Kie's POV:

The door opened and my parents walked in and saw me holding the baby. My mom came over to me and she hugged me before acknowledging the baby. She asked, "How is my baby?"

"I'm good, mom" I said

"And how is my grandbaby?" She asked looking down at my daughter

"She's perfect" I said handing my mom the baby

My dad stood next to my mom and they both had tears in their eyes. 

"You are so beautiful. You have your mommy's hair with daddy's eyes" My mom said admiring her granddaughter

"What's her name?" My dad asked

I took a breath and said, "Jayla James Maybank"

"That's beautiful, Jayla James Maybank," My mom said smiling at the baby

She smiled at me and handed my dad the baby and he started crying. My mom hugged me and said, "I am so proud of you"

"Thanks mom" I said quietly 

My dad was talking to Jayla and he said, "She really is beautiful. She has a lot of JJ in her"

"Yeah, she does" I said fighting back tears in my eyes

My parents were admiring their granddaughter and this is the part where JJ should be standing by me watching my parents excited about becoming grandparents. My mom and dad stayed for a few more minutes and then they left so Sarah, Cleo, and Pope could come back in with John B.

They all came in smiling and Sarah hugged me and John B picked the baby up. 

"I love you" Sarah said

"I love you too" I said back

John B put Jayla in my arms and I said, "Meet your niece, Jayla James Maybank"

Sarah was in tears hearing her name as John B passed her the baby and she looked at me and asked, "Can I?"

I nodded yes and she said, "Hi, JJ... I'm your auntie Sarah"

Sarah was crying holding her niece and all had tears in our eyes hearing her call the baby JJ. It was something JJ had joked about years ago when we were still in high school. We were all saying baby names we liked and JJ looked at everyone and said, "You guys gotta admit, JJ's a pretty sick name. It's just two J's and it works for a boy or a girl"

Everyone laughed and Pope asked, "Wouldn't that be confusing having a kid named JJ and you being named JJ?"

"Nah, kid would have a real name with two J's"

It's funny, back then he didn't know his legal name was Jackson James as Luke never showed him his birth certificate. Luke only changed his last name to Maybank which I'm happy about. Luke was a shitty father but he never murdered his son like Groff. 

Pope held Jayla and so did Cleo and they all loved her. My parents came back in and the room was packed with everyone who loved me and my baby. I knew JJ was here too, not physically, but he was here. 

A nurse came in to tell me that visiting hours were over and it was time for everyone to leave. Sarah looked at me and asked, "You sure you're going to be okay all by yourself tonight?"

"Yeah, I'm not alone anymore, I've got my girl" I said looking at the baby asleep in John B's arms

Pope and Cleo left first and my parents were right behind them. I looked at Sarah and said, "Hey, I love you and I hope you know that and don't feel offended that I wanted John B in here and I hope you're okay that he was in here considering he literally watched me give birth. I know that is something he was supposed to experience with you for the first time, not me."

"Kie, it's okay. I didn't want you to give birth alone and JJ would have wanted John B here to help you. I know you guys are best friends and he's her godfather. She's going to need John B and Pope in her life"

"Sarah, I didn't get the chance to properly as you earlier, but would you be her Godmother?"

"Really?" Sarah asked

"Yes, if anything ever happens to me there is no one else I'd want to leave Jayla with"

Sarah started crying and she said, "Don't ever say that again, but I promise if that did happen to love her as my own daughter. I do love her as my own kid now"

I hugged her and we cried together and then John B handed me Jayla and they left. I was all alone with my baby girl. I started to breastfeed her before bed. 

"It's just you and me, Jayla" I said looking down as my daughter

"I love you, so much and so does your daddy" I said lightly kissing her head

I got her all ready for bed and a nurse came in to check on us and I laid in bed watching TV and admiring my daughter. I got to go home the next day and John B and Sarah drove us home. I sat in the backseat and when we got there, John B took the car seat out of the car. I knelt down and picked Jayla up and said, "We'll be in soon"

John B and Sarah smiled as they knew I was going to JJ's grave. I was standing over the grave with tears in my eyes as I said, "JJ, meet our daughter, Jayla James Maybank... Jayla, this is your daddy, JJ - Jackson James Mayank"

I sat down on his grave on the grass and I said, "She has your eyes, Jayge. She's absolutely perfect. I wish you were here for this"

It was at that exact moment there was a large gust of wind on a very calm day and Jayla opened her eyes and I said, "Hi, Jayge" as I knew that wind was him

I said goodbye and I brought Jayla inside and smiled. Our baby was going to grow up in the house her dad grew up in, but this house was finally going to get the happy ending it deserved. 

"Welcome home, Jayla" I said looking around and walking over to the couch where I sat looking at the precious baby in my arms
