I was standing outside of the tavern staring up at the blue sky as white fluffy clouds pass by. The wind blows through my hair making it fly around. I stretch out my arms feeling the strong breeze against my face.

"(y/n)! Are you crazy?! Get back in here before you fly off!!!" Hawk shouts to me standing by the door as steam fumes out of his snout.

I look over my shoulder as I obey running back inside with a smile on my face.

"Sorry sorry, I just wanted to get outside and stretch because in all honesty sitting here all day is pretty boring," I state running my fingers through my (h/c) hair.

"I get that it can be a bit boring since we aren't working but we should be in a village soon. I hear they are under a Holy Knight's command," Hawk responds with a serious look in his eyes. I pat the top of his head.

"Can I trust you to protect me if something happens?" I joke as I continue to pat the top of his head.

His aura began to glow as he sticks his snout up in the air.

"You can count on me (y/n)!" He says as pride filled his voice.

I laugh at his response thanking him as I leave him to go to the girl's room and just try to sleep maybe. I walk up the stairs and as soon as I had laid my hand on the doorknob I heard Elizabeth on the other side and had opened the door before I could.

"Oh (y/n)! What made you come back to the room?" She asks with a soft smile on her face.

"I think I should be asking where you, little missy, are going," I retort back with a smirk on my face.

"Wha?! What do you mean?! I was just going to check up on Master Meliodas!" She remarks with a blush covering her face.

I smirk crossing my arms.

"Uh huh~ Sure~ I didn't know you cared so much for Meliodas~" I tease her as she tears up a little blushing red. She pouts a little as I pet her head.

"Haha, I was just teasing princess. Sorry, I still love you!~" I hug her tightly.

She hugs back nodding.

"You know..." She starts speaking making me tilt my head in confusion.

"Hm? What is it?"

"I bet Howzer would have loved to see you now," Elizabeth smiles to me as I see nostalgia gleam in her eyes gorgeous light blue eyes.

I felt my heart skip a beat when she said his name. I look away with a wry smile on my face.

"Nah, I haven't seen him in ages. I bet he's gotten over me anyways. You know him, he can forget things sometimes."

"Yeah, haha, that is true. But I am sure if you saw him now he would remember. Oh, Margaret and Gilthunder finally got together while you were gone. They make quite the couple," Elizabeth said trying to lighten up the mood.

"Really?! Who asked first?! Do they have any kids?! Have they done it yet?!" I blast out all my questions making Elizabeth jump in surprise.

"I umm! Well, Gilthunder asked her first and no they don't have any kids," She answers.

"Yet~" I wiggle my eyebrows making her get nervous and embarrassed about the topic. I laugh as I move inside the room taking off the blue ribbon tying up my hair and began to brush out all the knots.

"Go ahead and see your future hubbie~," I tell her as she blushes red again and rushes out of the room closing the door shut. I laugh at her reaction as I set myself onto the bed and reached out my hands into the air.

"Howzer..." I grew daze as I imagined his hand intertwined with mine.

I can just imagine him laughing at me for always laying in the grass all the time and hiding in the bushes every time we played hide and go seek.

"Who's Howzer?" I hear Diane question making me jump up from my bed as I look out the window to see her peering in through the window.

"Jesus! My goddess Diane! You scared the living life out of me," I pout a little running my fingers through my hair sighing out of distress. She just laughs apologizing.

"Anyways!~ Girl talk! Who is Howzer?! Is he your boyfriend?!" She is starting to sound like me.

"No! It's not like that! I haven't seen him in years! And he is just an old childhood friend of Elizabeth and me!" I retort trying to ignore the blush growing onto my face.

Diane just sent me a smirk as she uses one of her hands to cover her mouth.

"Ohoho~ So a lover since childhood~ I like it~" She giggles.

"Jeez! Then who do you like huh?!"

"It's obvious..." She flips one of her pigtails.

"I love the captain of course~"

"Oh...right..." I stated plainly.

"Jeez is that all you have to say?!" She pouts.

"No, I just... I don't know. I am not good with this kind of stuff. I haven't been able to socialize like this in years since I got exiled from the kingdom and was stripped from my job as a personal maid to the princesses."

"Woah! You got exiled?! Why?!" She asks in utter shock.

"I was exiled for being accused of stealing and putting the princess in danger," I look away not wanting to remember that day. It was so painful leaving my only home and family.

"Well, you're here now right? You're still alive right?" She said to me.

"Yeah..." I respond back to her.

"Then make the most of it. I bet Elizabeth prayed for your safety and was hoping you were living a great life," Diane said with a smile on her face.

"Yeah..." I repeated.

"So do you still like this guy Howzer?!"

I blush red.

"You're still on about that?! I told you he was just a childhood friend!"

"Who you have feelings for!~" She says with a smirk on her face. I felt my heart beat faster as I look away from her.

"I... Would never... Maybe..."

"Haha, I got you!~ Don't worry! The moment you see him I bet he will be happy!~" She remarks laughing.
