from Florida." Kenny replied, grabbing his toolbox.

4: ...

Jenny patiently and silently watches Kenny grabbing his toolbox.

---

"I've noticed that you don't have any farmhands. Did something happen to them?" Jenny asked another question.

These are genuine questions she's asking. She isn't sure where her curiosity is coming from, but she's allowing it.

"Yeah, something did happen." Kenny replied, sounding a bit annoyed by that type of question. "They were laid off."

"Why?" Jenny tilted her head.

"Those damn taxes." Kenny growled as he was checking his engine. "With the governor of Illinois raising taxes to pay off the damages in Tremorton, we had to make some tough calls. The only people working on the farm right now are Julie and our boys. I can't do farming for shit."

Jenny's pigtails drooped again. As her fear was increasing, she began feeling more depressed, knowing that her recklessness caused Kenny's family farm to be understaffed. That's only one person she knows that's affected by her actions, there's probably more.

"You know, you're asking a lotta questions." Kenny acknowledges Jenny's increasing amount of questions. "How about I ask you some?"

1: [Allow]
2: [Refuse]

---

1: [Allow]

"Sure." Jenny nodded.

2: [Refuse]

"No thanks..." Jenny said, knowing that Kenny might not take refusal kindly.

Kenny sighed and resumed working on his truck.

---

---

[Refused Kenny's question]:

Kenny didn't look too affected by Jenny's refusal.

[Allowed Kenny to ask a question]:

"How'd you get into the field?" Kenny asked.

1: I crashed.
2: I was emotional.
3: I had a malfunction.
4:
[Keep quiet]

---

1: I crashed.

"I crashed there." Jenny replied.

(?) You were partly honest with Kenny.

"Figured you did. I was mostly looking for the specifics, but I guess that'll do." Kenny sighed, a bit disappointed with Jenny's answer.

2: I was emotional.

"I was having personal issues, and one thing led to another, and I just crashed..." Jenny admits softly.

(?) You were honest with Kenny.

"That so?" Kenny raised a brow to her. "Hope whatever's bothering ya is gone now."

3: I had a malfunction.

"I had a malfunction." Jenny fibbed. "I was just flying around and suddenly my pigtail jets ceased to function and I crashed."

(?) You were dishonest with Kenny.

"Really?" Kenny asked. "You, of all things, had a malfunction?" Kenny almost looks like he doesn't believe her.

"Yep. I know, it's embarrassing." Jenny lied again.

4: [Keep quiet]

Jenny looked down, not answering Kenny.

(?) Kenny noticed your silence.

"You know, if you aren't gonna answer me, then why did you even allow me to ask you a question?" Kenny asked, impatient and mildly irritable from Jenny's silence.

---

"Dammit." Kenny growled as he leaned further into the hood of the truck. "I need a light... Hey, can you give me a hand with a light?"

Jenny looked at the nearby flashlight. Despite it being so easily accessible, she could also just use her eyes as a flashlight as well.

1: [Use your eyes]
2: [Use the flashlight]

---

1: [Use your eyes]

"Okay." Jenny leaned close to Kenny and her eyes illuminated a more than sufficient light source for Kenny to see the inner workings of his truck.

(?) Kenny noticed that.

"Okay. Not exactly what I was expecting, but that'll do." Kenny said.

2: [Use the flashlight]

Jenny grabbed the flashlight and activated it, allowing Kenny to see the engine more clearly in his truck.

(?) Kenny noticed that.

"Thank you." Kenny got a better view.

---

"DAMMIT!" Kenny sighed. "Well, that's just great..."

"What?" Jenny asked, wondering if she did something wrong when providing him a light.

"I need a new carburetor for my truck." Kenny angrily slammed his truck's hood shut. "I'm gonna have to buy a new one."

"Kenny! Are you okay?"

Kenny noticed that his wife is coming to the door. "Shit! Get underneath the truck!" He whispered.

"Why?" Jenny asked, she never saw Kenny act this desperate during the few minutes since she met him.

"Just do it!" Kenny slightly raised his voice during his panicked whisper.

