Last Time On 'My Idiotic Husband'; Narrators POV

The 4 girls Lucy Heartfilia, Erza Scarlet, Juvia Lockser and Levy McGarden had defeated Natsu Dragneel's gang in a Laser Tag battle. After their marvelous adventure of defeating the boys they continued their trip by shopping, Karaoke, and lastly a romance movie. Their day finally ended with Ice cream and giggles.

P R E S E N T

Lucy had really enjoyed her girls day with her bestfriends. Even with seeing Natsu he wasn't even on her mind. She felt normal once more. Happily humming songs by her favorite kpop group BTS, she flipped through her photo album smiling at her mothers pictures. From time to time she would laugh at her weird baby pictures. Before the memories made her depressed but now she could simply enjoy the memories of her mother. It was around Eight pm when she came across a photo of her mother and herself in the garden. Little Lucy laid on a blanket writing in a journal. The words unknown to her present self. It was right before her mothers death. Layla Heartfilia, Lucy's mother, was smiling brightly at little Lucy.

Present Lucy smiled softly placing her pointer finger on her mothers face circling it. Tears gently went down our beautiful blondes face. How she missed her mother deeply. Wiping away her tears Lucy glanced at the photo one more time, she noticed a pink rose next to where her younger self was laying.

'A Pink Rose? but we only had red roses' Lucy was confused. Not only that but she didn't even remember that journal. Lucy Heartfilia never forgets anything. How could she have forgotten those two simple things ?

Lucy Heartfilia sat in a corner crying her eyes out. Her parents had gotten into another argument. She was scared and had no clue what was going on. 'Why' she kept crying out in her head. This has been going on since she turned Ten.

Layla had enough. She didn't have long and she was afraid of what Jude would do once she was gone. Jude had already started planning for Lucy's arranged marriage after she turned 10.

"Lucy should marry who she loves! I don't want her to go through the same hardships I'm going through with you!" Layla screamed out. Soon after Lucy heard a loud smack following with her mothers screams. 'no no no' Lucy got up and ran out the house into the garden.

"anything I'll do anything! just please stop the pain" She cried out to her beloved pink rose clutching it with her small hands. She didn't care about the thorns in her hands. The pain in her heart was far worse.

"you okay?" Lucy looked up, a small boy around her age sat on the wall a red apple in his hand. He gave her a toothy smile. "your hands are bleeding you should get that taken care of"

Jumping off the wall that separates their properties the little boy walked through the Heartfilia's garden. Kneeling down he reached out his own small hands cuffing Lucy's.

"your hands are much smaller then mine!" The kid simply chuckled. Lucy questioned this odd boy in her head. 'is it ok? to talk to him..'

"no need to be shy. My family moved here a few days ago. so from now on I'm your neighbor. my momma can help clean up your owies. I know a secret passage way to get to my house from here without the wall" The Little boy exclaimed. Pulling her up he led her through the garden until they reached a small gate covered in plants. "don't tell anyone" He whispered. Lucy only nodded her head following him into his territory. What little Lucy didn't know was that her mother was being rushed to the hospital at that very moment.

Walking through the old garden Lucy noticed all her mothers beautiful green and color plants were nothing but dead grass and weeds now.

"there is no way that silly old pink rose is still alive anyway" She giggled at her own silliness before walking back inside. Not noticing that silly pink rose standing tall among the many dead red roses.
