6. Chana Daal Vada

Amazing recipe... Must try once. 

Ingredients

Chana daal (Bengal gram daal) 100gms

Chopped onion 1

Ginger 12" piece grated

Cinnamon 1" piece or 1/2 tsp

Hing a pinch

Green chillies 1

Salt to taste

Curry leaves 10

Cumin seeds 1 tsp

Method

• Wash and soak daal for 4 hours.

• Coarsely grind channa daal with cinnamon and chillies. Adding minimum amount of water.

• Add onion, ginger, curry patta, hing, salt and ground cumin powder.

• Mix well, take a spoon ful on your wet palm and flatten them a bit, give desired shape and slip gently into hot oil.

• Fry on medium flame till golden brown.

• Serve hot with coconut chutney or green chutney.