1: [Hide]
2: [Refuse]

---

1: [Hide]

Jenny quickly crawled underneath the truck. Kenny pretended to be putting his tools up, even though he already did, to fool the woman coming out of the house. Jenny silently dropped her jaw at the sight of this woman, who appears to be Kenny's wife, Juliette.

Jenny's eyes scanned Juliette to get her height, and the results came back as 7' 11", too close to eight feet tall. She's wearing a red-plaid t-shirt, red long hair and jeans similar to Kenny's jeans. Her boots even match Kenny's boots as well.

The tall woman walked down the front porch, approaching Kenny.

"What happened?" Juliette asked, her Canadian accent being more present than Kenny's southern accent.

"Damn thing needs a new carburetor." Kenny explains, having to look up at his wife, who is nearly two feet taller than him.

"Those are quite expensive." Juliette said, feeling somber at the expense of repairing Kenny's truck.

"We'll figure something out, Julie." Kenny replied, he almost attempted to put his hand on her shoulder, but that would require him to reach up high, and he would feel short if he did that.

Juliette smiled before scooping Kenny in a hug. She is holding him like how a child holds a very large stuffed teddy bear.

"Okay, hon, you don't need to hold on for so long." Kenny sighed, his arms and legs dangled as he was being hugged tightly by his wife.

She sets Kenny back on his feet. "Well, I'll get going. The boys will be out here soon."

Juliette walked over to the field.

"Hey, be careful of that large crater out there!" Kenny warned her.

Jenny crawled out from underneath the truck when Juliette was out of sight.

2: [Refuse]

"I don't need to hide. I'm not scary to anyone." Jenny said, not wanting to hide from a woman.

"Dammit, Jen, just--" Kenny was cut off by the sound of the front door opening. "Just keep your mouth shut and agree with everything I say... for your own sake."

Jenny dropped her jaw at the sight of this woman, who appears to be Kenny's wife, Juliette.

"We'll figure something out, Julie." Kenny replied.

Juliette noticed Jenny. "Who's this? A kid in a costume?"

"Yeah." Kenny fibbed, giving Jenny a 'go along with this, please,' look.

Jenny looked like she agreed with Kenny's statement, only partially, since she is a kid, in a sense.

"How'd she get here?" Juliette asked.

"She's a cosplayer about that robot in the news. She was walking to someone's house, but got lost and found her way here." Kenny fibbed. "I was going to give her a ride, but the truck wouldn't start."

"Well, nice to meet you..." Juliette leaned her hand to Jenny, but was trailing off, because she doesn't know Jenny's name yet.

"Jenny." Jenny grasped Juliette's hand. "My name's Jenny."

Juliette shivered from Jenny's cold metallic touch. "You're really dedicated to the costume."

Juliette lets go of Jenny's hand.

"Well, I'll get going. The boys will be out here soon." She walked over to the field.

"Hey, be careful of that large crater out there!" Kenny warned her.

"What was that about?" Jenny asked Kenny. "You panicked when your own wife was coming. Does she beat you?"

"No!" Kenny quickly reacted. "My wife's sweet and so friendly, she'd never raise a hand towards me or my boys."

"Then why were you panicking?" Jenny questioned Kenny.

Jenny was having the suspension that Kenny was hiding something, and it wasn't just her that he could be hiding.

"My family hasn't had a fond memory of robots..." Kenny admits, causing Jenny to flinch internally.

"Why?" Jenny asked.

"Have you heard of Armagedroid?" Kenny asked her.

"Yes, of course. I fought him twice." Jenny answered.

Kenny sighed. "Well... he almost killed us when my boys were only a year or two old, but he did kill a whole lot of our friends."

Jenny covered her mouth in shock. She knew Armagedroid caused causalities during his time before and after Jenny was created, but it was more horrifying to imagine that someone with a nice family like Kenny suffered the consequences of her mother's creation. This also brings up a scary thought of what would happen if Jenny kills a person.

Jenny's programming doesn't go out of its way to stop her from slaying a human being, but it gives her the moral dilemma when she is prompted with the option to either kill or spare someone. This means that if Jenny truly didn't care about human life, she could go on a killing spree and nothing could stop her, nothing that anyone knows of. Unless, of course, Jenny takes a devastating fall like she did last night, which would weaken her like she is right now, and become vulnerable to any other attack that she would be impervious to back at her full-strength.

