He had apologized, but she was still finding it so hard to forgive him. She didn't know why she hadn't told him what was going on, the mistakes she had made. She looked up at him and how he was lazily packing his clothes. Hussain was leaving today and they were to leave together for Hassan had to report to the airport in Abuja too.

He looked up at her and she quickly pulled her eyes away from him, "Are you still going to be mad at me, Singleton?" She only flashed him a single glance and took her eyes off him, the image of Hussain as she kissed him running back through her mind and she clutched them shut. She had to bring an end to this. She was tired of their game, she wanted nothing but the truth now.

She turned to look at him with a cold look on her face. Tapping the space beside her, she spoke, "Can you please sit for a moment? I need to talk to you about something."

He gulped down a lump in his throat and sat on the spot she was tapping. He turned so they could face each other but the look on Nadia's face spoke about how much she wasn't ready for anything sentimental. She turned to face him, "This is serious, Hassan..." well, she didn't have to tell him that it was serious because he could sense that from the way her voice sounded and the name she called him with. He couldn't remember the last time Nadia called him Hassan unless she was extremely serious about something.

He nodded his head and folded his arms across his chest, "I'm all ears, Nadia."

She fixed her eyes directly into his and asked, "What's the difference between you and Hussain? Don't say that you're not going to tell me because you had a promise since childhood. I'm tired of this game, Hassan!"

He sighed and his shoulders slumped in defeat, "Nadia..."

"Unless you're going to tell me what differs the two of you, I'm not ready for any conversation, Hassan!" She cut him off and furiously stood up. He stood up as well, staring into her eyes with a look so soft she feared would lull her to sleep.

"Can you do me a favor?" She both loved and hated the way she loved this man. No matter how furious she was, and how she was driven by anger to do something, one look and word from him can change everything. And right now, even though she wanted to say no, her head reluctantly nodded.

"What is it?" She could see pain in his eyes, as though what she had asked of him was something that required a sacrifice of his life and he was ready to do that even though it would pain him terribly.

"Can you please ask Hussain? It's a promise we sealed with our souls, Nadia." She was about to argue when he slowly cut her off. "I know how hard it is on you, how dumb you must be feelings but please, I can't reveal this out unless he agrees. He won't agree but he can if you ask him yourself."

She opened her mouth to speak but clasped it shut. She was so angry that she didn't know what to say and she also didn't want to regret what she would say to him. She walked out of the room furiously and met Hussain in the living room. "Can I speak to you?"

He looked up from the plate he was nibbling on a pancake she made for her 'husband' and their eyes met. This was the first time they had an eye contact since the kiss they had. Nadia quickly pulled her eyes away from his face and walked toward the dining table. He wasn't looking at her, acting as though he was still the only one in the living room until she sat down and she heard his voice.

"I'm sorry for what happened that day..." she cut him off before he was done with what he was saying.

"If you're really sorry, then allow Hassan to tell me the difference between you two." He abruptly shoot his eyes up at her as though she had asked him to dive a sword into his brother's chest.

"You don't mean it..." he whispered as he shook his head out of disbelief. What would make her think that he would let Hassan to tell her their differences? Like he knew it would be better if she knew, but then they promised each other!

She was staring at him with both anger and disbelief. "What do you mean by I don't mean it?! Hussain, I want to know what differs you, I can't always be mistaking you as my husband!" When she said that their eyes met and what happened crossed their minds at the same time before they all tore their eyes off.

He stood up with a hardened expression, "Whatever it is." He sighed and briskly looked at her, "If he wants to do that, he can tell you." And he walked out of the living room but she knew better than to know that Hassan will tell her anything without his Twin approving of something they took and treasured as though it was their lives.

She dejectedly walked back to their room and by then he was done parking. He slowly walked toward her and pulled her into a hug. Nadia rested her head on his chest and cried to her satisfaction. "I'm sorry, Singleton," was all he could say because he didn't have to ask her to know that Hussain didn't agree with what she wanted.

It took time before he consoled her and Hajia called him so that they can leave early. They met Hussain in Hajia's chamber as they had breakfast while Sohila told him a story. Nadia sat down beside Hajia and all the while, not looking up at either of the two because she didn't want to confuse herself further.

