After that loud scream we heard, me and Kou quickly rushed to Val's room, seeing what was going on.
Just as we made it there, we saw a young butler running out of the room, panicking like he just saw a dead body.
Then when me and Kou entered the room, we gasped, for there was a dead body on the bed.
Val's bed.
I then found Val standing in the corner, quaking with fear as sweat dripped down her brow. I quickly rush by her side, holding her.

"V-Val, what's going on?!"

"H-He's dead! Tao is dead!"
(;*△*;)

"Val, calm down! This is just another fake murder mystery! Everything's okay~"

I reassured her as I rub her back, trying to calm her down. Kou stares at the body, gulping.

"I don't know Mackenzie, he looks pretty dead to me..."
( ⚆ _ ⚆ )

"Oh come on guys, look look, I'll prove it to you!"

I said as I take out a small mirror, approached the body and place the mirror under Tao's nose. My smile then falters after checking for his breath. If there's fog, then he's breathing...but in this case, there was no fog.
I gasped.

"No breath...oh my god, he really is dead..."

Just then, the young butler comes back with a detective. A real detective.
The detective stares at the three of us with a serious expression.

"I'm Detective Watson, hotel security, nobody touch anything!  You said that she and the victim were the only two in here...?"

The detective asked the butler, who nods his head.

"That's right sir..."

Detective Watson nods as he then examines the body, checking for a pulse. He then shakes his head sadly.

"He's dead alright...a steak knife right through the heart..."

"Yeah, no shit Sherlock..."

Kou scoffed as Watson stares at him with annoyance.

"I want everyone out of this room! I'm clearing it for investigation! No body is going to leave the hotel, especially you!"

Watson then points his stumpy finger that Val, who stares at him with shock.

"As of now, you're the only suspect..."

"B-But it wasn't me! I didn't kill him! I would never kill my idol!"

"That's what they all say...once the police get here, you'll be placed under arrest...now come with me, we need to ask you some questions"

"Not so fast there, Detective Watson~"

The four of us heard a soft voice coming from the other side of the room, causing us to gasp and turn around to see who's voice it belonged to.
It was Juno, who was sitting on the window sill, smiling as he pushes his round glasses back on his face.
I stared at my innocent roommate in awe before speaking to him.

"Juno, what took you so long?! And why are you dressed as Detective Conan?"

"Save your questions for later, Mackenzie~ I promise you that I shall answer them when I have the chance~
As of now, I am going to be investigating this case~"

Juno explains as he takes a good look at the body before turning to Val, who
was shaking with fear.
Poor Val...did she really do this?

"I may have met Val once in my life, but I do know in my heart that she would never do such a thing like this...she might've been framed~"

"Framed? How would you know? You don't have any evidence to support that!"

"Not yet but soon, I will~
Now please, leave this case to me and I shall find the real culprit~ In the meantime, I want to ask Val a few questions..."

"Ugh...I can't believe I'm listening to a kid...fine, I'll let you solve this case, but if you don't give us an answer when the police arrive, I'm placing this woman under arrest!"

Watson shouts as he then closes the door, leaving me and the others behind with the dead body.
Wow, what a great detective he is...
Juno then kneels in front of Val, taking out his small notebook and pencil.

"Now Val, I know that you will tell me the truth...so what happened exactly?"

"I-I don't know! I was just in the shower, getting ready to umm...well, hook up with Tao..."

"Why would you hook up with that cheater? I bet he cheated on the last case just so he could show off!"

"Kou, shush. Okay Val, then what happened next?"

"T-Then I heard the door knock and that's when the butler came in with the cake! That's when he first spotted the body! That's when I first spotted the body too! I-I didn't kill him, believe me I didn't!"

"Hmm, very strange...and only you and him had the keys to the room, correct?"

Juno questioned as he examines the room key that was on the drawer next to a small receipt of Tao's order for the chocolate cake.
Val nods as she looked like she was about to cry. Juno then looks at the body again, staring directly at the bloody steak knife.

"Val, did you perhaps have steak for dinner...?"

"...Yes I have..."

Me and Kou gasped, suddenly remembering that Val DID have steak for dinner earlier! Juno quietly nods before turning back to us.

"Mackenzie, I need to have a word with you. Kou, Val, you should probably go back to the dining room...the police will be here soon"

The two stare at each other, then nod, leaving the room. Now it was only me and Juno...and the dead body of Tao.
I sighed deeply as I take a seat in front of Detective Juno.