Jenny's mind continues to digress when she notices that Kenny's mouth was moving and she wasn't paying attention to what he was saying.

"...and so a lotta people died and many more lost their homes and stuff." Kenny concludes.

"Were you just talking about Armagedroid?" Jenny asked, shamefully admitting that she wasn't paying attention.

"No, actually." Kenny answered, not feeling a slight bit of offense that Jenny was deep in thought when he was discussing a different tragedy. "I was talking about the meteor strikes in Maryland a few months back. I was just saying that tragedy was similar to the one with Armagedroid. As far as I saw on the news, the south side of that beach town was wrecked. Families broken apart and killed..."

Jenny remembered hearing about the 'meteor strikes' in the state of Maryland. Except, Jenny 100% believes that it wasn't meteors that attacked that town. Jenny can't really remember the name of the town, it had the word 'Beach' in it.

Anyway, Jenny doesn't think meteors hit the town, because she has a system in her room and integrated in her head to notify her when meteors are attacking the Earth. Which means that what happened was something else, perhaps a bombing, but the question remains, who could do that? Was it a terrorist attack?

Jenny still hasn't gotten the chance to fly over there and investigate the scene. Hopefully they hadn't started rebuilding that part of town yet, because it would contaminate the crime scene for her to investigate. Jenny intends to find whoever did it and make them pay for slaughtering innocents.

But now, she's powerless to do things like that, because she's still damaged from her recklessness last night. Speaking of which, Jenny notices how good Kenny is when he's working on the truck. The reason why that's relevant is because her inner chest cavity is similar to underneath a car/truck's hood.

Perhaps Kenny could repair Jenny's chest cavity. Jenny knows what needs to be fixed and what to do, but she can't repair herself, she needs someone.

"Hey, Kenny, can I ask you for a favor?" Jenny asked, becoming awkward with the redneck.

Kenny gave her a wary look. "Go on..."

"I'm damaged from crashing into your field. My chest cavity is badly damaged and I could use some help." Jenny replied.

"Whoa now." Kenny raised his hands up. "I'm not an engineer or scientist."

"You don't have to be one of those. I already know what needs to be fix and what tools are needed. I just need someone with a toolbox to help me. You're a person with a toolbox." Jenny pointed at Kenny.

"Okay..." Kenny scratched the back of his head. "Well, lemme see what's wrong."

Jenny laid down on the ground and opened her chest cavity, revealing her robotic innards. Kenny got down on his knees and inspected her insides.

"The hell happened here?" Kenny looked at the area where a part was missing with wires ripped out of her.

"Don't worry about that." Jenny said. "Just chest my power core and my endoskeleton's spine."

"There's stuff blocking them." Kenny said, feeling nervous about touching her parts.

"Just... move them." Jenny said, she was sure that she would be fine if Kenny put them back after he's done.

This felt like he was doing surgery on a person.

Kenny's hand went to touch her fuel tank that is full of gasoline. She often drinks gasoline and oil to fuel her rocket pigtails. When he touched it, he snapped his hand away.

"OW! Son of a--!" Kenny waved his hand in pain. "That's hot as hell!"

"Oh, I should turn that off." Jenny internally deactivated her fuel systems, because it's a waste of gas to leave it on and running when she can't fly at the moment.

Kenny was able to remove her fuel tank and push around some of her wiring. "Well, you definitely tore something off roughly. It's probably why you crashed in the first place."

Jenny sighed. "Just check my spine and core."

After minutes of moving her parts around, Kenny found and checked on her endoskeleton's spine. However, her core looked damaged.

"Is that your core?" Kenny asked, pointing at her most sensitive part, it's like her heart.

Jenny's eyes extended out of her sockets and moved to where Kenny's finger is pointing.

"Yeah, that's it." Jenny confirmed.

"Well, it looks damaged, but I'm not an engineer of some sort, so I don't know how bad it is." Kenny said. "The best I can do is to tighten some of your screws and possibly replace some of your gears at the store. But that'll cost money..."

