1.7 - Blast From The Past

Katherine has been gone for weeks, stuck in the dungeon, giving more bonding time between Lilac and Elena.

They've gone on many dates, all successful and leading to a happy ending.

The two have been happier, especially Lilac considering everyday spent with Elena has helped her emotions settle.

Katherine only wanted happiness for Lilac, and she knew a better way for her get it than from her doppëlganger. She made a few calls before she was put into the Salvatore basement.

Lilac and Elena walked the streets hand in hand talking nonsense until they made it to the grill and sat at a booth. Ordering lunch the girls wait with their drinks.

Lilac looks across the room and sees what she thinks is a familiar head of orange locks. She shakes her head lightly and blinks, and the hair is gone. Turning back to Elena she listens to what she had to say.

"What are you thinking about?" Elena asked softly. Lilac looked across the room but still nothing.

"Uh, I just thought I saw someone I knew." After that the girls lunch came and they began to eat.

As they ate and chatted, Katherine was getting tortured by Damon, Stefan watched for some odd reason.

Another swipe of vervain and Katherine groaned, still keeping the smirk upon her face. Ever since she'd been in the basement she'd been doing that;as if she was up to something.

Being Katherine of course she did, but they wouldn't know until she wanted someone to. Damon being stubborn thought he could something out of her.

He threw the vervain and hot poker stick to the ground in frustration.

"What the hell is she planning?!" Damon shouted with hid hands in the air.

"Something for my own entertainment and life if you must know." Stefan crouched down the be eye level with Katherine.

"It has something to do with Lilac, doesn't it?" Katherine kept her face, clearly Stefan was figuring it out.

"Of course it does. Every decision I make is for her. If I haven't made it clear, I love her." Katherine admitted for what felt like the millionth time.

Stefan thought for a moment, trying to think of what she'd be up to, but his mind was blank. Katherine smiled in victory as the two brothers looked utterly confused.

Suddenly she broke the chains on the chair she was locked in and sped over to Damon, snapping his neck.

"Sorry Stefan, love to be tortured more and all, but I've got more important things to do." She then snapped Stefan's neck.

"And I don't need you following me." Was her last words.before she ran out of the house.

Lilac dropped Elena off after their outing before returning to her own house alone.

Elena fiddled with the little ring on her finger as she made her way up the stairs. She sneaked into Jeremy's room to see him nowhere to be found before entering her own room.

When she looked up she screamed at the sight of Katherine perched on her bed. Katherine only smirked wider before standing up.

"God, do you know how annoying you sound when you scream?" Katherine whines.

"What are you doing here?" She gulped, terrified of the vampire.

"To give you a warning. Stay away from Lilac." Katherine said simply.

"Why would I do that?"

"Because if you don't I'll makeep your life miserable." Elena liked Lilac alot, she cared for her. Being apart of her life meant so much to her and she wasn't going to stop because someone, especially her doppëlganger, hated it.

"If you haven't realized you've been doing a pretty good job of doing that without trying." Elena blurted out with pure confidence.

Before Katherine could take a step forward a small wind passed through the both of them and Lilac stood behind Katherine.

"Stop Katherine. This isn't helping your case." Lilac says walking over and standing infront of Elena, as if to protect her.

"What do you mean Li? I'm only trying to help you." Katherine tried to fool her but Lilac had heard enough from standing behind the door.

"Enough with the crap Katherine. The best way you can help me is to stay and way from me. I get it, you love me. I do too, but never will it be the way you want it." Lilac gapped Elena's hand from behind and held it tightly.

A tight frown made its way to Katherine's face before she spoke. "Fine. I'll stay away. But don't come running to me when you need help, because you will surely need it soon."

She whisked away before either girls could say another word. Elena hugged Lilac from behind to stop herself from shaking.

Lilac turned to Elena and placed a kiss atop her head. When another shot of air came through, Lilac was about to shout.

"Katherine! Please just-" Lilac stopped her shouting when she saw her face. Red hair, green eyes, soft skin. Her figure was the same as Lilac remembered. Lilac looked at her hand and notice atop sat similar ring placed on her ring finger.

Tears welled up in her eyes atop sat she choked out the only name in her mind.

"Hillary?"
