Eustass Fucking Kid
Law insisted you come armed. If he had it his way you wouldn't step foot near the Kid pirates but you were very stubborn and impossible to discourage. So, he made you take a set of knives since you had great aim when it came to throwing them. They were currently strapped to your belt, very obvious but that was the idea. The Kid pirates were a rough group and Law didn't want them getting any ideas around you.
The Polar Tang arrived at Amestara Island in the early evening, docking at it's most bustling city. It was a more pirate friendly island, being just out of reach of the Marine waters you were in a few short hours ago.
"See that ship?" Law pointed to ship with a large dinosaur skull figurehead that was a little farther down the docks.
"Yeah."
"That's the Kid pirates' ship. I'm guessing they called me to play doctor for them so we'll be boarding that soon."
You nodded.
"It'll be you, me, and Penguin-ya. The rest of the crew will stay here in case they try to pull something and we need to leave quickly." Law usually wasn't so serious but you'd never seen other pirates before either. This would be a learning experience for you.
"Unless he's bat shit crazy, I don't think he'll do that. The area is too populated and even if there's no Marines, there's bound to be some kind of law around here." You said, following him down to the dock, motioning for Penguin to follow.
"That's the problem. He is bat shit crazy, with one hell of a temper."
Penguin fell in step with the two of you. He didn't bring any weapons since he was skilled in hand to hand combat like Bepo. Law did bring his sword along though. Couldn't be too careful according to him.
"You think something happened to their ship doctor?" Penguin pondered.
"Not sure, but this guy looks like he'll be able to answer that." You pointed to the man walking straight over to the three of you.
He was dressed simply with blue jeans and a tee shirt that clung to his bulking frame. What threw you off was his mask. It had a few holes dotting its blue and white stripped surface but there were no other openings besides that and where his scruffy goatee poked through. Long, thick, blond hair fell down to his waist. From what you could tell, he was probably a handsome guy. But he was no Trafalgar Law.
"Trafalgar." The man stopped right in front of your little group.
"Killer-ya." Law gave him a curt nod before letting him lead you back to his ship. So this was the man on the other end of the call.
"Long story short," Killer began. "we landed at an uninhabited island, took time to explore and restock supplies, and next thing we knew half the crew was sick. Our doctor was one of the first to fall victim to it and is unable to do anything about it."
"You need me to cure this mystery illness then." Law walked beside him while you and Penguin stayed a few steps behind, being completely ignored. Which was fine with you, the Killer guy was a bit intimidating.
"Yes. You'll get the agreed amount for doing so."
"No one else became ill after leaving the island?"
"No." Killer shook his head. "Things would have been a lot worse than they already are if that was the case. Kid is already pissed enough about it all as it is."
"So it's not airborne, probably something from plant or animal life then?" You said, thinking aloud.
Killer looked over his shoulder at you. "Are they necessary? Kid wants this done quick so we don't want anyone getting in the way."
"If you want this done at all then they come with me." Law said, smiling innocently at the masked man.
"Fine." He turned to address you and Penguin. "Stay out of the captain's way if you value your life and don't go anywhere we don't want you for the same reason."
Penguin nodded vigorously while you gave him a casual wave of the hand while eyeing the different stalls lining the docks. "Sure thing buddy."
"(Y/n)-ya, I need you to take orders properly for once."
"You think I can't follow orders? Your words wound me Captain." You held a hand to your chest in mock disbelief as you followed him onto Eustass Kid's ship.
It was easily bigger than the Polar Tang, with a much more gothic feel to it. You preferred the bright yellow submarine over the two based on first impressions. The members of Kid's crew that weren't sick were lounging around on deck, some of them glaring at Law and Penguin while the rest eyed you lustfully. They seemed like a charming group.
"The medical bay couldn't fit everyone so they're in the sleeping quarters." Killer led you down a set of stairs to where you assumed all the men stayed.
Unlike the tidy appearance of Law's ship, this one wasn't so nice. The sleeping quarters smelled like a bunch of sweaty sailors, imagine that. Besides the bad smell, it was a mess, clothes and boots were strewn about along with personal artifacts. You had to step over a lot of stuff to avoid tripping where as Killer and Law kicked everything in their way to the side.
All the sick men were at the far end of the room, swaying in their hammocks and groaning away. It was down right pitiful. Law looked over the closest man, he was sweating profusely with bloodshot eyes and seemed to be in a lot of pain. If there was anything else to his sickness, you couldn't tell. That was more up Law's alley.
"I should be able to treat them but it'll take a while. I can have everyone taken care of by morning but we're using your medical supplies. I'm not wasting my own on Eustass' men." Law stepped away from the man. "I'll take care of them in the medical bay, bring a few up at a time."
"I'll get the men started on that." Killer led you back up to their sad excuse of an infirmary. The room was small with three cots shoved into it. From what you could see, the equipment and supplies were sub-par compared to what Law kept on hand.
"(Y/n)-ya, Penguin-ya, stay outside the door and keep an eye on your surroundings. This will go faster if no one comes in to bother me."
You weren't happy with the orders but it's not like you knew how to be of any real use in this kind of situation. So you did as he said without putting up a fuss. Penguin and you stood at either side of the door, facing out to the deck and watching the rest of Kid's crew along with the passing people on the docks. Killer and two other men brought their sick in, three at a time to fill the cots.