1: You don't have to spend money on me.
2: Please?

---

1: You don't have to spend money on me.

"You know, you don't have to spend money on me. You can just do the stuff that won't cost you a thing." Jenny said.

(?) You didn't ask Kenny for help.

"Hmm... well, I could make a special case to help ya out, but it ain't gonna be for nothing. Don't worry, it won't cost you a limb." Kenny said as he began putting his tools up.

2: Please?

"Please?" Jenny gave Kenny puppy eyes.

(?) You asked Kenny for help.

Kenny sighed. "Alright, listen up..."

---

"I can buy the stuff to fix you up, and you can help me out by helping me do the chores." Kenny said.

"Great. Sounds easy enough." Jenny said, optimistic.

Kenny grabbed a piece of folded paper in his pocket and unraveled it. He hands the paper over to Jenny and her eyes widened.

"Oh..." Jenny said, surprised but calm. "That's a lot for one man..."

"I have until Monday to get all of that done." Kenny said. "Helping me out will give me extra time to fix up you and my truck."

"I have to do all of it?" Jenny asked.

"Naw, just some or half of it. That's really enough for me to have breathing room." Kenny said, giving Jenny some relief. "If you help me out, I can definitely help buy the stuff to help you and fix you up the best I can do."

"Great." Jenny said with a smile.

"We can take Julie's truck over to the John Deere store." Kenny said. "Lemme go get the keys."

Kenny went inside the house and came back out with the keys in his hands. Both Jenny and Kenny enter Juliette's car, which is just a White Silverado Chevy 2015. That's one of the differences between Kenny and Juliette, where Kenny prefers old fashion cars while Juliette prefers new cars.

Both Kenny and Jenny buckled their seatbelts and Kenny began driving off the farm and on the road. Jenny decided to spark some conversation.

1: Do you have a job?
2: How's your family?
3: How are you, Kenny?
4: How did you meet Juliette?

---

1: Do you have a job?

"Did you work before working on the farm, doing house chores?" Jenny asked.

"Well, I'm qualified to be a mechanic. The big reason why I haven't worked for being a mechanic is because the pay being reduced to where I might as well be flippin' burgers at McDonald's or Burger King to earn just below the amount I used to earn." Kenny sighed. "I got laid off last year. But I used to be a commercial fisherman."

"Oh, yeah?" Jenny said, a bit curious.

"Yep. To tell ya the truth, being a fisherman was basically a hobby, at first, because being a fisherman was 'hip' for men back in the day. You know, those old men who talk about catching the 'big one,' and telling you the story. But I discovered that fishing is just a matter of patience and dedication. I used to be the 37th most popular fisherman in America back in the day." Kenny said, taking pride in his younger days. "Aside from working on cars, I also fix up boats, too. I learned to be a mechanic because my dad had me help him fix up a dozen cars back when I was like ten or something. He convinced me to take classes and such in college to get me to become a mechanic like him. Let's just say he wasn't too thrilled when I decided to become a fisherman for a while."

"That's really cool." Jenny said, friendly.

(?) You learned about Kenny's careers and skills.

2: How's your family?

"How's your family?" Jenny asked. "I know you said that they have a bad history with robots, but how are they currently?"

"Fine, I suppose." Kenny said, keeping his eyes on the road. "Though, Julie's not doing too good lately."

"What's wrong with her?" Jenny asked.

"She's scared of crises." Kenny said, somberly. "After Armagedroid, she's scared of not just robots, but any natural disaster. Tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, you know, all of that kind of stuff haunts her. It's been haunting her ever since our boys were babies."

Jenny pitied Juliette of living with the fear of potential natural disasters on Juliette's shoulders. While it's normal for humans fearing their awareness of their own mortality, but to the extent of worrying about it excessively like Juliette is.

(?) You've taken an interest in Kenny's family.

3: How are you, Kenny?

"How are you holding up, Kenny?" Jenny asks.

"Oh, uh, I'm fine, considering." Kenny replied.

"Oh? Is everything alright?" Jenny questioned him further, trying to get a clear answer from Kenny.

