Having to force herself to sleep was the toughest thing Nadia had to do in a while, but after so many failed attempts, she made it. She had slept even though her sleep had been disrupted by dreams that involved a face that clearly didn't belong to her husband. Rather, her husband's twin. She woke up feeling a bit down but then she had to act as if nothing had happened, it was the naming ceremony after all, and she was expected to be smiling and looking all lovely. The woman that always came to bathe Baby H did, and after she had fed him, Nadia asked her to kindly take him to Hajia, which she did.

She stayed longer than usual in the shower and when she came out, she wished she could just go to bed and sleep for the whole day, but that wasn't possible. She even had to start packing her belongings because she knew this time around, Mama would make sure she went back home. And her mother aside, she needed to get out of Hussain's sight for she didn't want them committing a sin they both would regret later.

She had only worn her gown, her long and silky hair raining on her back while she struggled so hard to zip it up when the door creaked ajar and without turning to see who the intruder was, Nadia sighed out of relief. "Sohila, could you please zip this for me? I don't know how my clothes are not fitting me as they used to. And to feed Baby H later will be a problem." She was thankful to Allah for the blessing he had bestowed upon her but there were things she wasn't ready for. Maybe she had already had it in mind that with Hassan everything will be easier and she would be fine but now that he wasn't together with her she didn't know what she would do.

Hussain watched her bare back with interest, how she managed to have such a flawless skin everywhere was something he was certain lots of women struggled with but he knew she had it effortlessly. He placed down the tray he had brought with him and smiled while she tried to sweep up her hair from her back. He held it, along with her hands. He had always wanted to see her hair, touch it, from the snippets he got from her front hair.

"I'll do that, Singleton." The way his words hit her nerves was something Nadia had never imagined it would. She wanted to run away, but he had her hooked to her spot by just holding both her hands with his along with her hair and if she could clearly remember, her back was still open!

She closed her eyes to control her breathing as he played with her hair all in the name of typing it into a ponytail, and it took him only god knew how long before he did and abruptly, Nadia felt his hand on her back, which forced a shiver out of her and she lounged forward away from him. She turned, her eyes trying so hard to emote anger but what she was feeling was far from anger.

"What do you think you're doing?" Unexpectedly, her voice croaked and she found tears pooling the brink of her eyes. He was making everything hard for her, she wanted to maintain her sanity for the course of the few days remaining for her but she didn't think it was possible with him around.

"You asked for help, so I'm helping." He looked so calm about everything that Nadia wanted to punch him so hard on the face. Before, he didn't come into her room, but now he acted as though this room was his and the privacy he used to give her was no longer important.

"I'm very sure you've heard the name I called, it wasn't you. I thought it was Sohila, and if for once you could give me some privacy, Hussain, I'd really appreciate it." A lone tear rolled down her cheek and she forcefully wiped at him and bursted out. "I've been trying so hard to maintain my sanity, my peace but you're making it hard on me. Please, if you can't help me in regaining the peace I've lost, don't destroy the little one left for me." She hated her tears for showing up in his presence, but what she hated more was her body for being affected by a single touch by him because...what the hell?!

He looked solemn as he watched her struggling to stop her tears but it was as though she was begging for more tears because they kept rolling uncontrollably. She stopped trying to fight them as her shoulders shagged as she sobbed and as much as he wanted to give her the privacy she wanted, Hussain knew he couldn't. And slowly, he pulled her to his chest and gave her the hug he had been dying to, since Hassan died.

At first, she was trying to revolt, to get out of his hold for a touch from him did more bad than good for her. But he only brought her closer and she rested her head on his chest as she softly cried while he slightly rocked them. Nadia wanted to stop herself so bad and push him, maybe even slap him and remind him of his position in her life, the lines he had been crossing that there were no more lines remaining between them, just a few. But she wanted the comfort, amazed at how effortlessly he could calm her down without even trying to.

And when she least expected it, she felt his hands as he pulled the zipper up and she wanted to melt under his touch. "Huss-" she tried to speak, because the way he handled that zip was more than just zipping it up for her.

"Shhh..." He whispered into her ears and she could only close her eyes as she leaned more into his chest. She hated doing this, but he was someone that she would never get the nerve to resist.

He pulled her away from his chest after a while and as she planned to speak to him, Nadia felt his lips on her forehead as he kissed her there and smile afterward. "Did I ever thank you for Baby H?"

She pulled away from his hold, trying so hard to force her heart down to her chest. She knew for all the time she had been married to Hassan, she could count the number of times he had kissed her forehead in one hand and some fingers will still be left. But to him, it was different, he had kissed her forehead for times she didn't even care to count and if she would be truthful, it was no funny to her heart.

"You did," she said through gritted teeth, walking away from him to have a measurable distance between them. "And I'm certain I've told you to give me some privacy, stop touching me, always make sure we have some distance between us. But most importantly, stop kissing my forehead!" Unless you want me to fall in love with that face twice in my lifetime, she wanted to add, but held herself back.

He folded his hands around his chest and smiled at her, and if she had noticed so well, he hadn't spoken more than five words to her since the day he told her he got married, it had always been actions for him. "Why?" He softly asked, his eyes dreamily staring at her that she had no choice but to turn away from him.

