The Place of No Time

First thing you notice upon walking in is that pretty much every spare inch of the wall is covered in clocks.

There’s some that tick others have stopped. There’s a grandfather clock sitting between two windows. A shelf in the corner is housing alarm clocks, hopefully turned off. The shelf in the opposite corner was dedicated to hourglasses, largest on bottom smallest on top. There’s big clocks and little watches tacked to the wall. Some have Roman numerals others show normal numbers, there’s even the odd digital clock.

None of the clocks are showing the same time. You glance at your own watch, then scan the wall. None of the clocks are showing the right time.

Not one.

Definitely Fair Folk.

Soon the barista waved you over. She was angular yet graceful and tall. With long pointed nose that somehow still looked beautiful on her face. These fae are so damn lucky with their good looks.

“Hello, what can I get you?” She smiled. Perfectly white teeth, they looked normal enough.

“Hi,”