"Well... not really. I'm just worried about losing the farm." Kenny admits. "With money being tight, I'm scared of not being able to pay the bills and being booted out on our keisters." Kenny pauses with a sigh. "We'd have to move to Canada with Julie's folks if that happens."

(?) You checked on Kenny.

4: How did you meet Juliette?

"How did you meet your wife?" Jenny asked.

"She was a tourist in Washington. I was up there during my time as a fisherman." Kenny replied. "She was originally visiting America because she was curious to see how different this country is compared to Canada. We met at a lake I was fishing at, she was asking for directions. I offered to take her wherever she wanted to go on my boat, and she accepted it. After hanging out for a while, we just fell in love. It is a bit emasculating to have a girlfriend/wife about two feet taller than you. Everyone makes jokes about her being my mom." Kenny explains with fond memories flooding his head, but with some embarrassing times in there, too. "And she's been a looker since there, too."

"Aw, that's cute." Jenny said.

(?) You learned how Kenny met Juliette.

---

Jenny sat there in silence for the rest of the trip to the store, processing and keeping notes on the information she learned from Kenny.

2 Hours Later:

"Well, that was a boring trip." Jenny said, dully when they got back to the farm.

"At least we got the parts." Kenny replied. "Damn, it's getting dark soon. Julie's gonna come back soon."

"Where am I going to sleep tonight?" Jenny asked.

Kenny looked like he was going to question Jenny being able to sleep, but he did find her knocked out this morning in his field. 'Sleep' may not be the best word for her to use, more like power down for the night to recharge.

"You can either 'sleep' in my truck, or in the barn. But if you sleep in the barn, you have to be up bright and earlier than me and my wife. She wakes up around 4:00 or 5:00 in the morning. I'll make sure to 'wake' you for when she's up and about."

Jenny had an idea. "You know, I can help do some of these chores while you and your family rest. That way it can get done and I won't be discovered."

"That's actually not a bad idea." Kenny agrees and hands her the paper that has his chores listened. "Just get as many as you can done before you get too tired. I can probably get the rest done before Monday and help fix you and my truck."

"Great. Good night, Kenny." Jenny waved at Kenny, who was walking upstairs.

"Good night, Jenny." Kenny said with a yawn, entering his home.

Jenny looked at the paper, she can hardly believe that Juliette expects Kenny to get all of that done by himself before Monday. Jenny's battery has more than enough charge for her to do pretty much all of them, or at least, all the hard ones. But doing so would risk her being more damaged than before, and it could have undesired consequences.

But doing all of it would help Kenny tremendously, free labor to give him much more breathing room to work on her and his truck. It's a tough choice, because if she does most/all of it, she'll be at risk of causing more damage, which might be something Kenny could not fix. And if she does the amount Kenny asks her, then she'll be fine, but Kenny would still have lots of work to do.

It's a matter of whether she wants to put her well-being first, or get in good with Kenny.

1: [Do what Kenny said]
2: [Do all of it]

---

1: [Do what Kenny said]

Jenny braced herself. She had to keep herself in check if she wanted to be repaired properly.

2: [Do all of it]

Jenny braced herself. She was going to ignore the risks, she felt like Kenny deserved all the help he could get.

---

Jenny began to get to work.

Tomorrow:

Jenny slept on top of the barn. She did have the option to sleep in Kenny's truck or the barn, but she liked the barn roof more. She would get more more moonlight and sunlight that way, and to avoid detection.

---

[Did what Kenny said]:

Jenny did everything she was supposed to do, and she's got enough rest and recharged.

[Overworked yourself]:

Jenny felt remarkably worse than she felt yesterday. She worked practically all-night and only got two or three hours of recharge.

---

"Hey! Jenny? Where are you?"

Jenny heard Kenny's voice. She stood up, stretched and jumped down from the roof of the barn.

"Yes, Kenny?" Jenny asked.

---

[Did what Kenny said]:

"Hey, I really appreciate you doing some of my chores for me. You have no idea how much it means to me." Kenny said, expressing his gratitude. "I definitely have the time to fix you up."

Jenny smiled. "Thanks, Kenny."

[Overworked yourself]:

"What did you do last night?!" Kenny asked.

"I wanted to help you out." Jenny said, tiredly.