They were midway into their meal when Hajia cleared her throat and they all looked up at her, "Hussain..." she began, and they all kept silent to hear what she had to say that she would address only him. "I want you to set things right with Mufeeda, she loves you and it's high time we make things official. I don't like the way you can spend months out of this country alone without a wife..."

His eyes bulged out unbelievably as if this was the last thing he had ever expected from Hajia. "Hajia... Mufeeda?" He couldn't believe it. As if Mufeeda wasn't woman enough for his mother to suggest he got married to her.

"Yes, Mufeeda. You can see how your brother has settled down, when do you plan on doing that yourself? If you don't love her, then I'll give you a month to let me know of the woman you want to get married to. If not, I'll talk to her father myself and we will get you married even if you're not back in this country."

"Hajia why all this..?" His voice was low and slow before she stood up to show him that she was done talking.

"That's final." And she turned to look at Hassan, "You should set him into his right senses, I'm not backing out this time around. Also, make sure you drive safely and call me when you've arrived." The look in her eyes were motherly and full of love but her words said otherwise. She walked into the living room, draped her veil all over her body before she took the car key and left without another word.

Hussain turned with a whining expression to Hassan as if he was an inch to breaking into tears, "First H, tell your mother to abort this mission of hers."

He threw his head back and laughed before punched him on his arm, "You're not serious, we both know that expression is final, don't we?"

Helplessly, Hussain turned to look at Sohila as though he was looking for her help too but she pouted her lips, "Second H, Hajia will dice me if I speak up about this. And it's only right if you get married plus Mufeeda loves you so much that she barely speaks about..." the way he lounged forward forced her to hide behind Nadia and scream, "First H, hold your twin!"

He did, as they all burst into a peal of laughter, excluding Nadia. While fuming, Hussain stood up and they all followed behind him to the car. Their luggages were already in the trunk and Sohila smiled sadly while she stared at them.

She hugged Hassan with a smile, "You should drive safely on way there and back, First Baba." It emoted her love whenever she regarded to them as Baba, and they found joy and love. He smiled, tightened his hold on her as he fondled her head.

"I will, Sohila. We will talk about what you should do with your life when I'm back, okay?" She smiled and nodded her head before she moved to where Hussain stood as he stared at her and from the way he looked, she knew he was only resisting not hugging her first.

She chuckled before she leaned closer and hugged him tightly. "You know somehow, you're my fave, right?" She slightly lifted her face so their eyes met.

Hassan coughed, "I've heard that, by the way."

She laughed and Hussain did too. "I'm sorry that Hajia did this but we don't have a choice, Second H. Let's get a wife or marry Mufeeda, she's not that bad." He tightened his hold on her in a rough way and she giggled. "I'm sorry. Anyways, you should stop scowling your face, it makes you look less handsome. Take care of yourself and call me everyday, I love you soo much!"

"You won't call me Baba today?" He asked with a fake pout and she giggled while shaking her head.

"That's for First H today. But y'all know I love you both, don't you?" They all turned to face her and hugged her while lovingly patting her head.

"We do, Baby girl. And we love you more." She giggled happily. She loved these guys the same way she loved her life.

Hassan waited until Hussain got into the car and Sohila turned to his side as they spoke about god knows what before he moved toward Nadia that had an expression he couldn't point out at and he stood an inch away from her. She looked up at him with a frown and pout on her face.

"Won't you hug me?" She chuckled and lovingly pulled her to his body.

"I love you, Nadia. I love you so much to the point that it hurts me sometimes. You know that, right?" She pulled away from his chest while trying so hard to flick her tears back.

"I know, and I love you much more. Take care of yourself and make sure you drive safely." He kissed her forehead and the moment she felt his lips on her forehead, Nadia couldn't control her tears. She hugged him tightly as she cried. "I don't want you to leave."

Hassan chuckled and hugged her back, "I don't want to leave you either. Let's plan on when to relocate you back to Abuja when I'm back, okay? And this time, no more being loyal to Hajia, agreed?" He lifted her face and was clearing her tears when Hussain and Sohila came out of the car.

"First H, we're running late..." the moment his lips closed, their eyes met with Nadia and she rolled them angrily at him. He nearly laughed, but he knew better not to.

She walked Hassan to the car and closed the door for him when he sat down. "Be safe, Twin." She roughly pecked his cheeks and when their eyes met with Hussain again, this time her eye-roll was fiercer than before.