"What are we going to do...? We don't even know whether or not Val is the real murderer..."

"Do you believe she is?"

Juno asked me as he stares at me with a sad look on his face.
I shake my head.

"No, of course not! Val would never kill anyone, why would she kill her favorite idol?"

"She didn't and I know she didn't. It would be too obvious. Think about it, if you killed him, would you try to at least hide the body?"

"I mean...yeah, I would hide the body"

"But in this case, she didn't, because she didn't even know he was dead until the butler found him. Someone else killed him and it must've been while Val was in the shower...was Tao with anyone else at this event?"

"Hmm...if I remember correctly, I believe he did come to the event with a woman...I don't know who she is though"

"...Of course! I got it! I have a deduction! I think I know what really happened! Come on! We need to tell the others!"

Juno announces as he then grabs my hand and takes me to the dining room, where everyone and the police were.
Detective Watson then makes an announcement.

"Val, you are under arrest for the murder of Huang Zitao!"

"N-No wait please!"

"Wait!"

Juno stops Detective Watson before he could put the handcuffs on Val, who was now hiding behind me. Juno then smiles as he fixes his red bow tie.

"You may have the Who and the What, but, you still haven't established a motive~"

"I know her motive!"

Said a random woman from the crowd. It was the woman from before, who came to the event along with Tao!

"She wanted to have him all of herself, of course! She's a crazy fan of his. When they made it to the room, she tried seducing him but he kept refusing. That's why he ordered the chocolate cake! Because he wanted to let her down so easy! But look what she did...she killed the poor man"

"T-That's not true! I-I wasn't trying to seduce him! He wanted to be in the room with me so he could give me an autograph and a picture!"

"That's a good motive Miss, but not true~ First off, why would she bring a steak knife to the room if she knew she was getting a free autograph and picture from an idol she loves and cherishes? There's no reason she would do that. Plus, she didn't have to seduce him, it appeared that he already loved her at first sight..."

"...Okay that is true, he even admitted it to me before I went in the shower"

Detective Watson clicks his tongue in disbelief as he then folds his arms.

"You still haven't answered the question of how somebody else got into the room!"

"What if there was a knock at the door? Tao probably assumed that it was the butler with the cake! Here's another thing, how did you know that Tao ordered a chocolate cake...Miss?~"

Juno asked the woman who came to the event with Tao, who sat there in silence. Juno then smiles and snaps his fingers.

"The only way you would've known that is if you had been there prior to the murder! I can clearly see now how it happened...during dinner, when she saw Val talking to Tao then giving him her key, she was furious. She dropped a steak knife into her purse and when she thought the coast was clear, she went upstairs after Val did~
While Tao was making himself comfortable in the room while Val was in the shower, there was a knock at the door and he thought it was the butler with the cake. However, when he opened it, it was her, the woman who came with him in the beginning! She was so angry that he left her for Val that she stabbed him right in the heart and quickly left before Val could discover the body. Jealous rage is the motive yes, but it wasn't Val who murdered Tao, it was you Miss! You murdered Tao!"

"...Damn you Detective Conan, damn you!"

The woman then pulls out a gun and was about to shoot Juno, but I quickly rush in front of him, being his shield.
I won't let Juno die!
I close my eyes, bracing for impact...I heard the gunshot, but no bullet piercing through me. I then open my eyes, finding out that the woman shot...a blank?
Detective Watson then smirks as he claps his hands.

"And there you have it everyone! The Who, What and How! Congratulations Juno for solving the case! Thank you all for coming to the event!"

"WHAT?!"

Me, Val and Kou screamed as we all stared at everyone with wide eyes. Tao even came downstairs, laughing as he took the fake knife out of his chest.

"I-It was all fake?!"

"Of course it was fake Mackenzie~
Remember when I examined his body? I saw that he was secretly breathing so I knew it was a fake murder! I just decided to go along with it~"

Juno smirked as he pinches my cheek, causing me to blush. Kou and Val groaned as they then left the building along with the crowd. I stared at Juno with shock before sighing.

"Well...at least it wasn't a real murder...but Juno, you were so smart solving a case like that! I'm surprised! It's like you are Detective Conan!"

"Well, I learned from the best~
I also learned that there's always one truth and that you shouldn't jump to conclusions so easily!"

"Yeah, I also learned that you look super cute dressed as him too~"

"M-Mackenzie!"