"You did more than enough!" Kenny exclaimed. "You've more than earned a fix up from me!"

Jenny smiled. "Thanks, Kenny."

---

"Julie and the boys aren't in the house, they've started work early today. So, we can do the repairs there." Kenny said, welcoming Jenny into his home. "Just, uh, lay down somewhere."

Jenny laid down on the floor, opening her chest cavity as Kenny got his toolbox and parts he bought for her.

"Okay, I've never done something like this before, so let me know if I'm doing something wrong or if I hurt you." Kenny said, trying to assure her.

1: You'll do fine.
2: Just listen to me.
3: Try to be gentle.
4:
...

---

1: You'll do fine.

"I have faith that you'll be okay." Jenny said reassuringly.

(?) Kenny will remember that.

"If you say so." Kenny said.

2: Just listen to me.

"Follow my instructions, and everything will be okay." Jenny said, trying to assure Kenny.

(?) Kenny will remember that.

"Alright, then." Kenny said, unsure.

3: Try to be gentle.

"Whatever you do, be gentle." Jenny requested.

(?) Kenny will remember that.

"I'll do my best." Kenny complied.

4: ...

Jenny did not say anything, which made Kenny unsure.

---

Kenny took off Jenny's gas tank and was accessing her missing and damaged gears and parts. He removed the old stuff and began putting in the new parts.

---

[Did what Kenny said]:

"Well, looks like everything's coming together." Kenny said, nearly close to being done.

[Overworked yourself]:

"Well... I think something broke in here." Kenny said, inspecting her chest cavity.

"What does it look like?" Jenny asked, worried.

"Wires are burnt. Gaskets are broke. And there's like a chunk of parts missing here." Kenny said, taking a closer look. "I don't know what's supposed to be here."

Jenny knows what he's talking about. It's her radar. She remembered losing it after she crashed.

Aside from her missing radar, she did overexert herself last night, which resulted in her burnt wires and broken gaskets. Hopefully, if she's repaired enough to fly again, Nora would replace them, assuming she isn't grounded or worse.

"Just... ignore it." Jenny said.

---

After minutes of removing parts and replacing them with fresh, new parts, Kenny manages to restore most of Jenny's chest cavity with sheer luck. The only thing that wasn't repaired or fixed was Jenny's core. That is something beyond Kenny's skillset.

Not even Jenny knows how to repair her own core. Nora will have to do that.

"Well, I think I've done all I can." Kenny said, wiping his forehead with his hand, not removing his hat off his head.

Jenny wondered why Kenny never takes his hat off. She's never seen him without it on top of his head. Maybe it's fashion sense? Or maybe he's hiding something?

But Jenny's curiosity will have to wait, because he's already done her a bigger favor than she did for him, and she doesn't want to push him away by being nosy.

"Thank you, Kenny." Jenny thanked the southern redneck.

---

[Did what Kenny said]:

"No problem." Kenny replied, stretching. "It's the least I could do, after you've done for me."

[Overworked yourself]:

"I should be thanking you for what you did. I don't think I'd ever have this much freedom before." Kenny said, grateful for Jenny's assistance.

---

"Listen, you ever need a favor, you come to me about it." Kenny offered.

"Thanks, Kenny, I'll think about it." Jenny said, closing up her chest cavity.

"Alright." Kenny put away his tools.

Jenny went for the door. "Stay safe, Ken."

"You betcha." Kenny replied, going outside after Jenny went through the door and flew over, beyond Kenny's property.

Jenny flew up high again, like she did Friday night and was observing the area. She's trying to locate Tremorton. Luckily, she recalls what path she took to get here, before she crashed, and she retraced her steps all the way back to her home.

She softly lands on the ground and notices that the cracks on the street are still there, implying that construction workers haven't gotten started on it yet, but that also means those who drive on this street will have a hard time navigating to their destination, because of the road workers trying to repair Jenny's mess.

Ever since learning about Kenny and his financial issues, Jenny promises herself to be more careful and try her best not to inflict collateral damage. She wonders how many lives have been affected and/or ruined by her careless mistakes.