The two others were as equally strange as Killer. They were dressed in a way that you could only describe as suggestive. Like they were offering themselves up for otherwise undesirable late night work. One had long waves of blue hair and thorn tattoos covering his arms and neck. He looked perpetually sad, tired, or some mix of the two. The other wore a cape and looked all business with a crew mate slung over a shoulder and a trident in hand.
Penguin seemed on edge each time they came by, or any other person from Kid's crew for that matter. But you had no problem with them. They weren't looking to start trouble when your captain was willing to step in and fix their little problem. They were sending you a lot of looks though, making you wish you'd changed into something a little less revealing than your shorts and tee shirt. You hadn't planned on being eyed like a piece of meat today so there's that. Either way, they didn't touch you so you could tolerate their stares.
Law worked tirelessly in the medical bay, the men coming out on their own two feet and looking to be in much better shape than when they went in. The evening wore on until it turned dark and the air cooled. Most of the crew had gone inside, probably to eat, leaving you and Penguin on an otherwise empty deck. With the more intimidating pirates gone, he was up for some small talk to pass the time. You humored him with it but your mind was some place else.
Killer had said to keep out of his captain's way while here but you hadn't seen the man. And you were pretty confident you couldn't miss a "giant pissy red head" as Law put it. It left you feeling a little uneasy that you hadn't come across him yet. You figured the captain of the ship would want to stick close by when another pirate was working on his men but maybe he just didn't give a shit.
Or so you thought.
A man climbed on board who fit Law's description to a T. He was huge, with impressive muscles bared through his open vest and fiery red hair held out of his face with a pair of goggles. A thick fur coat was draped over his shoulders, making him look even bigger than he already was. And boy he looked pissed as his gaze went from you to Penguin and back to you.
"Killer!" He yelled. "I thought I told you we don't need that damn doctor's help!"
He lumbered closer to the medical bay door, fully intending on going in, but you stepped in his way without even thinking. It seemed like a good idea at the time, with your captain saying he would work faster without interruptions. But with the red headed monster towering over you now, it didn't seem so great.
"Excuse me?" He bent down to your level and you felt vaguely insulted by how he did it, past the overpowering fear of course. "Are you trying to keep me from moving freely on my ship?"
"My captain said he'll be finished faster without people interrupting him so I'm going to have to ask you leave him alone or get sick with the rest of your crew if you want to see him so bad." It was astounding that you got it all out without so much as a stutter.
Penguin trembled beside you, shaking his head and mouthing the word "no" as you stood defianitely in the captain's way. Just as Killer told you not to do.
"You have a real set of balls for some puny little bitch." He sneered in your face, getting close enough that you could see the red that painted his lips and smell the alcohol on his breath. This guy was bad news. "I have to admit though," He eyed your frame hungrily. "the doctor has good taste in women. I wonder how much he'd charge for a night with you."
"I'm his girlfriend, not his whore. And I'm more into men than animals like you. Bestiality isn't my thing, sorry." You shrugged, standing your ground despite him undressing you with his eyes.
He burst into sudden laughter and straightened out, still uncomfortably close to you. "I like you. Not many people are brave enough to say what comes to mind so easily. Are you sure you aren't available for the night? I could give you a taste of real pirate cock, I bet you'd like that." He licked his lips and bared his teeth into a smile.
"If you're anything as messy as the rest of your crew, trust me, I've seen their quarters, I wouldn't touch you with a ten foot pole. That shit's nasty. You guys have showers, right? Or did you forget how they work?" Everything in you was saying to watch your mouth but he made it so hard and just spouting out words came so naturally.
"You better watch your mouth girlie." Kid growled, his face inches from yours. He wasn't liking you saying whatever came to mind so much anymore.
"Cute makeup by the way. Maybe you can show me how you do it sometime, I'm really loving the red." Fuck you're inability to shut up.
"I should kill you and the doctor while I have you both on my ship." He wrapped a hand around your throat and your hands instantly flew to his arm, trying to keep him from snapping your neck.
"Kid!" Killer came up from below deck. "Put her down so Trafalgar can finish the job. We can't afford to lose so much of the crew."
"And here I thought I was the captain. Between you and the mouthy bitch I'm not so sure I'm asserting myself well enough." He still loosened his hold on you and placed you on your feet. You didn't realize he had lifted you up off the ground a bit, you were too focused on trying to breath.
"They'll be done by morning and out of our hair Kid, let it go."
Kid stared you down and you stared right back, still holding onto his arm. "Alright." He grumbled, still locking eyes with you as he dropped his hand from your neck. He started following Killer below deck but turned back around for one more thing. "If you find yourself wanting a real fuck come find me sweetheart. I have a ball gag with your name on it." He giggled to himself as he continued on his way.
"C-captain is going to be furious when he figures out what happened." Penguin shuddered, finally able to speak.
"It could've been worse." You released the breath you didn't realize you were holding.
"Oh, it's pretty bad." Penguin tilted his head and tapped his neck with a single digit.
Your hand crept up to your neck. "There's marks, aren't there?"
"Hopefully they don't bruise too bad, but yeah. You really should not talk sometimes (Y/n), it's going to get you killed some day."
"I was just thinking the same thing...." You stared down the steps the red headed beast went down. If you were lucky, you wouldn't have to deal with him ever again after this, that would be preferable at least.
