"How annoying can this human get?" I mumbled to myself.

Melissa had been following me since I've met her and won't leave me alone. I'm currently trying to get rid of her and then head towards the cafeteria. Hopefully, she will get lost. It's like I have my own personal stalker, but I think there is a reason why she's doing this. There is a huge crowd in front of us and I stop for a moment. She stops along with me.

"Why'd you stop? I thought we were gonna see your friends."she assumed.

I sighed. I realised something, I can't ever make her loose track of me. We'll obviously find me in the cafeteria. She'll always follow me. Well, there's only one thing I can do now and that's, let her be.

I start walking through the crowd with Melissa trying to catch up to me. As we make our way through, I spot Jojo. He makes his way towards me.

"Aye, Rune. Who is this shortie with you?" he asks me.

"Well..this is a..stranger who needs my help because she's lost. Poor thing, kept following me." I told him and all I got was 'oh'.

"Wait what? I'm not lost!" she interferes.

"Then, bye." and I took off with Jojo. I hope I never see her again, if I'm lucky enough.

"That was strange." he tells me and I couldn't agree more. "Indeed." I replied.

We reached our spot and sat down with Lia and Conner. Conner was copying Lia's homework and she was busy eating. I told her everything about what happened today and she was surprised that Melissa came out of nowhere and, especially, talk to me. I feel like there is something fishy with her. It couldn't be a coincidence that the girl I never talked to, decides to talk to me when I know she likes Jewel. I think she knows.

"Hey, Rune, Happy birthday. In advance. I also need the cake." Conner says, out of the blue.

"What..?" I asked.

"Don't tell me you forgot your own birthday, even Rhaegal's." Amelia teased.

"Wait. When's my birthday again?" I asked them, sheepishly. I clearly forgot about that day, the day I was brought to this horrible place.

"Seriously? You forgot?" Amelia asked in serious manner, I've never seen her look serious for important things.

"Uh.. Can I also know when is her birthday?" Jojo asked sheepishly. He forgot too, I guess.

"It's next week. I better get cake, especially chocolate! " Conner demanded. I laughed at that. "Or else, I ain't coming."

"Sure, besides I love chocolate. I won't accept any other cake my parents get me." I stated. "Good." he replied.

"What do want for your birthday? As a gift?" Jojo asked. "I'm bad a buying presents."

"Yeah, I know. I have past experiences."I said knowingly.

"Hey, Rune. Nice to meet you again."A high pitched voice can be heard. Oh no. It's that human again. I will cry now. "Can this be a coincidence that we bump into each other so much?"

"Uh..we're in the cafeteria. All students have their snacks here." Conner stated, flatly. "Also, who are you?"

"It's that shortie again." Jojo states, pointing at her. I swat his hand down. Gosh, he has no manners!

"Isn't that Melissa?" Lia asks, whispering in my ear. "What's she doing here?"

"I don't know." I tell her.

"If you don't mind, can I sit with you guys?" she asked us, in her pitchy voice.

"No." we all said in unison. I swear to god, we're bitches.

"Don't be fuckin' rude." she states. Reminds me of that woman with many kids and sisters and a huge ass. I think her name is called Kim. She has a meme from that one sentence she said.

"Then, get lost." Conner spat at her. Honestly, I want to thank Conner for that but I feel as though we're a little too harsh on her. I mean, yeah, we probably are.

"Besides, don't you have friends? I've seen them." Amelia states bluntly, stabbing at her salad as she did so.

"Yes, but they're not here right now." she shrugs her shoulders. "So, might as well join you guys."

"No need. Bye." I tell her, hoping she would leave. And she does leave, but gives me a side eye.

"She's weird. Who is she?" Conner asks me.

"She's this girl who popped up out of nowhere from behind me. I turned around and saw no one but she was short so I had to use my head and look down. Then I saw her and she was following around for the rest of the day. She's my sasaeng." I babbled.

"Well...that's one way to put it." Conner responds, as if he knew what it meant.

"huh?" Jojo is in confusion. I mean, he's been like that his whole life.

"Why would she follow you?" Amelia asks me.

"Again, I repeat, I do---" I was interrupted.

"Let us continue eating." Conner declares. I shoot him a glare, he returns a charming smile. Anyways, I continued eating like he said.

I was, again, walking home with Rae like I always do. It was peaceful right now, I felt content.

"This Melissa is stalking me." I blurted out from nowhere.

"Huh? The Melissa you were talking about morning?" Rae asked for confirmation.

"Yeah. She popped out of nowhere and started stalking. If she wants to stalk me, can't she at least try being good at it? It's like have my own sasaeng!" I tell him.

"Rune I know that you love kpop and all but please tell me what that means?" he asks me.

"It means like a stalker." I answer him. He nods in understanding.

"You know her! Ask her about it." I demand. "I'll try...." he reassures me.

"Conner says he wants chocolate cake, even me." I tell him.

"Uh...ok. Go buy it." he tells me. I thing he too, forgot, like me. We really are the same. "Don't tell me you forgot."

"Forgot what?" he asks me.

"Our birthday, you idiot! It's next week." I tell him and his eyes widened.

"Wait really? I forgot. How could I forget?" he asks himself in disbelief. "Did you remember?"

I'm pretty sure he thinks I wouldn't remember, and he's right. "Nope. Conner wished in advance and wanted chocolate cake and when I found out." I answered. All I got was an 'oh' in response.

"Do know what this means?" he said, a smile gracing his hideous face. "Yes, I know."

"We're going to finally meet them, our mates. The one we'll spend the rest of our lives with." he gushed. Oh no. He's acting like a Disney princess.

"Who would it be and how would they look like?" he muses to himself. He usually does so from time to time, he's eager to meet his mate as soon as possible. And we probably will on our birthday.

"They're gonna be fabulous." I chuckled and he hums in response. "We'll get to know about it next week, until then, we wait. So, calm down." I reassured. Maybe, I'll meet mine too, or maybe not.

"Alright." he says, understanding.

"So... we're getting chocolate, right?" I grin

"Oh hell no. I want red velvet." he demands.

"What happens if you're mate is there, during that day, and happened to like chocolate?" I proposed the idea.

"Uh...I don't know." he tells me. "Besides, mum's the one making it. We'll have to somehow convince her."

"Then chocolate it is." I said with a grin, and I hear him sigh.
