Nightmare (Short Story
Blood stained the blond American's shirt. The crimson a pretty color, yet it's doings signified a life diminishing. Through the glasses, Alfred's baby blue eyes stared up at the sky. His head fell to the side, not because he had gone limp quite yet, but because he wanted to face his sister one last time. Even though she's the one that took a knife to his stomach, he knew he deserved it. His eyes glanced up at Alex, ignoring the crimson liquid dripping down her knife.
"I'm sorry," Alfred whimpered, "I really screwed up, I know. I can't really blame you. Even though you kinda killed me, you're still my sister, I-I still love you."
Alex only stared back at her brother, hands shaking. She couldn't believe what she had done. Her own brother, gone, because of her.

Alex bolted up, wide eyed. Her whole body shook uncontrollably as sweat trickled down her forehead.
"J-Just a dream," she whispered to herself, hugging her knees. "J-Just a dream." she repeated.
But still, even if it was just a dream, it was enough to scare the heck out of her. She could never stand the thought of losing her brother, no matter how annoying he may get.

Alex poured the cereal into her bowl. Yet, when she heard the noise, she stopped, putting the cereal box on the table.

Alex walked over to the sideboard, silently picking up one of her kitchen knifes.
"Who's there?" she called. No reply. "I'm not fucking around, who's there?"
She growled quietly, becoming quite on edge. She rose the knife as she stepped into the living room. Within seconds, she was tackled. She went wide eyed, raising her knife to stab her attacker. Then, she realized it was her brother, Alfred Jones, and he had simply tackle hugged her. She gasped, quickly dropping her knife.
"A-Alfred!" She yelped. "What the Hell have I told you about sneaking up on me?!"
Once again, the young French girl shook uncontrollably. She couldn't believe that one of her nightmares had just almost come true.
"Not happy to see you big bro?" Alfred grinned. "Clearly not! I mean! You almost freaking stabbed me!" He laughed.
Alex glared, shoving him away, still shaking. "I-It's not funny!" She snapped. "This is why you can't sneak up on me!"
Tears filled the New Orleanian's eyes. Alfred frowned and once again pulled his sister into a tight hug.
"Look, I'm sorry," Alfred whined. "I won't sneak up on you again, promise."
"That's what you said last time." Alex grumbled.
