Finny quietly crept out of the room he shared with Bard and Snake, heading to Meyrin's room. He quietly knocked. Meyrin opened the door, rubbing her eyes. When she saw tears streaming down Finny's face, she pulled him into her room, closing the door. She made him sit down. She picked up her blanket and wrapped it around him. She then took the seat next to him.

Finny curled up and leaned into her side. It wasn't that first time he had gone seeking out her comfort in the middle of the night. Finny often had nightmares of the lab, and Meyrin always comforted him while he cried.

Meyrin rested her chin on the top of his head, wrapping her arms around him as he sobbed onto her shoulder. Meyrin  whispers calming things to him. She gave him a kiss on the top of his head, just like an older sister would.

Finny calmed down after while, still clinging to his friend.

He was glad he was out of that horrifying lab. But he was even more glad that he was able to make such wonderful friends.
