Good Bye, Dear Friend (Short Story)
I cried while writing this...
------
Grell checked to make sure the cost was clear, checking to make sure everyone else was gone. He realized with what he did, no one else close to the madame would be pleased to see him. And he just couldn't find the words to properly justify his actions at the moment.
When he saw no one else was alone, he headed over to to the newly placed grave stone.
Angelina Dallas
Huh, Grell thought. It's almost weird seeing her actual name. She's almost always been known as Madame Red.
He sighed softly, laying the red roses across her grave stone.
"I'm sorry," he mumbled, tears swelling up in his eyes. "I just thought what I was doubt was merciful... I didn't want to see my friend be any more heart broken." He sighed, staring off into the distance. "I'm crazy, aren't I? You probably thought we were nothing more then partners in crime. Sorry for insulting someone as wonderful as you with calling you some lowly persons friend." A tear rolled down his cheek. "Even so, I'll miss you. It was nice having someone to relate to." More tears streamed down his face. "Ma-maybe when I get my retirement and die, we fan meet in another life, on different terms, wouldn't that be n-nice?"
He hid his face in his hands, weeping silently.
"Goodbye, my dear friend. You are very missed."