The thing about self-promises, they're easier to break than normal promises, but also debatable that they hurt worse than breaking a promise to a friend or loved one. Jenny was afraid of facing her mother again after her blow-up from Friday. Jenny didn't mean to yell or sound like she's had enough with her own mother, she just needed space and Dr. Wakeman wasn't going to give it to Jenny so easily.

Jenny recalls the times when she often had miniature blow-ups with Brad and Tuck, but those were different from what Jenny did two days ago. Jenny often vents her frustration of a particular issue out in front of Brad and Tuck, but Jenny vented a chunk of her main stress and depressing thoughts to Dr. Wakeman, which may have caused some undesired turmoil for the future. Jenny can only hope that her coming home isn't as severe as her mind makes it out to be.

Jenny just doesn't know what to do half the time anymore, except following her goal of protecting the Earth from danger. After the fall of Vexus and all of Jenny's regular enemies being reduced to occasional occurrences, Jenny is experiencing more human life and culture. Jenny recalled a time where she wished she had all the time in the world to become more human like the rest of the people in Tremorton, but now that it's here, she's uncertain if she really wanted it at all.

Jenny figured that there would be a time where all of the people valued her service to them and no longer label her as the scapegoat, but no such thing existed. Even after leaving for a while and showing the citizens of Tremorton how vulnerable they are from threats from outer space, Jenny still has to deal with high school bullies. One time, Jenny had the thought of just leaving Tremorton for good.

No, this wasn't what happened recently, Jenny just needed time away, like a mini vacation. Jenny's one-time thought of leaving was to leave Tremorton and never come back, alone. No, this wasn't when she was prompted to stay in Cluster Prime.

That option is always available to her, and she could even visit and stay for a few days before returning to Earth. Jenny's thoughts of leaving for good has never been fully developed, because she never figured out where to go. Cluster Prime would be her first option, but Nora would just go over there and beg for Jenny to come back, and might even bring her friends, too, to further convince Jenny.

Her second option would have to be a place where Nora wouldn't find Jenny, perhaps Kenny's place? True, his family wouldn't really like the idea of having a robot around, but at least they have an excuse to be uncomfortable and unfamiliar around Jenny, unlike Tremorton, who has known Jenny for over five or six years now. But living with Kenny would mean she would have to be working hard every day when she isn't fighting crime or in school.

Jenny thoughts were put to an end when she approached the door and braced herself for something upon opening it to step inside Wakeman residence.

"Hello?" Jenny said, trying to locate the nearest sentient robot or human in sight.

"XJ9!"

Jenny heard her mother's voice.

"Thank heavens you're alright!" Nora exclaimed and raced over to hug Jenny. "I thought something terrible had happened to you when you went off the radar."

Jenny was a bit taken aback by this. She knew Nora would miss her dearly, but she's waiting for her to stop with the preliminaries and punish her for shouting and running away for almost the entire weekend.

"I had an accident." Jenny said, opening her chest cavity to reveal her damaged core.

"Oh, my!" Nora exclaimed at the sight of Jenny's damaged core. "How did this accident happen?"

1: I crashed.
2: I forgot.
3: I wasn't thinking straight.
4:
...

---

1: I crashed.

"I took a nasty fall." Jenny said. "I'm lucky to still be functional."

"Yes, indeed." Nora agreed.

2: I forgot.

"I can't remember. I don't know what happened." Jenny shrugged her shoulders.

"Well, judging by the looks of it, it appears to have taken a massive beating. Perhaps being crushed is a little too hard for your own good, or some big nasty crash." Nora said, observing the damaged core.

3: I wasn't thinking straight.

"I wasn't thinking right, and I didn't pay attention, then I crashed." Jenny admits, leaving out the fact that she knows how to disable communication with Nora by tearing off the radar.

"Goodness! It appears this accident was near fatal." Nora exclaimed.

4: ...

Jenny didn't say anything but shrug her shoulders.

"I suppose I can see just how severe it is by looking at it." Dr. Wakeman said.

---

"I see that some of your parts have been replaced." Nora notices the repairs. "Who did this?"

1: I did.
2: Kenny did
.

---

1: I did.

"That would be me." Jenny said.

(?) Nora believes you.

