Don't Hurt Gil (Short Story)
Gilbert was drowning, quite literally. The poor small boy had been captured by the villagers again, they all thought he was a demon. They tried to burn him earlier, but the most it did was leave him with a few burns and shorter, now scorched hair. The small albino gasped for air as he was pulled out of the water and to the surface. He looked around to find his brother, Roderich, and best friend, Elizabeta. Elizabeta was holding a knife, yelling at the villagers, while Roderich hugged Gilbert tightly and protectively, seeming he was never the fighter.
"He's just an albino! Get a grip! And never, ever, ever hurt our Gil again!" Elizabeta yelled at villagers, everyone staring at her, surprised a little girl could be so... scary.
Roderich helped Gilbert up and started dragging him off, Elizabeta jogging after them once she was done terrorizing the villagers. Once they got to Elizabeta's house, Roderich made Gilbert sit down while Elizabeta wrapped a blanket around Gilbert. After treating Gilbert's burns, and cutting out the burnt hair (Though Elizabeta's brother Vladimir did that, seeming Roderich wanted to cut the albinos hair with safety sizzors, and Elizabeta wanted to use a knife) The three were cuddled up by the fire place under a blanket, Gilbert between Roderich and Elizabeta so he could warm up faster. During all this, Vlad was singing a Romanian lullaby for his little sister and her friends.
