Dedicated to aph-mom Love ya! <3

"So, Sans, are you ready for the next challenge?!" Papyrus questioned his brother happily, he certainly was looking forward to what was ahead. Sans, however, just stared at the ground, "I don't know, bro, maybe you should just go on ahead, it's not like I'm actually good at anything anyway..." Papyrus, upon hearing Sans' answer, sighed. "Sans, you must start believing in yourself!"

"Why? It's not like I'm actually good for anything, you always say so yourself I'm 'too lazy' and I just 'make terrible puns 24/7'." The taller of the two backed away slightly, "S-Sans, I..."

"Just drop it, Papyrus. We both know that I'm not good for anything. It doesn't matter anyway, nobody cares whether I'm good for anything or not." Papyrus looked away, not quite sure how to reply to Sans, he was acting so strangely all of a sudden, what had gotten into him? Was something wrong? Had someone said something to hurt him? Oh god, if someone had hurt Sans, Papyrus would make sure they never do again. "Brother, what's wrong with you? You're never usually like this."

"Oh, I wonder what it could be...Maybe it's because I heard my own brother talking to Undyne about how pathetic I am? Oh! Wait, that could never be it, because Papyrus is such an amazing, popular person who would never, ever say anything mean about me!"

"Sans you have everything wrong I never-"

"Shut up!" Sans cut him off harshly, "I don't see why you try your best to keep me happy, Papyrus. There's no point. I'm just...just useless okay?"

"You can make friends." Papyrus stated calmly, sounding extremely unlike his usual self, this made the shorter skeleton confused. "What?"

"You can make friends," He repeated, "Everybody loves you, Sans. Even if you are lazy and apathetic, you make friends so easily. Yet, I can't make any. You're far better at me in that aspect, Brother."

Sans, taken aback by the sudden statement, stared at his brother in mild shock. "Did you just say I was better than you at something?"

"I may not like admitting it, but you're better than me at a lot of things, things which I may pretend to be good at, but I'm not."

This only furthered Sans' confusion, "Like what, Bro?" It was now Papyrus' turn to look away dejectedly, "Let's see...you're good at being intelligent, reading, organising, even if you don't act like it, making jokes, being funny and you don't change yourself. Ever."

"Papyrus, stop. You are good at those things and you don't change yourself that much...Just maybe a little more than you should." Sans drifted off, unsure of where exactly Papyrus was going with this.

"I try so hard Sans, so hard and yet, no matter what I do, nobody likes me, almost everyone in Snowdin hates me! You're not the only one with problems, you're not the only one who feels like he can't do anything right! I just want to look ahead, because I'm sure things will get better, I'm sure that I'll get there eventually! But it's hard to stay positive all the time, it's extremely difficult."

This finally snapped Sans out of his strange state of depression and he went back into 'Big Brother Mode', "Pap, you're amazing," He stated grabbing his brother's hand, "I'm sorry that I started this, but hey, we'll get through this together. We will move forward, even if it's at a slow pace."

Papyrus gave a halfhearted laugh, "That's something what I'd say to you." Sans nodded, "Guess you've taught me well, bro. But I mean it, okay? You're 'The Great Papyrus' you have no reason to be sad. But if you ever are, then tell me, you must tell me. So that I can help, alright?"

Sans' brother nodded. "Okay, and I want you to tell me whenever you're sad too!"

"Alright. Love ya bro."

"I love you too, Sans."

And so they moved forward, soon enough, they both overcame their fears and found happiness in one of the most unexpected places, themselves.

Sorry for any typos etc. And for possibly OOC Sans and Papyrus--