"Really? You've studied your manual?" Nora asked, almost in disbelief.

"Yep." Jenny replied.

Nora almost squealed in excitement. "I'm so proud of you!"

2: Kenny did.

"I met this man who helped me." Jenny answered. "I possibly would still be damaged if it wasn't for him."

(?) Nora believes you.

"Really? I would need to have a talk with this man to figure out how he did it." Nora said, suspicious of this man.

"He only did the fixing part. I directed him and everything." Jenny confirmed, making sure Nora doesn't get any ideas of Kenny.

"You've studied your manual?" Nora asked, almost in disbelief.

"Yep." Jenny replied.

Nora almost squealed in excitement. "I'm so proud of you!"

---

Nora took a moment to calm down before continuing. "About what happened Friday..."

Jenny was waiting for this.

"What happened at school?" Nora asked. "You've never come home that angry before."

"It's just... everyone... Bullies, students looking at me, mean teachers, I just had enough." Jenny admits. "It's like a string of inconveniences that piled up until the 'big finale.' First, I trip downstairs, denting my head and having people laugh at me. Then, I have my locker vandalized and I currently have a replacement at school that is way smaller than my old one, making me look like a laughingstock again. Then, I keep seeing people pointing and whispering things about me that aren't nice at all... Then, the Crust Cousins showed up and did a low blow on me..."

"What did they do?" Nora asked.

"They... they brought up the time they mocked me on my birthday..." Jenny said, nearly tearing up. "Remember the day I came to school, feeling happy on my creation day?"

"Yes. You said everything turned out to be good." Nora said, surprised that Jenny's last creation day or birthday didn't go well.

"I lied so you wouldn't feel bad." Jenny admits. "They said, 'robots don't have birthdays' and called me a toddler, because I was only six years old!"

Jenny covered her eyes, hiding the small tears that would be shedding from them.

"I know I'm supposed to be tough, because this is just how 'life' goes, but I just don't think I can handle it anymore... I can't handle being a superhero AND a teenage girl!" Jenny raised her voice. Then she walked over and slumped on the couch near XJ1 and XJ3, who were watching Jenny reveal her stress and depression. "Sometimes I just wish I was actually human..."

Nora allowed Jenny to say all of this, and sighed before coming with a response. "Oh, honey... I'm sincerely sorry for this. I know I cannot undo all of these bad days and hurtful remarks from shallow bullies, but I think I could come up with something to help separate your heroic and your teenage girl lives.

"Oh yeah, how?" Jenny asked, not impressed by Nora's words, because she expected Nora to say a bunch of words and hoped for the best.

"That will be answered in time." Nora said, before retreating to her lab.

Jenny was confused now. She genuinely expected this to end up with her being grounded or, at least, getting a lecture of how irresponsible she was and how she could've been killed out there or if danger were to arise and she wasn't here to stop it. She'll take small victories like this when she could get them, but this one left her clueless.

One Month Later:

For the past month, Nora was hardly seen inside Wakeman residence. Jenny often sees Nora up for her morning coffee and saying good morning to XJ one through nine before going down to her lab, locking the door. Jenny obviously has the prowess to bypass the security and door locks in the basement, but her curiosity to see what Nora had in mind for her issues is stopping her.

Today, Jenny and the rest of her sisters were called down to the basement.

"Everyone! I have an announcement to make." Nora said blissfully from her hard work now being shown. "As of recently, I know you all have been comfortable with your lives and how your day-to-day schedules. Except, XJ9 isn't living this comfortable lifestyle when she has to face the struggles of protecting the world and fitting in with society. So, I've created a remedy for her issue, to help her life one life and not the other."

"Which is?" Jenny asked, raising a robotic brow.

Nora's creation was concealed by a simple white sheet. "Why, let me show you!"

Nora pulled off the sheet to reveal... a different Jenny?

"WHAT?!" Every single robot that could speak shouted as loud as they could when spotting this new Jenny.

This Jenny had the color red as her secondary color instead of blue.

"Meet XJ10!" Nora said, pointing her hands at the XJ10.

The new robot approached Jenny and extended her hand out for a handshake. "It's nice to meet you, little sister."
