Recap: Ranjani hit Anika's scooty with her car

Nancy and Anika were sleeping after returning from the hospital getting the wounds dressed. Granny informed Nancy to stay over to take care of her. She prepared soup and dinner for them who was sleeping in Anika's room. She fed them dinner cursing the person who hit their scooty.

Ani: Granny stop scolding them. They would have done unintentionally. Why are you cursing them ?

Gran: Stop Ana, that idiot should have stopped the car and checked on you. Both of you stay home tomorrow and take rest.

Ani: No granny, we need to go for industrial visit and we will get certificate for it. It will be very useful for us to get jobs in future. It is a very big company.

Nan: Yes granny, we will be fine don't worry. I will take care of Ana.

Gran: You have decided not to listen my words so do whatever you want.

Nan: Wake us early. We need to catch the bus that will take us to the company from college.

Once granny left Nancy turned Anika to face her.

Nan: Ana, what if that man whom you met in the evening did the accident ?

Ani: Hey Nancy, he is such a kind man. He will not do such thing. Why are you and granny making  big issue of this accident ?

Nan: I think he is the one behind this. Why should he come to college and meet you ? Better stay away from him Ana. Don't speak to him if you meet him next time. 

Anika pouted but kept quite when Nancy glared at her. They slept under the influence of the pain killer. Ishwar was sipping his drinks slowly recollecting her words that was now haunting him now.

Ish: Did you check properly that she has only her grandmother ? How did a mama jump all of a sudden ?

Jer: Boss, I have done clearly there is no one other than her grandmother.

Ish: Do one thing send someone to follow her granny and see who is that man. How did she fall for him ? Will he be smarter than me ? Richer than me ? Handsome than me ?

Jer: Boss, you are her perfect best other half. You have promised your uncle and we will do anything to fulfill it. What plans for tomorrow ?

Ish: I can't see her when the reason for her smile is someone else. What time will the bus reach our site tomorrow ?

Jer: Better you should have seen her instead of returning to office. Students will reach by 10.

Their conversation was interuppted when Jerald's mobile pinged with continous notifications. He checked and saw messages from Ranjani about her visit to his site. Jerald informed it to Ishwar.

Ish: Reply that she has to be lowkey before the students. She can see me but no reactions but make sure she gets some special treatment and Keep her engaged personally for sometime to keep her hope high.

Jer: Anika ?

Ish: I will take care of her. They are 30 students. Inform the project managers to assign them a design to be done individually. Split them to each floor work areas and conference rooms. Anika to my floor meeting room.

Jer: Sure Boss and just to let you know that I have cleared the recent travel history to france and instead changed it to Mumbai.

Ishwar hummed and returned to his room still annoyed and grumpy over the fact of a man being in her life.

Morning Anika and Nancy felt so tired and pain but still got ready and took an auto to reach the college as the scooty was a little damaged. Ranjani chose  different car to reach college and she was dressed so elegantly to meet Ishwar. She kept messaging frequently for which Jerald kept her engaged with subtle messages.

Ranjani saw Anika and Nancy getting down from auto and cursed that they were still fine and joining the visit. Anika and Nancy sat together and slept during the travel with the effects of the medicine. 

When the bus stopped before the site they were welcomed by the team leads and gave them a tour of their building and explained them the various details involved in the planning and designing of the buildings.

Jerald kept watching them from a distance. A continental lunch was arranged for the students as they returned exhausted after a tour for half day. Jerald moved towards Ranjani and gave a gentle smile to her.

Jer: Hope you are enjoying the day. Boss had arranged this continental lunch especially for your sake. He saw your posts on favourite foods in your social media and informed me to do this.

Ran: Really, but when can I see him ?

Jer: He doesn't want others to know that you are special to him. All the students will be taken to our office after lunch and you can see him there.

Ran: I m waiting to see him. I will message him anyways.

Jerald excused from her and went in search of Anika who was sitting in a corner leaning on a wall alone. He made her way towards her and cleared his throat.

Ani: Brother, what are you doing here ?

Jer: I work here Ana, why are you sitting lone. Where is your friend. Are you guys not having lunch?

Ani: She went to use the restroom. We had an accident yesterday so not feeling well and its paining.

She showed the scratches on her elbow and palm to Jerald who suddenly panicked but hid well before her.

Jer: How did this happen Ana ?

Ani: Some car hit our scooty on way to our home. But Nancy is doubting that you did this. Why will you do this to us. She is angry but I will make her understand later. 

Jer: Take care Ana.

Ani: Anna, is Mr. Ishwar your boss who helped on that day ? Though I did not see his face I feel he is the one.

Jerald excused with his non-ringing mobile and left there. She laid on the wall wincing in pain and Jerald called a employee and ordered him get plates for Anika and Nancy and left from there to call Ishwar to inform him about the accident but was stopped by Nancy who looked furious at him. She turned to her side to see if someone was watching and when she was sure there was no one she pulled him to a nearby passage and lashed out at him.

Nan: Who are you and why are you following her ? I know it was you who made that accident.

Jer: You re getting me wrong. Ana is like a sister to me. Stop assuming things on your own.

Nan: We don't need any brother in our life. I can take care of her. Just stay away from her. I will not sit back and watch someone taking advantage of her innocence. 

Jerald twisted her hand on his hold and turned her pinning her to the wall. He stood close to her.

Jer: I said that I m only a brother to Ana, not to you. Never doubt my care for her. Even it was only for few days I still adore her innocence and will care for her. 

Nan: Why did you meet her at college yesterday. After you met her we got into the accident. I m not innocent like her Mr.

Jer: I met her casually and she was saying about her granny's marriage plans with someone.

Nan: Idiot Ana, Look there is no one like she said. She used to get bullied by many so her granny has kept her under illusion that she has a man who will walk into her life to save and protect her. She thinks him as her future husband and doesn't even know that everything is just to keep her happy so don't try to harm her if you think she will get married to someone and I beg you to stay away from her. Please leave her and you will find many girls like the way you want but let her live her life. Her granny will find someone who will give her a simple and happy life. She will not fit in you world.

Before Jerald could respond he saw Ranjani walking towards them and he put his palm on Nancy's mouth shuting her. Nancy raised her knee to hit him on the part where the sun doesn't shine but Jerald placed his leg between hers and locked her movement.

Jer: Do you want something ?

Ran: No, I just came to look around. Can I proceed and have a glance of the place here too ?

Jer: Sorry, your bus is about to start you should return now or you will be late to reach office. Hope you understand.

Ran: Yes ofcourse, Thank you anyways. See you at office.

Ranjani left from there and Jerald looked at Nancy's eyes where were throwing dagger at him. He removed his palm from her mouth.

Nan: How low can you stoop Mr. How many girls are you looking at the same time ? Do whatever shit you want but don't play with my Ana.

Jerald looked at her from top to toe and smirked at her.

Jer: Right now I have eyes for only one but she is cactus but I don't mind pulling the thorns away patiently waiting to embrace her.. Afterall she is worth of it and Ana, is my sister. Don't you dare to raise a word against my care for her. You will regret it.

He took her hand and saw the scratches on it and looked back at her eyes. Nancy cursed under her breathe and yanked her hand from his hold wincing in pain and left from there leaving him smiling at her disappearing figure.
