Chapter 4: A Kidnapping

" The Queen's Guard Dog, tasked with disposing of anyone who disagrees with her. Just how many nicknames do you have? And how many families have you crushed, Ciel Phantomhive? "

You slowly regained your consciousness, feeling slightly tired. You sat up but couldn't move your arms or your legs. When your vision cleared, you looked down at your body and saw the belts tightly wrapped around your arms and legs. Beside you, Ciel sat with the same restraints, but there was dry blood on the corner of his mouth and underneath his nose.

" I thought it would be you. You shame your family Azurro Vanel. "

You looked in front of yourself and saw one of Ciel's earlier guests. His blonde hair was pulled back, and there were four piercings on his left eyebrow and three on both of his ears. He lit a cigar and held the giant smoke in his mouth. You remained calm as the conversation kept a steady pace.

" Come now. . .my little Lord Phantomhive. Do you know how hard it is for the Italian mafia here? You Englishmen have nothing but tea on the brain. "

The man walked closer and crouched in front of Ciel, still holding the cigar in his mouth.

" It's difficult to penetrate those small minds of yours, so we have to think outside the box to make money. So we found the drug trade. "

" The Pharmacy Act of 1868 listed opium as a restricted substance. It is the queen's decree and I will eliminate those drugs and the vermin who sell them. " Ciel said with a blank look.

The entire situation looked like it didn't affect him, and he almost looked bored.

" You know, this is why I hate Englishmen. The Queen this, the queen that--the way you act, you would think she was your own mother. "

Azurro reached forward, took Ciel's chin within his hand, and brought his face closer.

" You line your pockets while pretending the whole time you're better than the rest of us, but in the end, we're no different from each other. Why can't we get along? "

" I've left orders about your key if I don't come back, my servants will make sure the authorities get it. I'm sorry, I have no interest in 'getting along' with someone like you. "

The man pulled a pistol from his pocket, stood up, and pointed it at Ciel. You felt nervous seeing the gun, but you remained calm.

" You rat! Don't underestimate me! My men are already waiting at your estate. Spit it out soon, or your servants will start dying one by one. "

You looked towards Ciel and saw him tilt his head and smile at Azurro.

" Oh, I think they'll be all right, but you had better hope your ap dogs know how to fetch. "

Azurro raised his foot and kicked Ciel in the face. Ciel flew to his side, and blood seemed to drip from his nose.

   " Ciel! "

Azurro turned towards his telephone while you worried over the man who had been kicked.

" Did you hear that? The time for talk is over. "

Azurro hung up the phone and looked toward one of his men inside the room.

" And where is the buyer? Is he here yet? "

" He is. The buyer is waiting on the first floor. "

" Good, take the girl down there and perform the exchange. "

   ' What!? '

One of his men nodded and started making his way towards you. But, unfortunately, you were already pressed against the wall, and you couldn't move, or your restraints would tighten.

" And what would you be doing with her? You don't only deal in drug trafficking? " Ciel asked.

" Heh, well, Englishman, I've found a great price for her. I found a buyer that is going to pay a pretty high price for her. It seems he's here. "

Your eyes widened as the man lifted you and threw you on his shoulder. Due to the belts, you couldn't move, and the lapdog started to carry you out. You looked up, and your eyes met Ciels. Ciel was calm before, but this seemed to make him anxious.

" She has nothing to do with any of this, why bring her here? "

" Because she is a witness to all of this. She knows everything now about my little business, and. . .she earned me a pretty big amount of money. Why not kill two birds with one stone? She  won't  speak of this, due to her buyer, and she got me lots of cash. "

The man got closer to the door, and you felt your heart rate increase.

   " Ciel. . ."

" Just wait, Y/n, you will be back at my manor, in time. Have faith in the Phantomhives. " He said, looking at you.

The man walked out of the room, leaving you to do nothing but be carried down the stairs. Your hands were tied behind your back, and your legs were tied together, leaving you defenseless against the man. The lapdog carried you down the stairs and into the first room on the left, where another man was waiting for you. The man was tall and thin, and he had a clean face. His brown hair was gelled back, and his suit looked freshly pressed.

"  Here she is, now hand over the money before you take her. " The man said, setting you down on the floor across from the buyer, who sat on a couch.

   " Here. "

A small bag was placed on the table between the couches, and it was quickly taken by Azurro's men. The buyer stood up from the sofa and walked towards you, kneeling on the ground.

   " You're mine now, sweetheart. "

   " I belong to no one. "

You spat on the man's face and received a hard slap. The slap threw you off balance, and your head collided with the floor. Your vision became blurry for a moment, but you stayed conscious.

   " She a fierce one. "

" And you're a rude man, who thinks I am something to be bought. I see no difference between you and a child claiming something that isn't his. "

That comment earned you a kick to the face, and it pressed you against the wall harder. The knock against the wall caused your consciousness to fade. You tried to stay awake, but you knew you wouldn't be able to. Before you passed out, you heard men shouting and guns firing. You could have sworn you saw Sebastian before your mind completely faded away.

When you started to regain consciousness, you were aware of the arm that held your back up and underneath your knees. Your head was resting against someone's chest, and the person was taking you somewhere. The restraints were gone, and your limbs were free. You didn't open your eyes in fear that it was the person who bought you. You figured that if you could remain asleep and trick the man, you would have a better chance of escaping.

" What? You don't believe what your master tells you? "

You recognized the voice and opened your eyes. You looked up at who was carrying you and recognized Ciel. Sebastian was walking beside the young earl, and in front of you were Finny and Mey-Rin.

   " Oh, no. . .we do! " Mey-Rin responded.

" You and Y/n just look so cute together, with you holding her and all. " Finny said, finishing Mey-Rin's sentence.

" Stop looking at me like that! Honestly. . ."

" Umm, what exactly. . .happened? " You spoke up.

Ciel's gaze followed from his servants down to you. His face had been cleaned of the blood, and his clothes were cleaned.

   " Y/n, you're awake. "

" Yes, but I am a little confused. I don't exactly remember what happened. How did we get out of there and what happened to the man who kidnapped us. "

" Don't worry over those matters. You are safe now, and we have just arrived back at my manor. Sebastian! "

   "Yes, master? "

" Prepare a small dinner, and deliver it to my office. "

" Yes, my lord. I will be swift. "

Ciel nodded and continued to walk to the manor. Sebastian opened the door and let Ciel walk inside before going to the kitchen and preparing dinner. Ciel carried you to his study and entered his office. He set you down on a chair in front of his desk, and he sat beside you.

" I apologize for the events that occurred today. It was not intended for you to be in danger while you stayed at my manor. "

" I just want to understand. . .how did we get out of there? "

Ciel only chuckled before raising a finger to his lips and smiling at you mischievously, as he had done earlier with Azurro.

   " That's a secret, my lady. "
