Yumi mentally cursed at herself for stuttering. When has she ever stuttered because of him? God why is he dressed like this today? His dress shirt exposes a small bit of his chest, which for some reason is making Yumi's heart beat faster.

"You're leaving?" Asked Shinsou, a little surprised at seeing his neko neighbor with bags in her hands.

"Yeah, a camping trip for a week."

"Why?"

"Um...well it's a quirk thing..."

Shinsou accepted that answer for now, knowing something else was going on.

"Wait! Isn't...wasn't your admirer going to show himself tonight?"

"Yeah but he's going to have to wait."

Shinsou laughed a bit before saying "that's kinda harsh though isn't it?"

"Look Shinsou I really don't have time I gotta go before-"

Shinsou walked towards her until they were mere inches apart. Yumi dropped her bags in shock, a little breathless at seeing him so close.

"H-hitoshi....what are you-"

"I'm the admirer Yumi."

Her stomach did flips as she started blushing. Shinsou likes her? Why does he like her? And why...why does she like the idea that he wants her?

"I-I....I don't know what to say."

"Say you'll go out with me Yumi. I want to be with you without having to fight you for attention. I just want us to be together." He gently held her hands, waiting for her answer.

Yumi on the other really wasn't sure what to say. She didn't want a mate out of fear. But she wanted Shinsou. She wanted to be with him since they were kids. That was why she fought with him so much. She hoped if they fought enough he would never want anything to do with her. And yet, he was here, confessing that he always liked her.

"Hitoshi, I-" all of a sudden she felt a pain in her stomach. She lurched forward, her head on his chest as she started breathing heavily.

"Yumi? What's wrong?"

"I g-gotta leave."

"Is it because of what I said?"

"N-no it's just- ugh!" Pain hit her again, this time slowly travelling down until she felt like her body was throbbing. She let out a small whimper before ripping herself from his grasp.

Shinsou walked towards her as she backed away, picking up her bags. "Yumi..."

"Stay away!" She yelled. Shinsou stopped in his tracks, hurt by what she said.

"But-"

"D-Don't follow me!"

Yumi took off running, running as fast she could could to the abandoned park. Shinsou on the other hand was frozen in place. Stay away? Did she really hate him that much? He felt a pain in his chest, hurting from his rejection by Yumi. He rubbed his face with his hand in frustration before heading back to the dorms.

'I was stupid to think she'd change her mind just because of me.'

'But why did she tell me to stay away? Like I was some kind of monster...'

Shinsou was back in his room, not caring to hang out for the dorm's movie night. He just wanted to be left alone.

No. He just wanted Yumi...
