He knows...

He knows where I came from...

He knows who I am...

He knows who I was...

And he won't tell me anything. Should have known. Typical of a bad guy.
Many questions swirled rapidly through my head, many had questions left without answers and a large variety of possibilities.
"How ironic that Sonic would bring me a pawn from the human world."
'The human world'
What does that mean? What's the human world? Where's the human world? Am I really from there? But I'm not a human, that's what Eggman was, I'm a hedgehog!
Is it possible that... I was a human before? If so, how did I become a hedgehog? How did I get myself of Möbuis? What about my family, friends, relatives? Are they worried? Are they okay with me being gone? Do they want me back?
Taking a staggering breath, I whip away my tears. "Why are you crying? Don't be a baby Zara."
I stop at my own words. Why did they sound... So familiar? A voice filled my head, repeating the words over and over. But they sounded like... A child's voice. My voice. Other kids...

"Go away Zara, no one wants you here."
"Why don't you just die, you reject."
"Your own father left and your mother hates you."
"What a loser!"

Tears tried escaping, I don't know who the voices belonged to, their harsh words tucked away somewhere in my memories. My heart swelled with sorrow and hurt, my head pounding as if it would expolde.

"Why are you crying? Don't be such a baby Zara... You're stronger than this, what they say doesn't matter."
My voice... I told myself that I was strong, but I'm not... I thought that if I cried, that made me weak. But I was already weak to begin with. Without me realizing it, I was slowly giving up on everyone. Everything. Myself. Not a signal image of my past flashed in my mind as the voice es spoke. No full memories, not many pieces of the seemingly never ending puzzle came together.

And just as I felt like I was going to break, the door busted open. My blurry gaze shot over, eyes widening to find that it wasn't Venice, coming back to mock me and tease. Instead the handsome blue hedgehog who I had grown fond over my stay in this world.
"Sonic...." My voice cracked as I dash over to him, practically tackling him to the ground in a hug. "Sonic!"

"Zara!" He hugs back, not even fazed by my tackle. "Thank God, you're not hurt are you?"

"Not physically, at the least." I respond, nuzzling myself into his welcoming, caring hold. All the hurt I felt not even seconds earlier vanished in the thin air, as if it never existed in the first place. "You came... for me.."

"Of course, I did promise, didn't I?" Sonic pulls us up to our feet, "C'mon, let's get you our of here. The others are dealing with Venice right now, how 'but we help out?" He offers his hand to me.
I look down at the ring on my finger, smiling softly before taking his hand. "Lets."

If it wasn't for our speed, it would have taken forever to get to the final floor. Thanks to our decent, I feel much more at ease, knowing we aren't so high in the air.
Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a tense fight between the two look-a-likes. By the looks of it, Silver was handling himself well in the fight, but my blood ran cold seeing two familiar faces fighting along side him.
Scourge and Eggman. The green pervert was fighting Shadow, and Eggman was sending his metal tin cans to occupy Tails and Haven.
Not even a minute passed before Sonic hurled himself into battle, smashing into some of the robots to protect Tails. I stood there, looking around, unsure what to do. I'll just get in everyone's way if I tried helping, but I can't let them fight alone–even though they got each other. Forget it, I'm helping even if they don't need it.
I dash over to Haven, knocking away a robot that was about to hit her from behind. The silver wolf turned to me, giving me a thumbs up, "Thanks!"
"Anytime." I wink at her before we go back to back, Haven summoning her ax.
"Next time some creep kidnaps you, remind me to bring explosives." Haven chuckled before lashing out.
Using my speed, I take out a few of the many bots that surrounded us. For a child, Tails was doing very well in his own fight. When I could, I would looked around to see how the others were fairing.
Shadow had it all under control, pounding Scourge into the ground, Sonic and Silver were busy with Venice, by the looks, they were winning.

Sonic smashed into Venice's gut, sending him straight into the wall, cracks sprouting from impact. Slowly he slides down the wall, the two male hedgehogs standing over him. "Ready to give up, Venice," Sonic asked, "or do we still need to pound some sense into you?"

The look-a-like smirked, "I'm not out yet, not by a long shot." His body began to glow a blue-ish color.

My body began to move on its own, floating up and shooting over to them. I smashed through Sonic and Silver, sending the two flying to the sides.

Next thing I know, there's dead cold metal pressed to the side of my head, an arm around my throat, pinning me to Venice. My back to his chest.

My blood froze, heart stopping as I hear a click.

"Zara!" Sonic started towards us, but stopped when Venice threatened to pull the trigger.  A low, dark growl escaped him. "Let her go, Venice, your business is with us. She has nothing to do with you."

"Nothing to do? Nothing to do! Ha! You care for her, that's all that matters. I warned you Sonic not to get in my way. I warned ALL of you! At first, I was only after Silver, but now..." He chuckled darkly, "Oh but now I'm after all of you!"

This guy is crazy! All of this, just because someone looks a lot like him. Insane! Absolutely insane!

Shadow had looked over, distracted long enough for Scourge to push up, pinning him down. A gun to the back of his neck. Tails and Haven had gotten caught, the robots holding them by the neck.

I looked around at them, fear pulsing through my veins. My friends were in trouble, but what could I do?

Emerald eyes met silver. My fear vanished slowly. I take a breath.

"Sonic.... Everyone, will you remember me? Promise to always remember me?" I asked, voice shaking. They all respond as I thought they would. Yeses and of courses.

Sonic nods, "There's nothing in the world that would make me ever forget about you."

I smile. He knew, I could tell by the look in his eyes. The tears spilling over.

"I love you, Sonic the Hedgehog..." My eyes slowly close, taking out the yellow Chaos Emerald that Sonic had given to me a while back. The final words slipping from my mouth like a silent stream, "Chaos... Control..."

In a flash of brilliant light, Venice and I vanished as he pulled the trigger.

Now I'll post on 'GreenDragon16's Important Book' the results of the next story I'll be working on, I do hope you go check it out because depending on the winning book, I may have another poll for story titles (mainly for the X Readers).
