1.8- Burying H.M

Lilac stood still, gripping Elena's hand as she stated at her supposivly dead girlfriend who was killed by Niklaus Mikealson.

Hillary stood proud in front of her past lover, whom she still loved. She had been lost for years, after Lilac had shut her humanity and run off Hillary wasn't able to find her. Until now.

Lilac shook her head as she dropped Elena's hand and took a step forward. Elena tried asked Lilac who this girl was, but her ears were blocked by the beauty she'd loved centuries ago.

Hillary opened her arms and Lilac fell into them, breathing in the familiar scent. Lilac smiled lightly, but then remembered Elena. For a moment she was surprised she'd forgotten about Elena.

"Elena, this is Hillary. My not so dead ex girlfriend." Hillary was hurt by Lilac's words, she thought they would have been right back together once they saw each other.

"Hillary, this is Elena. A very close friend of mine." Lilac put an emphasis on the 'very' making Elena smile.

"How are you alive? Klaus killed you." Lilac asked.

"You fed me your blood the day before, rememeber when I scratched my face from the dog." Lilac smiled, recalling the moment when her new puppy had scratched her skin, pretty deep as a matter of fact.

"It's good to see you, but why are you here?"

"You. I've been trying to find you for years. When Katherine called.me and told you were here I-" Lilac was happy by her words but once Katherine was in the picture, she blocked out everything else.

"Wait, Katherine call you?" Elena asked, making Hillary nod.

"Yeah we've been friends for a few years now." Lilac clenched her fists as she felt her fangs slowly slip out.

"Excuse me, I must find Katherine. Do not harm her Hillary." Hillary nodded and held her pinky out, recalling another old memory.

"I promise." She said waiting for Lilac to lock pinkies like old times. But Lilac just nodded before levying the room.

Elena smiled at her. She wasn't interested in her ex, only her. That made her happy.

Lilac searched for at least an hour before finding her back at their house. Katherine sat on the couch with a bottle of whiskey in her hands, taking the odd sip every once and a while.

When the door slammed closed Katherine smirked, knowing her plan was going into action. Lilac entered with an angered look on her face.

"You know, telling me my ex was alive would have been a good thing to know." Lilac said sternly.

"I didn't think it was important." Katherine shrugged.

"How selfish could you be?" Lilac asked, hurt laced in her words and her eyes trickled with salty tears.

"I want the best for you Lilac. So I thought bringing back someone I knew made you happy once ansnd can surely make you happy again." Katherine gushed as innocently as she could.

Lilac sighed. Katherine could be mean then kind in a second and that's what she hated.

"You're trying to get me but all your doing is pushing me away." Lilac mentioned making Katherine turning fully to her.

"So you're saying I have and chance?" Katherine questions, hopefulness in her voice.

"Possibly. But it's as thin as paper."

Katherine smirked before calling out too someone. Hillary came from behind the door with Elena locked in her arms, blood already trickling from her neck and a terrified look ok her face.

"Why is it that I always trust you, then you stab me in the back." Lilac kept her cool, making sure to not look at Elena again.

"You always underestimate me Li."

"You disgust me Hillary. Coming back here just to tear apart the only shred of happiness I've got. It's sick." Lilac fully faced Hillary who's arms were wrapped tightly around Elena's body and neck.

She slowly walked over to Hillary, Elena praying she wouldn't due before she was taken from Hillary's grasp and into Lilac's. She sobbed silently and found Lilac's cheek, kissing it lightly.

Lilac rushed her into her room before locking the door to keep her safe, not wanting to keep her in risk anymore.

"Alright you backstabbers. Who's first." That was quickly answered when Hillary made the first move and attack Lilac to the ground.

There was a tearing sound and pain etched across Lilac's face. Her lower body was pinned down while Hillary began to punch any part of her body. Lilac rolled over and pushed her away and broke a chair, picking up a broken part and stabbed Hillary through the stomach.

Katherine watched, waiting for her chance to attack while Elena sat on Lilac's bed waiting for her to come back in, to tell her everything was going to be okay.

Another slap came to Lilac's face making her face swing to the side and an almost unbearable pain entered her chest, thankfully away from her heart. She breathed deeply as she looked attack Katherine who was now looking at her worried.

She slowly pulled the stake out of her chest before pouncing and jumping onto Hillary, stake high in the air until she stopped. Memories flashed through her brain as she thought of the past.

"One thing I don't understand is why I loved you." Hillary looked at Lilac confused.

"You're just like your mother." Lilac said before plunging the stake deep into her heart, killing her suppose to be dead girlfriend; this time to never return.

Hillary turned gray slowly and Lilac got up, looking at Katherine who was in clear shock. Lilac crossed her arms and made her way over to Katherine.

"Get out. I never want to see you again." Lilac spat. Katherine flinched but kept her stance.

"You can't make me." Lilac smirked. Before grabbing Katherine's shoulders and making her look into her eyes.

"Leave Mystic Falls. You were heart broken that I rejected you so you left." I let her goand watched her walk out slowly.

Remembering Elena, Lilac ran into her room and attacked her in a giant hug. Elena pulled away before capturing Lilac's lips with hers. Lilac held Elena's face in her hands as they shared another perfect moment.

Breaking away for a breath Elena realized how much she liked Lilac. Lilac had realized the same thing. Both girls turned to share deep the dead body of Hillary and only had one thing to do.

After throwing her body into a large six foot deep hole and pouring the dirt back in, Lilac had successfully buried her ex, forever and for good.

Tucking hair behind her ear she stomped the shovel into the ground and crouched to the ground. With her finger she traced words into the dirt. Standing up she read it aloud.

She looked at Elena who was smiling lightly.

"I really like you Elena, and it's not.not just my heightened emotions talking." Elena chuckled before taking Lilac's hand in her.

"I like you too. It's not the hormones talking either." The girls giggle before sharing a light kiss.
