Prolouge

The battle was bloody. The scent of decomposing bodies on the battle field. The cries of women and children heard in the distance. The cries of the king heard as he held the body of his prized champion in his arms. "She fought the battle...and won my country back..." the young woman that was the champion died protecting the king after he carelessly turned around. "Maybe if I didn't turn around you would still be alive..." he sobbed into her armor and saw something under his friends body.

"What is this..." he picked up a circular thing on a wrist band. It had numbers in the circle that went from 1-12. On it there was a note, it was written in his knight's handwriting. The neat cursive stood out to him as he read. All it said was; 'Rewind, Rethink, Revive' he took the object and put it on his wrist. "Your majesty!" Called the queen as she saw him kneeled by the body. She wrinkled her nose in disgust as she held up a splotch on her gown. "Look! After that stupid knight protected me I got a splash on my favorite gown-" the king lept up in the middle of putting on the object and the next thing in the dead silence that was heard was the ringing sound of a smack.

The kings eyes made the queen kneel to the ground and apologize. "I planned to marry her after this!" The queen's eyes widened, "Wait...so you were going to divorce me..." the queen lept up in anger and kicked the body of the knight. "GET.AWAY.FROM.HER!" The king yelled at her and grabbed her wrist. He bent it back and broke it. Almost like it was made of glass. His knight on the other hand...he could barely win against her in an arm wrestle. The scream of pain was almost unbearable as the king took the sword of his beloved knight. He smiled softly at the sword and plunged it in his heart. "Now to finish this..." as he was falling he rewinded a knob on the circle.

He saw previous events flash before him. Including his knights death flash before him. As he felt himself hit hard ground he saw the beautiful smile of his dear knight. "Looks like you used the watch..." her face darkened. "You know there is a price...you were supposed to change the past before the war!" His champion lectured him yet all he could do was smile. "Please when you see me turn around do not protect my back." He gave her the watch and wrote something on the back of the note the watch came with.

"As long as you aren't in danger...sure..." she smiled and pulled out her sword. 'I wish I could see that smile everyday for the rest of my life...' he smiled sadly and hugged her one last time. "I love you..." he whispered as her face exploded in red. He walked away to face the opposing king, and let the sword run him through. He saw the face of his knight. That's it.
