Day 16

Ooh, unlucky 13... That's weird, I'm feeling pretty lucky at the moment.
Anyway, when Harrison and I broke apart, we were both grinning like maniacs. Reluctantly, we stepped out of the sea, and I looked at Harrison, "How are we supposed to face a modern masquerade now?!" I asked, seeing as we were both now soaking wet.

When we got out of the water, Harrison hauled me over his shoulder, and I yelled in astonishment. "Don't you want to be carried right now, rather than walk in soaking wet clothes along a beach?" he asked me.
Dropping me to the ground I sighed with relief. But he wasn't finished. Bending down, he told me to jump on.

Walk back soaking, or injure myself by jumping on your best friend's back?! Without considering it very much, I jumped on Harrison's back. He set off in a run, and I squealed. "HARRISON!" I yelled as he ran across the beach, me clinging onto his back.
Still running, he shouted over his shoulder to me, "So are we good now? Boyfriend and girlfriend again?" I stopped screaming with fear and excitement, enough to answer.
"Yeah, always," I answered softly, leaning over to kiss the top of his head.

This was clearly a bad plan, seeing as he nearly toppled over. But he was smiling.

When we finally got back to the building, we ran into a side exit, where  there was a huge room."What are we supposed to do now?" Harrison asked me, meaning that we couldn't go into a wedding masquerade drenched. I scanned the room, and my eyes fell onto a huge pile of costumes. I mean, it's a huge room where loads of people perform for shows, there's gotta be something here (that fits) right?

Sadly none of them were for the wedding, nor were they suitable, but that was our only option. Grabbing the first costume, I flattened it out and burst promptly out laughing. It was a two-person llama costume. "I dare you to wear that, " Harrison told me.
"You do know that you're going to have to wear this with me, then?" I told him, grabbing the llama costume. "And you're the bottom half. "
"Fine," Harrison agreed.

I'm not gonna go into details or something, but those two-person costumes are really hard to put on. After much yelling as we kept knocking each other over, Harrison and I left the room. Yes, I am well aware that this is one of the most embarrassing things I've ever done. I mean it can't get more embarrassing than technically 'gate-crashing' a wedding party, which happens to be incredibly formal, whilst wearing a two-person llama costume, right?

It took a while to even get out of the room, let alone walk around a modern masquerade! After a considerable amount of effort, Harrison and I managed to get down the corridor. "One, two, three, GO!" Harrison whispered to me. On 'go', I pushed the door (that lead the way into the ballroom where all the guests were) open.

As soon as we entered the room, I heard a massive gasp from seemingly half the room. I could already feel a huge red blush creeping its way up my neck. And then I heard a familiar squeal. "Oh my gosh! It's a llama!!" Elsie squealed. Oh no. She's not going to...

I heard running footsteps, and then my cousin ran at me, knocking me over. I fell onto Harrison, who fell onto the floor, with Elsie on top of me. By then, I knew that a lot of people would be staring. I didn't have to look through the huge see-through eyes, to know that this would be embarrassing if my face was visible. Outraged whispers flew around the room, and I muttered to Harrison. "Well, no one will ever know that it's us, anyway," and he nodded, with a grin.

The noise was getting louder and louder, as people gossiped about who was behind the llama costume. Just as I thought that we would have to come clean, and take the costume off, so as to stop the constant whispers, Brandon's voice rose over the debate, "I'll take care of this llama."

"You owe me three watermelons," he told me and Harrison in low voices. I groaned, but answered, "Fine." Sometimes I wish that Brandon would have a slightly less expensive food obsession. Watermelons are expensive, you know! Mind you, I would have paid him anything to get me out of that room..
