Drunken Frenchie (Short Story)
It was next to impossible to get Alex drunk, however, it had somehow happened tonight. And it was miserable to watch. Currently, she was just sitting down, her face hidden in her hands. Than, Alfred made the mistake of asking:
"Sis? You alright?"
Alex looked up and shook her head. "Non..."
"Need a hug?"
"Oui."
Alfred wrapped his arms around his sister, hugging her tightly.
Alex sighed, resting her chin on her brother's shoulder before chuckling quietly.
"We don't really get along unless I'm drunk, do we Alfie?" A sad smile appeared on her face. "I remember when we were kids. We always got along than. But now, non." Tears swelled at the corners of her eyes. "I'm sorry..." she whispered, tears rolling down her cheeks. "I haven't been the best little sister... b-but I still love you..."
Alfred shook his head. Yes, Alex was nicer to him when drunk, but it was just miserable and sad to watch. It drove him crazy.
"Dika!" He called, finally not being able to handle it. "Can you come watch Alex for a quick second?"
"Da, sure." Dika replied, walking in. When Alfred walked out, she took the seat next to Alex. Noticing the tears streaming down her friends face, she leaned over, gently wiping the tears away.
"What's wrong Blue? You look... Blue."
This comment that would have normally made Alex crack a smile only formed more tears in Alex's eyes.
"Silver, your one of the best things I got. You know that? You never abandoned me... you never judged me. You were always there. And you always put up with my annoying rants. I don't deserve you as my friend Silver, I don't get why you stay with me... I'm impossible to deal with."
Dika sighed, getting up. She picked her friend up. "Come on Blue. Let's get you to bed so you can sleep this off." She sighed, not being able to handle seeing Alex so miserable either.
