4. Besan Ka Parantha
A mouth watering parantha, which is like a khasta kachori. If you like kachories then you are going to love this besan stuffed parantha. It has a unique taste so must give it a try.
Ingredients
Atta (wheat flour) 1 cup
Ghee 1 tsp
Salt 1 pinch
Besan 3tbsp
Jeera 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Red chilli powder 1/4 tsp
Ghee or oil for shallow frying
Method
• Knead a soft dough with atta, salt and ghee.
• Now make balls from the dough, and roll it like a chapati.
• Apply 1/2 tsp melted ghee or oil, sprinkle a table spoon full of besan on it and then sprinkle some salt, red chilli powder and jeera (cumin seeds).
• Now pour 1/2 tsp of ghee in circular shape softly. If you put too much pressure the besan might start coming out.
• Seal the parantha as shown in pics. Now--
• Apply 1/2 tsp melted ghee or oil, sprinkle a table spoon full of besan on it and then sprinkle some salt, red chilli powder and jeera (cumin seeds).
• Now pour 2 tsp of ghee in circular shape softly. If you put too much pressure the besan might start coming out.
• Seal the parantha as shown in pics. Now roll it (lightly) again into a paranthaa.
• Heat a gridle and then shallow fry this parantha on both the sides keeping the flame low to make it flaky.
• Remove from gas and serve hot.
Tips
• Use dough which was prepared atlest 15 mins earlier. It should be soft. Should be prepared on low flame only.
• You can dry roast the besan if you want. It tastes better. Can also add 1 tsp finely chopped onion. On top of the besan.