"Because I'm not your wife. And even though I'm sure you know but choose to ignore, what you're doing is haram and a sin. Apart from that, it's not healthy to either of us, so please, stop making things hard on me." She wasn't looking at him when she said those words as she quickly applied a powder and a white lip balm. She knew Hajia would talk about how empty her face looked, that was why she added some kohl to her eyes.

She was aware of him walking toward her as she still sat on the vanity stool, and Nadia could feel her heart skyrocketing. He stood very stood close her and her hands immediately got sweaty. She had tied her head tie and looked up at him with a sturdy expression but when his lips landed directly on hers and he gave her a quick peck their before grinning, she felt the leap her heart made to the floor, weeping because it had already caught feelings whatsoever.

He quickly backed off into the room with a satisfied smile on his lips, maybe he had always wanted to do that. "Hussain!!!" She yelled at the pitch of her voice and she watched him sat down on the sofa with a tray of food on the table as he tapped the space next to him.

"Come, let's eat some breakfast before the throng of well wishers arrive."

Okay, she was furious! And right now, she was certain that something definitely happened to him whatever it may be. She walked toward him fuming with rage and stood in front of him with her hands at akimbo, "What did you just did?! What the hell was that, Hussain? I'm so tired of the games you're playing on me, this should be the last time! And you need to get out of my room, because I need my privacy and I can't be having breakfast with a man I have no ties with."

He looked up, and mistakenly, their eyes met which she quickly had to look away because of the unknown effect his eyes had on her. "And because of this..." Subconsciously, the tips of her fingers touched her lips as she spoke, "I'll be leaving in two days. You can't have me sinning every now and then." She rolled her eyes at him and from her expression, she was waiting for him to get out of the room.

Hussain smiled at her and tapped the space beside him again, "It's either you sit here by yourself and eat because I can't have you starving and later on starving my son, or I'll have you sit on my laps so I could feed you myself and later on feed Baby H, all by myself."

At first, Nadia looked askance at him but in her mind she was certain that Husain had lost it. He was either into drugs or someone had casted a spell on him. He tried to pull her wrist to him and that was when she knew he actually meant it. So she sat on the sofa, but far away from him as he served them the breakfast.

Begrudgingly, without a word shared between them, Nadia ate the breakfast not because she wanted to but because she knew he could actually do what he had said. She didn't know what had gone to him but she was certain it had come to the stage she would have to talk to Hajia. Anyways, she would make sure to avoid him for the two days that were remaining for her in this house.

He collected the mug she was trying to place down and kept it himself. "You aren't leaving, Nadia. You're stuck with me forever." He leaned in, trying to peck her forehead again but she quickly dodged it and laid on the sofa, covering her entire face.

Hussain stared at how cute she looked, how it was tickling his heart and the patience he had had to force on himself over the days. But then slowly, he knew they were getting there, and one day he would have to do whatever he wanted with her. "If you're sleepy, I'll turn the lights of for you and increase the temperature of the AC." She ignored him and he smiled. "Nadia, I'm sure you can hear me. Should I tell Hajia not to disturb you until you're up?" She ignored him again, still curled up on the sofa as she covered her whole face.

Hussain knew there was only one thing that could make her speak to him, look up at him so he could have the chance to stare into her eyes. So, he scooped her into his eyes and she quickly opened her eyes when she felt her in his arms. "Where are you taking me? Hussain!" She panted, he was walking out of her room!

He chuckled and looked down at how luscious her lips looked. He might try to control himself today, but later, tomorrow, at whatever chance he would get before she left. "I'm taking you to my room, that way none of them could ever guess you're there or even try to disturb you. You can sleep peacefully." He was already in his room and she closed her eyes tightly. She didn't know what was going on with their lives, the change that was happening or how the hell this was happening between them.

She felt as he softly laid her on the bed with her eyes tightly closed as he pulled the duvet to her chest. "Am I so ugly that you hate to see me, Singleton?" He whispered and she knew it was only the strong will of Allah that's still keeping her alive.

"Don't call me that." She replied almost immediately.

"Then look at me and thank me for being your savior of the day." She was aware of where he was seated around her stomach on the bed and she didn't have to open her eyes for her to know that he was earnestly staring at his face. She ignored him nevertheless, because to her, that would be the only way to push him away so he could leave her alone.

"Since you're asleep already, I guess I can sleep by your side. Just for today, I promise not to touch you or-" She cut him off mid sentence, with her eyes flying open.

"Okay, thank you for being my..." At first he thought that he could control himself the way he had done before. But as soon as she began to speak with her eyes into his and her lips unknowingly looking seductive as she spoke, Hussain knew it had to be now or never.

So, he looked directly into her eyes before he slowly, yet tender, merged their lips together in a way that both their hearts lost a beat at once and she bulged her eyes out as though a saucer before she clasped them shut, trying so hard to stop her heart from beating against her ribcage as he sync their lips in the most passionate way ever known to her. Slightly, she opened her lips and invited him and when he had taken her whole, Nadia heard their moans coalescing as their bodies reacted to the emotions roaming in them.
