"Don't worry, papa! I'll be safe!" I reassure him. "Don't you trust the Cosgraves?" I ask him, holding my phone in one of my hand and patting Liry with the other.

"Of course, I do but you're leaving and I don't know when you'll be back." he reasons, looking concerned and woeful like an actual parent.
My mother didn't even bother calling me or anything. It saddened me. I couldn't say goodbye to her nor to my little brother.

"I know. . . but I'll visit from time to time, I promise." I said, sincerely.

"I know you will."

I smile at the phone. "You have Diavolo with you, so no worries." I said teasingly. He laughs lightly, a slight blush creepy upon his face.

"Yeah." he said after he was done laughing.

I was in Rune's room, she had gone downstairs leaving me here. I had decided to call my dad. I arrived this morning and I will be leaving Enchantra today. I had said all my goodbyes to my friends and family, except my mother and my brother.

I could hear shuffles coming from beside dad, it caught both mine and dad's attention. "Watch are you laughing about?" I heard Diavolo, I could tell he was smiling.

"Oh, gem here is like I won't be alone since you will keep me company." Dad tells him, using my nickname.

"She's not wrong." he laughs, cuddling my dad. Dad leans into his touch and share a kiss, while I'm here waiting for them to get of their little world.

"I'm still here and I would love to get some attention, please." I interrupt their almost love making session.

My dad glares at me for interrupting them. "Uh. . . sorry." Diavolo apologizes, getting into his senses.

"Can I speak to Adriel for a minute?" my dad asks.

"Sure, lemme just. . . head downstairs." I said, getting up and placing Liry carefully on the bed, leaving the room.

I walk downstairs and then look for Adriel, instead I find Rowan and Rune together, watching a movie. "Hey Rowan, do you know where Adriel is?" I aks him, coming into their view.

"He's upstairs. Why?" Rowan asks.
Seriously? I came all the way down here only to find out he's upstairs?

I could hear my dad's snickers from the phone. "It's just, my dad wants to talk to him." I let him know.

"It's okay, gem. Rowan would suffice." he tells me and I hand the my phone to Rowan.

"Aye, captain!" he greets him, saluting him in a playful gesture. He earns a laugh from my dad, Rowan then laughs along with him. Rune stares into the phone curiously.

"Hey, Rowan." he returns his greetings, while I take a seat next to Rune.

"How are you?" Rowan asks him. He's always so kind hearted.

"I'm well and thanks for asking." he answered. He then gets straight to the point.

"I'm trusting Rune with my daughter, Jewel." he tells him. Rowan hands the phone to Rune which startles her.

"Er, yes sir." she answers him, not knowing what else to say.

"Wait, I was talking to Rowan. Either way, I'm trusting my daughter with you, Rune." he said, authority lacing in his voice.

"Uh, okay sir." she answers him, still a little unsure. I could understand her, my dad was a somewhat of a scary man but he's a big softie. But I had to stop him, this was weird.

"Papa, let's stop this nonsense." I complain. He shouldn't be so strict with her, even if I knew he did it because he loved me.

"Alright, alright, I'm sorry. But, where did Rowan run off to?" he ask. "He's had a habit of doing that."

Rowan laughs, he looked like he sweating for some reason. "I'm right here. I thought maybe you would like to speak to her, yourself." he shrugs. Rune hands me my phone back to me.

"Anyways, when are you leaving?" he asks me. I look at the others, I didn't know at what time we would leave. Just then Adriel's voice boomed through the living room.

"We'll be leaving soon enough." he says.

Where the hell did he come from? This man can literally appear out of nowhere. He then glares at me, reading my mind. I giggled, and showed him to my dad.

"Oh, had your beauty sleep?" my dad him, chuckling.

"Yes, but you had to interrupt it!" he accuses, holding his hands up to his chest.

"Why only me?" Dad asks him. I can hear Rowan sighing from beside me.

"I don't know, you're loud." he quickly states.

"What can I do about it?! I have to command people, y'know." my dad says, getting all defensive.

"Ok, you both have to stop!" Rowan demands. "They'll be leaving in a while."

They both mumbled an apology to him. Adriel takes a seat right next to Rowan, of course, then dad and him have an actual talk. Time flies by quickly and wouldn't you know, I am leaving.

Fallon and Winnie called me to say goodbye, they went on saying that they would miss and I would too. They were amazing friends and I wouldn't ever forget about them, ever. I would make sure I visited Enchantra regularly, regularly as in at least twice a year, if I was able to.

My brother had called me a while back, few moments before I actually left Enchantra. He had called me without mother knowing, I was so happy that he had called me.

My mother still hadn't called me, but this was enough for me.

"Hello, Jude?" I ask just to make sure if it was really him. I move away from the others so that I could get some privacy.

I could hear shuffling coming from the other side of phone, then I heard my brother's voice. "Hey, gem?"

