Jacka- Jaern.
Why can't he die!? Agh!
Sorry. During the entire time until his true side came out, I hated that man. Then the day I saw his real form, which was well after Pink tore him down in the Caves (We'll discuss that later), I felt sorry. But let's focus on how much I hated him.
The fact that he lived told me everything. I convinced Zenith and Audrey that we should get him killed in Telnor Town. By the way, he's still alive! I've wanted him dead since he attacked my damn sister and what does he do?! Live!
Ok... technically I'm the one to blame for that. I thought that the two grunts would win even with Pink and Forest getting in the way. So I didn't send them with much. So that was all on me.
Not this next time. I made sure Pink got the message about the Sky Cult's attempt to 'attack the augur' and got her and Forest panicked. Let them learn the truth before I expose him. So then the entire time after that was all real.

I expected them to drop in after my pathetic argument with Reukra, not during.
"You know that he's going to find out, right?"
"Yeah..."
"And you know what he's going to do when he finds out, right?"
"Yeah..."
"So what are you going to do about it?"
"Die in a hole."
"No, no, no, no. Have you been listening to your therapist at all?"
"No... not since the last one went into a coma..."
"Have you been sleeping?"
"For the most part... except when I was almost attacked..."
"What did Audrey say about this?"
"She scowled me and told me to pass out after I was done in Vupik City."
"She, ugh..." Reukra sighed softly. "You need help, ok?"
"Am I doing this alone? If I was doing this alone, I'd be dead already. The cause of it, who knows."
"You, ugh... you need more people. More allies. More... friends."
"Says the person who's friends became enemies with one decision."
"Paul... shut up."
"I'm Percy right now. Remember, I have to be in that... deathtrap soon enough."
"Ok, ok. My bad." Taen finally intervened.
"Um..."
"What Taen?"
"We have visitors."
"Shit."
Like I said, after my argument. And I only lost because I had powered through leveling my Salvation team, so moves and everything sucked worse than Jaern.
Yes. I said it.
Following that up was the fight up the tower. I actually had to drop my form early as everything felt like it was spinning. I hated heights thanks to Jaern's attack. So going up the tower in a Sky Cultist uniform with that fear was stupid. I told the others I would join later, and then acted like I had defeated that sorry ass.
Then I met up with Forest, who automatically saw how pale I was. I was just below the roof, so some people could understand. In fact, the battle was mostly me supporting him since he wasn't afraid. I had to grab his hand once when a rather powerful wind attack almost sent me flying. While I let go, he kept his grip going to keep me standing.
When we finally got through the Cultists, I collapsed.
"Are you ok? You were shaking the entire fight." I mumbled something under my breath.
"It's just... I have a fear of heights..." Forest paused.
"But... you're in the sky cult..." I shook my head.
"I'm... not a member... but don't... don't tell Pink... I'm on your side..." Forest paused.
"What do you mean, don't tell Pink? Why not?" I took a deep breath.
"How do you know my name?" Forest hesitated. I smiled faintly. "That's why I don't want Pink to know who I am yet." Forest frowned.
"And why is that?" I grimaced.
"I'll... tell you later... right now, Pink needs help." Forest nodded and started heading towards the roof. "And Forest?" He stopped and looked at me. "Utira Library. We'll talk there..." Forest nodded as he turned and went.
"... See you later..."

When I found out that Jaern lived, I screamed into a pillow for an hour. Taen actually had to calm me down because I couldn't calm down or even move. I literally couldn't. Taen didn't leave my side until I finally did.
Well... I've ranted on enough. If there's something specific you want me to add, let me know.
