Whoever is trying to bring you down is already below you...

I have told myself many times before and once again, I had to repeat it to myself as me and Juno got back to our apartment, only to discover a horrifying sight.
Clothes and food was scattered everywhere like a tornado had passed, the pictures of me and my family on the walls were shattered and written on the wall above my now ripped-up, mud-covered couch was:

Who's the real savage now, bitch?

Juno gasped, covering his mouth with both his hands as his eyes were filled with fear.

"What...what happened here?"

"...It's trouble makers, that's what..."

I muttered as I carefully walked over the shards of broken glass on the floor, examining the scene.
They had ruined everything...how did they even get in here?
I then noticed our balcony door was wide open, slowly swaying from side to side from the wind blowing in.
Bingo.
If I had just installed security cameras around my apartment before, then I could easily call the police and have them arrest the school bullies...but unfortunately, without proof, how could I?
I then felt Juno's hand land on my shoulder, gripping it tightly as I heard him take a deep breath.

"Mackenzie...I'm sorry...it's all my fault that they did this to you, to your own home..."

"Juno...it's not your fault, okay? You being the victim of bullying here is not your fault. All of this...it doesn't affect me. Why? Because I have survived this kind of bullying before...and I can do it again. They want to start a war with me? Then so be it. I'll give them a war that they'll never win~"

I promised as I then smiled at Juno.

"One way or another~"

And so the war between me and Juno's bullies had begun.
One day I sneaked into their dorms and replaced their regular shampoo with hair dye. Their hair had been dyed pink for all to see.
One day I gave them the most addictive bubble gum in the world. It had turned their teeth green.
One day I even hacked into all three of their phones. They got very angry whenever I disconnected them from their game, making them lose all of their progress and their new high scores.
However, no matter how many good pranks I have done to them, they would just hit me back in the most brutal way...and that was sending Juno home with a bloody nose or even more bruises.
And the more wounds I saw on his body, the more wounds I had on my heart and soul.
I knew right then and there that if this war keeps up, Juno was just going to get hurt even more than he already was.
What should I do at this rate...?
One night I hold a sleeping Juno in my arms, staring at his face that was now covered with several bandages to cover his cuts and bruises.
Even with all the bandages on, he still looked beautiful and irresistible...
I smiled as I then kissed his forehead, causing him to shift a little in his sleep.

"Don't worry Juno, I promise I'm going to fix all of this...I promise."

I whispered to him as I too fall asleep...
The next day, I asked Juno if he could get stuff for dinner, to which he happily agreed and went to go buy the ingredients.
However, it was already dark outside and there was still no sign of him.
I called him over and over, but it would only take me straight to voicemail.
I paced around the living room, biting my fingernails nervously as I wait for Juno to call or even text me back.

"Come on, Juno...where are you?"

My phone then suddenly rings, causing me to jump with surprise before quickly answering it with fumbling fingers.

"J-Juno! Are you okay? Where are you?"

"M-Mackenzie listen, I'm being followed by my bullies right now...I-I don't know what to do, I'm scared..."

"Crap! Juno hang in there! I'm on my way! Whatever you do, don't be afraid! You need to be brave right now, okay? Be brave Juno and wait for me!"

I advised before hanging up and grabbing my emergency butter sock.
If you don't know what the hell that is, it's just a long sock that I have stuffed two frozen blocks of butter into.
It's kinda like a nunchucks sort of thing.
What? It's a better weapon than a knife and a gun!
I quickly get my shoes on and run out of the apartment complex, hoping that Juno would be okay...

In a dark alley somewhere in Seoul, Juno was trapped in a dead end, with no where to run and no where to hide from his bullies...
He heard the evil snicker of the three boys as he heard their footsteps coming from behind him.
He slowly turns around, facing them as he tries to be brave.

"Well well well, what do we have here? A weak, little bunny all alone?~"

"S-Stay away! Leave me alone!"

"Oh what's this? Are you talking back to me? Oh Jun..."

The leader of the bullies smirks as he punches Juno in the stomach, causing the poor boy to fall to his knees, coughing and gasping for air.
The two hold both of Juno's arms, preventing him from escaping as the leader then grips his hair, pulling it back so he could force Juno to look at him.

"Awww are you going to cry?~
Go ahead, cry~ No one's going to save you~"

"...No...I am not going to cry, especially in front of you!"

Juno shouts as he then spits on his bully. The bully clicks his tongue in annoyance as he glances at Juno with dark eyes.
He then takes out a small box cutter knife, causing Juno to shudder.

"Oh, I was going to go easy on you Jun...but you leave me no choice~
Don't worry though, I'll make this quick, just like ripping off a band aid~"

Just as the bully was about to get any closer, there was then a flash of light shining at all four of them, causing them to turn their heads to the source.
It was Mackenzie Huntington...
with a sock?

These bastards...what the hell do they think they're doing to my friend? To MY roommate?

"Hey...he said to leave him alone, don't you guys listen? Or are you just too ignorant?"

"Tch, it's you again...you better stay back before you get a taste of my blade~"

"Oh please, as if I'm afraid of a tiny toy...now I suggest you give me back my friend or so help me, you're going to get knocked out by frozen butter~"

"Heh, frozen butter? That sounds so stupid-"

POW!
I slapped the bully with the edge of my butter sock, causing him to hiss in pain as he began spitting up blood.
I take the chance and throw him to the ground and before he came back up, I slapped him in the back of the head, causing him to groan.
I turn to the others, smirking.

"Anyone else want to tango?~"

The two bullies shake their heads before letting go of Juno and running away. I stick out my tongue at them as I pout.

"I hope karma slaps you in the face before I DO!"

"Ugh...you...you're crazy..."

The leader of the bully groans as he staggers to get up, staring at me with fear.
I sigh as I put my butter sock away, staring at the bully with pity.

"Not as crazy as you...you tortured Juno. Why? What has he ever done to you? Could you answer me that?"

"...He has never done anything to me..."

"Exactly...so why? Why hurt him anyway? Yeah, I get it, it's okay to dislike someone or even dislike them for no reason whatsoever...but it's not okay to disrespect, degrade, hurt or humiliate them."

"...Yeah...you're right..."

"Yeah, you know that I'm right...so you better have learned a good lesson here today, because I want you to change from here on out. I want you to go up to every other person you've hurt, both in the past and in today's present, and apologize to them...sincerely. Okay? Bullying is wrong and you damn well know it..."

"...Yes ma'am...Jun...I'm sorry..."

The bully whispered before silently leaving both me and Juno behind in the dark alley.
Juno stares at me with softness in his eyes before hugging me.

"Mackenzie...thank you...thank you so much."

"...Don't thank me Juno, I'm not just doing this for you, I'm also doing it for the other victims out there...someone has to speak up, it's a lot better than hiding in the crowd..."

I explained as I hugged him back, rubbing his back.
From that day on, Juno, along with other bullied students were finally free from being hurt and being treated so little.
And believe me, you have no idea how happy and grateful I am to now see Juno smiling once again...