My heart melted upon hearing that name after a long time. Gem was my nickname that my family used on me. My dad still calls me gem and, well so does my brother at least.

"You're leaving?" he asked, sounding blue.

"Yeah," I answer him. "I'm actually leaving right now, like this moment."

"I just wish--" he stops and takes a deep breath. "that we could've seen each other again."

"Me too, Jude, but I'm leaving." I tell him.

"I wish mom had let me see you that day." he said, referring to the day I had visited them with my dad. Mother didn't let him see us, especially dad. She didn't let me see him either since I was supporting dad.

"Well, you could've video called me."

"I know, but I didn't. . .I'll still miss you." he said. My heart broke, hearing his saddened words.

"I'll miss you too. And maybe you can call me again without mom knowing, alright?" I suggested.

"That sounds nice." which it was.

We had talked a little more, I cut the call after we were done since I had to be leaving. I had also suggested him to call dad, he would be really happy to hear from him. Rune had asked me who it was, and I told her everything.

We had used Adriel's jeep to reach the pathway since it was impossible to reach there with all my luggages. We had said our goodbyes and had left, promising that we would return.

Then, on the other side, I finally met Rune's dad in person!

He had told me that he didn't believe Rune in the beginning when she said that she had found her mate. But, here I was on Earth, right in front of him.

At the moment, we were at the council headquarters, getting all the stuff I needed to settle down on earth. They provided me with a passport, civil I'd, and other qualifications I needed to continue my studies and live here. Rune, Conner and Rae were in the car, waiting for me, with Liry. I obviously couldn't leave her.

Its a huge change, but a good change.

After everything was done, I thanked the guy, named Kevin as his name tag read, who had assisted me.

"You're always welcome, miss." he bowed to me while I did the same.

I walked up to Rune's dad, he'd told me to call him dad, but I insisted. I already had two dads, one I called papa and the other dad, and a mother.

He was on his phone, that's when I think he saw me approaching. He tucked his phone away, "You're done?" he asks me as I walked up to him.

"Yeah, they gave me some extra money too." I tell him.

"Alright, let's go home then." he says.

Home. . . I wasn't sure I could call it home. But, Rune's home is my home too.

"Wow! You're real?" Rune's friend, Amelia asked, looking shocked.

I wonder what's up with everyone not believing that Rune had a mate, or in this case, a girlfriend. Maybe it's something she did or always does. She's could be really cheeky at times.

"Yes! I've told you!" she says taking another sip of her smoothie.

"You know, I didn't believe, not until now. I was literally waiting for you to uncover your lie but turns out you were telling the truth. . ." her other friend, Jojo or Jonathan, admitted.

"Well, I'm a real person. She didn't make me up." I defended her.

Rune really wanted to boast about me to her friends. So, here we are! Together, all her friends, in a café. Rune also wanted to catch up with them on the things she missed when she was away.

Rae was really happy today. He learned that his friend, Lionel, had somehow told his parents that he wanted to take humanities as a course. He were disappointed in him, for some reason. They wanted him to be a doctor which I think is a prestigious career in this place. But then, his parents gave in to their stubborn son who loved history so much. I think it's great.

Amelia slouches back in her seat, "Well, there goes my money..." she says.

"What money?" Rae asks from across the table.

She takes the money out fr her purse and hands it over to Conner, who happily takes it. He made sure if it was real. "Oh, Conner and I made a bet. He said, he'd believe Rune had a girlfriend who if it turns out to be true, then I owed him ten dollar." she said.

Conner broke into a grin. He pretty much knew that we were mates, only a little after. But, he knew and this was a perfect opportunity for him. Sneaky boy, I'm impressed.

"Hey, why didn't tell me! This was a perfect chance to get some money fr her!" Jojo said, sighing. Amelia glares at him from her seat.

"You're no getting my money!" she tells him.

We laugh and talk about how life went on without us. I didn't have much to say, so I listened to them speak. I did answer shit that I knew when I was asked. I noticed the girl that was si beside Jojo, which I assumed was his girlfriend. She'd never talk which made me think she was mute. But then, she talked and when she did, she would just mumble.

I thought about Liry, who I had left home with Rune's mother. Apparently, she secretly loved having pets and a cat was what she always wanted. I'm sure she must be being pampered back there, but I'm pretty sure that she must be sleeping. Sleeping is her main thing, watching her sleep would eventually make me tired if I was trying to study and I would sleep along with her.

The amazing thing was, we all got admission in a university in a place called Vancouver. Except for Lionel and Amelia, they would be moving to Montreal, which was close by. Our class would start in three weeks.

I felt happy and content here, together with Rune. This was a dream of mine for so long, I've worked so hard for this-for her-for us. Now, we were together forever and nothing else would matter.

Maybe, this is my happily ever after that my dad always kept joking about, which it was. My life with her will be amazing from now on.
